    As the world of architecture continues to evolve, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly popular. just as the pioneers of modernism faced changes at that time we stand at the crossroads of a new revolution in science and technology. As AI technology advances, it can be used to automate and streamline the design process, allowing architects to create more efficient and creative designs. However, this could also lead to potential ethical problems such as the displacement of workers, the lack of accountability for design decisions, and ownership issues for the generated images. It is important that architects consider these implications when using AI in their work. By doing so, they can ensure that their designs are ethically sound and benefit society.

      Awesome roundup of AI tools for architecture! Ever considered featuring ZeroBot AI? It's a unique verbal chatbot that could bring a fresh perspective to your list. I think it'd be fascinating to see in a future video.

    Stable diffusion with A1111 plugin would outperform all these generative methods, to selectively generate and make changes to AI render from Architectural sketches and wireframes

      Came here looking for this comment. This list is weak and doesn't really help with more detailed workflows. But once you gain control of an AI, something not possible on those generic Midjourney like models, then you can use it to the fullest potential.

    I like the idea of Veras as a plug-in for rendering of human generated architectural design. I don't want to read anything generated by AI like Ryter; that kind of text is pretty easy to spot and not much like human language; it is bland, contains more points or information per amount of space than humans usually use, so sounds formal, lacking idiosyncracies. Anyone with a good ear will pick up on the AI quality of text, and the rest will simply get bored (I hope). I don't agree that Midjourney is easier to access than other a platforms (ChatGPT ia a snap)?; I don't want to mess with the discord account, "rooms," discord commands, etc; very confusing. I am in fact waiting impatiently for Veras for SketchUp to be released. Thanks for the overview.

    Hello Rasha, can you please tell us how did you gain experience and skills in various software, like did you practice by yourself and discovered? or through youtube videos? or through workshops and courses outside uni? I really wanna improve in Autocad and all these softwares but I am really overwhelmed and don't know where to begin,

    • @luamorett
      @luamorett Рік тому

      I would suggest not to learn autocad. Try directly revit or archicad. There are many good tutorials for both in UA-cam, or find a good academy (even online). And don't push yourself too much. It requires time to master those programs

      @@luamorett u see the problem is idk y our uni made a whole module for auto cad 3d like revit is so much better and general and precise, so that's y I want to have some experience in auto cad before the next semester but I also want to improve my revit knowledge so that's y it's overwhelming

    • @teresazigma7016
      @teresazigma7016 Рік тому

      @@peaceandlove11-h2b I do recommend you to learn AutoCad. Even though is a program that in my opinion we will stop using in the future (and Is a tricky program to master) it will set an excellent foundation for Revit and even Rhino. If you truly understand the logic of Autocad and learn how to use the commands instead of going for the buttons, learning Revit (and a bunch of other software including Sketchup) will be 3x easier and you will get used to a more efficient and faster way of working.

      Hi there! Gaining experience and skills in software like AutoCAD can feel overwhelming at first, but with the right approach, it becomes more manageable. I practiced on my own starting with simple projects and gradually increasing complexity. I mainly learned through watching UA-cam videos on that particular software. I find that is the cheapest method considering the amount of software we are "pressured" to learn lol. Remember, it's okay to take it one step at a time and be patient with yourself. Learning new software is a gradual process, and with persistence and dedication, you'll see improvement over time. Don't hesitate to reach out for help or seek additional resources if needed. You've got this!

    • @SurvivingArchitecture

      I think learning some basics in Autocad is necessary because some firms still use it. I use Revit mostly but I always export to Autocad to clean up the drawings. Not sure if I should just learn how to fix it in Revit lol

      Dall-e, Veras and midjourney are unreliable and lacks precision, which is important in the field if architecture. Luma is good if you want to use the models only for visualisation purposes but the models are not precise enough to be used in restoration projects. For AI viz purposes ComfyUI for Stable diffusion gives you a lot more control of the output image. At this stage most AI tools are unfortunately gimmicky to be used in real work environments.
