The roar is from Spielberg’s first big movie Duel. Basically Jaws with an 18 wheeler instead of shark. He put the same sound in jaws. Watch the 18 wheeler falling off cliff scene at end of Duel.
@@thegreatdoctordank5559 Nope! The roar is King Kong's. I do not know if Spielberg took Kong and used it for Duel? However, remember Spielberg had literally nothing to do with Jaws 4, so the correlation you are trying to make is forced coincidence as opposed to reality.

I like how Ellen in your edit, thinks about her past about things she hears/witnesses from Jaws and Jaws 2, instead of thinking about Sean's death, and Martin killing the shark when she was not there.
This ending is so much better than the finished one, the shark doesn’t roar, she has flashbacks to things she actually witnessed, and the sharks death makes so much more sense rather than it looking like she’s stabbing something off camera, and then the shark gets impaled while 25 feet in the air and just explodes.
...and just like that, you fixed the movie. Now if only Hollywood would do the same, and put it on DVD/Blu-ray, I would add it to my collection. Today, that's Jaws 1&2, and The Deep. Yes, I know the latter isn't about sharks, but Robert Shaw is in it!!!
Well done. Watching this makes it clear that this movie needs a remaster asap. The movie in itself features an interesting setting, good actors, beautiful music and some interesting scenes underwater, but the goofy moments, especially its laughable ending, makes it hard to digest. I say someone has to start a poll and ask for this to be remastered in a similar way to what this video is showing. Same goes for Superman 4 btw.
Good edit. The new flashbacks work better. I also know this ending where the ship stabs the shark and breaks apart. It was only years later I learned the “real” ending was the explosive one. That is beyond ridiculous!
Nice re-edit! Love the mask work done on the original Bruce shark getting impaled - you can still see one of Quint's harpoon darts stuck in its flank. Lol. Did you remove Bruce's jowls for the shot? I can't see them. Ellen's new flashbacks make more sense here than what was originally shown. You could've also used the Kintner death. Ellen was right behind her husband and looking ahead when the attack happened; she would've seen what he did. Some of the repurposed JAWS 2 shark shots reveal the burn mark on the side of its head. The water could also be colour corrected from blue to turquoise in some shots to better represent the Bahamas. Otherwise, great job.
Fantastic Edit dude!!!! This is a better reuse of footage than the original film and having jaws leap out and landing onto the broken mast makes a helluva lot more sense than having him in suspended animation out of water while Ellen slowly aims the boat into him.
Wow! You got me invested in the Revenge for the first time! Love the flashbacks to the first movies. Great job! You fixed what the studio could not fix 🥳
Okay, first of all this was a HUGE improvement. Secondly, thank you for removing the awful B- movie roar and drawn out slow motion. With that being said, this has nothing on the original. However, great edit! This editor approves!
I miss the roar, lol! Classic! Off topic but Jaws 3 still(imo) had 1 of the greatest death scenes ever in a Jaws flick when"Mister Fitzroyce"bit the dust so to speak!
Nice work! If only they had been bothered to do it hat way in the 1st place , it might have been a bigger success! The "ROARING" Shark is gone! The memories of Michael and not Shaun (as she never saw him getting killed ) was better and made more sense ! And the Sharks death actually looked Real! The only thing i would change from this , is jake's surivavl , which he does in the re cut version . some simple edits for that ;-), in the re cut version , there is a quick shot of him in the sharks mouth , underwater and he s trying to break free , this obviously implies he s not dead yet , cos he s "way to mean for that ", and "Uncle Jakes equipment Don t crap out ay "
This is really well done!! Very professional. I think I would have maybe shown that Jake's device was having an effect on the shark - and have him rear out of the water a couple of times first (so Ellen can ram the boat into him). As it is, it kind of looks as though he just jumps out and impales himself(?)
I think the death scene goes by a bit too fast and could have had some extra shots to ease the transition a bit such as the close-up shots of the shark with the blood coming out of its mouth as in the original impaling ending. But overall, much better than both of the endings: the exploding shark one for sure. The actual impaling ending, while suitable, just looks weird since the shark is standing way too high out of the water and looks as though it wanted the boat to strike it.
Brilliant much much better ending, great editing. In fact apart from the official ending I think J4 is a decent entry into the Jaws franchise and if they used your ending it would improve it no end overall. I prefer J4 to J3.
Okay, i like this better over the original ending BUT the shots where the shark roars should have been kept in. Let me explain. First off, the shark looks spectacular when sticking his head out of the water and he did the same back in jaws 1 so it doesnt come as odd. About the roar, I always thought of all that happening only in Mrs. Brodys mind: the roar, the shark coming after her, the revenge thirst, etc. She was paranoid at this point and in her mind she depicted Jaws as an evil monster that was out to get her. Also the flashback of Brody killing the shark and his son dying. I dont think they imply she was there, but its pretty safe to assume her husband told her about the time she killed the first shark so she was most likely building a picture of that in her mind, but this is just a movie so how else can you show that other than using a clip from Jaws 1? As for Seans death, she didnt see it but she knew what happened, so again she was imaging how it happened and the only way to show that is by showing a clip of that
He dies in the original theatrical. The one on video is where he dies. I love the character but having him survive that attack and blood loss in salt water was as believable as the roaring shark.
This is so much better and honestly, with how shitty the shark looked in the movie, I’m surprised they didn’t reuse a lot of footage from the previous films, because the shark actually looks relatively appealing in those
Which is a shame when you're four movies in and you expect things to improve and yet they show just the opposite. It's like they just stop trying to make quality movies when they realize they got a hit on their shoulders, but ironically do everything to give the series a bad rep and financially and critically shame it all the more. When will these studio heads and production crew members LEARN?
