After a few cakey cookie accidents, and seeing John's advise about weighing, I am now weighing my ingredients 100% of the time. It's amazing the difference it makes in having consistent texture! This opened me up to other better baking techniques. Thanks!
I agree with the previous commenters. I find you John to be delightfully positive, educational, and just simply a happy gentleman who loves being in the kitchen like I do.
I've now made these brownie bites twice, have shared with friends and family. Such an easy recipe to follow, and so easy to make! Weighing out all the ingredients beforehand makes the whole process so very quick and easy (I don't mind having the extra dishes to wash!). These are the best little brownie morsels I've ever tasted, so moist and fudgy with the little crispy edges! I froze some as directed, and after thawing, they are just as wonderful as when first baked! This is a FOREVER recipe for brownies! Many, many thanks! ❤️❤️🤗
This is the same recipe I use for brownies (ingredient and measurement wise) and I always melted my butter in a pot and always just did the whole thing in the pot. Not having tons of dishes is a great method and it really makes them super fudgey and delicious
I’m sooooo thankful that you give us the measurements in grams!! I’m from Spain so I’m used to measuring in grams while baking. Since I came to the States, I have found so many recipes measuring in cups and I juts cannot do it!! Love your videos and you always make me laugh ☺️
John Kanell, i really really enjoy your recipes. I am a pre- teen who loves to bake, cook and all food related things. I look up to you and your amazing skills! All the recipes i use of yours taste like magic! Thank you❤️🤘
Peanut butter.. mmmmmm.... for sure! Perfect timing for Friday night, will whip these up tomorrow! Always nice to have a recipe you already have all the ingredients for, thanks!!
These turned out so moist! And the batter was exact for the 24, I did not have to scrimp, nor was a lot left over. I like that exactness. The video was excellent, bc if I would have read "use a skillet," I probably would not have done that.
John I watched the benefiter ad twice bc these brownies were so good and you’ve never steered me wrong! I’ve made hundreds of your recipes at this point, and I think this was the first ad I every saw- so happy to support your channel, you make all of us home cooks look like chefs 😅 ❤ these were absolutely so delicious and a huge hit with the kids!
Saved butter wrappers come in VERY handy for the bit at the beginning! Just use the wrappers to butter the muffin tin - much easier than fiddling with a chunk of butter.
This is the perfect recipe out there...trust me...if you had to choose one...let it be this one...and the brownie skin is flaky and shiny at the top...also the easiest recipe to follow
Omg every time I see a notification from your channel, I click it because I know that it is gonna be a GREAT video. All your videos are amazing and your personality too! Thank you for sharing all those amazing recipes 😃
I was just thinking the exact same thing....Always such a pick me up when one of his videos comes up. In addition to the useful recipes & cooking advice, it is just really nice to see someone being positive and happy : )
I love making brownies from scratch because of only having to use one pan! AND, they are so easy... no brownie mix needed. These look delicious! (We tried the brownie bites from Coscto, and they were super dry and NOT good!)
Being the mint choc chip-aholic that I am, I'd add either fine nibs of a minty chocolate or being the caffeine addict I am, I'd do a little granulated coffee for that complimentary coffee flavour
So I ordered my mini muffin pan and just made these Brownie bites here in the UK. I made them gluten free and lactose free with Doves FREEE gluten free plain flour plus half teaspoon xanthum gum, Flora Plant butter and 'Free from' chocolate chips and they were really delicious. Just the right size portion for snacks for the grandchildren.
Mine are baking right now the texture of the batter is definitely not the same it’s very slimy however it’s still baking Edit: they baked and they taste good but defiantly not fudgy I don’t recommend you can just use box mix Edit: nvm after I baked I let them rest for 15 mins and they totally changed and they taste heavenly Recommended 👌🏻
I buy bite size brownies here in Houston at HEB and Kroger. With an w/o nuts. They are DELISH. About 16 for 4.00 so these will be cheaper an I’m sure even better. Love your channel…..running to get eggs.
I need some advice, I'm making this now, and as I was whisking the cocoa powder, it started to...?...clump/seize up? Before I add my expensive vanilla extract and organic eggs I'm wondering if it's already ruined?
hi John.. luv u and all of your videos 💕. just 1 question, in your brownie video u used brown sugar as well as white. any reason u didn't use brown sugar here?
John, you are seriously going to ruin my diet! Everytime a vid pops up from you, I seriously struggle not to lick my screen! I've got to try these brownie bites now. Good excuse to get my grandsons over to help me bake a batch:)
I've dmed you this, but just to have more chances of you replying, I'm asking here too😅. Sooo, once I put the sugar in the melted butter, it always becomes soupy, caramelized, and thick, they don't come together, atleast not as clumpy as yours does. And then when I add my cocoa, everything becomes clumpy and very veryy oily. What do you think, is this because of my ingredients or the way I cooked it?

YAAAAAAS SCALE LYFE!!!!
@@katekramer7679 I am from England and we always weigh. Much better results 🙂

I made these today. Spot on 😊🤭 tbh, every recipe I have followed of John's has worked out perfectly. Now, he's the only baker I follow!

I love that you give weights for ingredients! It makes it so much easier and fewer dishes to wash! I wish all recipes have the weights 😊
John Kanell, i really really enjoy your recipes. I am a pre- teen who loves to bake, cook and all food related things. I look up to you and your amazing skills! All the recipes i use of yours taste like magic! Thank you❤️🤘
Hey John, I added white choc chips to make a triple choc chip brownie bite. Absolutely delicious, Thanks for the Recipe!
Peanut butter.. mmmmmm.... for sure! Perfect timing for Friday night, will whip these up tomorrow! Always nice to have a recipe you already have all the ingredients for, thanks!!
This is exactly what I need! How delicious!!

Hi John, I was just thinking about making brownies for my cousins, this is the perfect recipe! Thank you so much!
Still fairly new to baking and I’ve never heard anything about blooming cocoa powder before. I’m definitely trying these soon, they look sooo yummy!!
We see your new Preppy Kitchen cookbook in the background! I pre-ordered mine!
I definitely want to try this, thanks John. Sending love from South Africa 🇿🇦
These were the best brownie bites I've ever eaten woww!! Really really good in every way. Definitely worth a try. Thanks for this awesome recipe.
Saved butter wrappers come in VERY handy for the bit at the beginning! Just use the wrappers to butter the muffin tin - much easier than fiddling with a chunk of butter.
Good idea! I usually use a piece of wax paper to grease pans, or I’ll use liners in muffin tins.
This is a great tip! Thank you!
@@cbgbstew4072 You’re welcome!😉
@@cbgbstew4072 Ooops! Sorry! For some reason, I thought you were Kate!😬smh
@@Linrose8 It’s okay, and your tips are also great so thank you as well!
I have tried to make it. It’s taste yummy.. Thanks for sharing…
Would browning the butter add any improvement to the already delicious flavour, or would you not recommend doing that?
I just think you can't brown the butter too much, otherwise you lose too much liquid and it could mess with the whole recipe.
This is the perfect recipe out there...trust me...if you had to choose one...let it be this one...and the brownie skin is flaky and shiny at the top...also the easiest recipe to follow
I'm from Algeria and I love your cooking

I'm literally making this rn so excited for the results
I always like brownies so these will be amazing. Thanks for sharing this
Hi John!!!!
Can we use oil instead of butter?
I just made these and they are so easy and good. Thank you.
I would like to try these as keto, what flour is better to use? Lupin, coconut or almond?
I love making brownies from scratch because of only having to use one pan! AND, they are so easy... no brownie mix needed. These look delicious! (We tried the brownie bites from Coscto, and they were super dry and NOT good!)
I find chain bakery items are very hit and miss. Costco has better muffins than Sam’s, but Sam’s croissant is far better than Costco.
Looks delicious,
Can we use butter substitute?
and sugar substitute?
I did these last week and they were amazing! Thank youuu so much!!
Being the mint choc chip-aholic that I am, I'd add either fine nibs of a minty chocolate or being the caffeine addict I am, I'd do a little granulated coffee for that complimentary coffee flavour
They have these at Trader Joe's! Pre baked of course. I love them so much, so thank you for the recipe!

Just baked this morning, great recipe!
Oh man. I needed a reason to use my mini muffin pan. Thank you!
Good morning, is this the same cup cake pan or special for brownies?
Absolutely LOVE this recipe!! crispy on the outside, chewy on the in❤❤ The best part is that so simple and easy to follow! Awesome job John!
Perfect for winter!

Such a cool kitchen, I decided to fond this recipe because Sam's clubs 20 pack has on 4 bites in each package .
Oh my god love the idea of bite sized brownies. Also get that bag John💰. We don’t mind a small ad if you benefit out of it.
I buy bite size brownies here in Houston at HEB and Kroger. With an w/o nuts. They are DELISH. About 16 for 4.00 so these will be cheaper an I’m sure even better. Love your channel…..running to get eggs.
Is it ok to use this recipe in a normal brownie tin instead of the mini ones
I made it! Thank it"s very tasty and super quick and easy to make!!! 🤗🤗
Kept our littles up late tonight to bake these with them. Can confirm. They are delicious !
I made these today. They are so decadent! Thank you so much. ❤️🥰👍🏼

You were right about the mini muffin tin 😂🙈 finally a reason to use it! 😀
The brownie bites recipe is the best...thank you for sharing...im now selling this and it's always sold out...they love it❤
Yummy! How long do you bake them for?
Hi John, can we possibly cut down the sugar? Or that’s not a good idea?
Great idea! I love the crunchy edges and these are perfect for the freezer. Thanks!
My favorite, I'm going make these tomorrow!
Those brownie bites look so yummy 😋. Thank you for sharing yhe recipe and tips 👏👏.

Forget the brownies! THAT STOVE!!! MAYBE IN MY NEXT LIFE! WOW! ❤️
I need some advice, I'm making this now, and as I was whisking the cocoa powder, it started to...?...clump/seize up? Before I add my expensive vanilla extract and organic eggs I'm wondering if it's already ruined?
These should be called Morsels of Extreme Deliciousness! They are soooo good.
Just made these and they are SO GOOD!!
hi John..
luv u and all of your videos 💕.
just 1 question, in your brownie video u used brown sugar as well as white.
any reason u didn't use brown sugar here?
Hi John.. can I use anything else in place of eggs?
Wonderful John!
You are killing me. Yummmmmyyyyyyyy.

I love it when you poof the cocoa powder and make a face 😁🥰 looks delicious!
John, can't wait to make these. What is the stove setting when you are melting the butter and adding the sugar etc. ?
Quite the most educating ad ive seen on youtube
Can we double the ingredients to increase the quantity
Look delicious - just need to order a mini muffin pan and I will be making these for sure! Thanks John
I’ve made brownies in a normal size cupcake pan as well! Super yummy! 😋
These look amazing - thanks

Gorgeous brownies! I will add cup of coffee.
This is one of my fav!! 🤤🤤

How hot do you bake the brownies at? About to make them
You feel your food. I will be doing this as with many other successful recipes I’ve done of yours.
I am so excited for your book to come out !!!
Question: Can I still do this recipe but without the chocolate chips? Thank you
Another wonderful recipe
Hey John what could I use if I don't have a minimuffin tray thanks in advance
What temp do you bake these yummy bites???
Looks great John! 😋😋
Can you also add protein powder for protein brownies?
the way this guy describes chocolate and fudge has me drooling for these brownies 😭
Can I leave chocolate chips? Will it still have that shiny cracked tops without choco chips?
Can we use full chocolate chips instead of cocoa powder?
What a great idea... brownie edges are the best part 😋
looks yummy 😋
This may seem like a stupid question but how do you use the scale for all those ingredients? Are you setting it to zero fir each item?
I've dmed you this, but just to have more chances of you replying, I'm asking here too😅. Sooo, once I put the sugar in the melted butter, it always becomes soupy, caramelized, and thick, they don't come together, atleast not as clumpy as yours does. It looks amazing!
Hi John thank you for the soft pretzels recipe my hubby love it . I'm going to try mini brownies. Thanks again.
I love using Nutella to make brownie bites! They’re so yummy 🤤🌰🍫
These would be very dangerous around me, because, I could possibly eat ALL 24🤭💕🤣!
I'm the same way with anything chocolate lol.
