Dorothy Ashby, yes, she deserves more spotlight. I learned her name when I saw Brandee Younger in concert last year. Great collections of music by a couple of amazing artists. Thanks for sharing them here, since I probably won't be able to afford to get my hands on them.

You've talked me into getting this Rollins, I think. I am also torn but love the inclusion of the Contemporary Leaders. I also am really in love with the drum sound of Shelly Manne on WOW. Nice score of a price for you on this, as well. Enjoy!

Cheers randy yes six lps are quite a lot but. It’s a one of box was enough to tempt me. Way out west his a fab lp on its own.

Beautiful box sets George but wow some of them have gotten way too high. I keep watching a few to see if prices come down. I love box sets but honestly George, I never pull them out to listen to again. What terrible weather on the final day of the open. Very Scottish I guess lol. Enjoyable and what a tough course.

Hi Steve. Being audiophile pressings the prices for these are going to be higher.
Yip the weather was pretty poor. That’s your uk weather one day great next cold and wet. Here in Scotland on Sunday was actually better than Liverpool. It ended up a bit of a bore as no one could make a brake for it.

Nice Dorothy Ashby box George. I was tempted by this but really want quality reissues of the two albums that follow this period, although not heard those ones to be fair...If I ever see it for a bargain price I will probably grab it though

I'm not very familiar with Dorothy Ashby but I do like the look of several of those albums. Box sets are hard to pass up, especially if you are missing several of the releases.

Thanks for confirming my opinion not to buy. I never buy box sets as overpriced & full of stuff I 'll never play. However really want a play copy of Way out West. Craft 's track record is that 1st expensive box set then 6 to 12 months later key record released individually. I suspect that Way out West will be released as a new OJC series within 12 months for £40
