This is one of smartest and honest ways to use automation. Most people (movie studio VP) think AI can crate this entire process while reality is other. This video shows how the user does the creative thinking and use "AI" to automate the production work at a faster rate.
You've done it again! Hands down the most entertaining, informative and impressive showcase of a "typical" architectural task. This is very likely the way the AI workflow will impact architecture in the near future. Not as a substitute of an actual human being, but as a powerful visual idea iterator. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of the promts!
Coming from the photography world, I think it will be a similar thing. People are worried about AI replacing photographers, but the reality is that people want creative vision, not just the result. AI will never really replace that. AI will however, come to serve as an exceptionally useful tool in creative ideation and development. Like Eric said, it's more like sketching than having any prepared final product. That's left up to the individual.
This video brilliantly showcases the power of AI in architectural design, highlighting its potential to enhance creativity and efficiency in a good way.
@@30by40 Yes I have been experimenting with different forms of a.i. both visual and written. Like you outlined here I consider it similar to a sketch, to look at things a little differently. But what I really like about these examples in your videos is how you are using a.i. not really to explore a form, but to explore a mood, materiality and color. Im excited about trying something similar.
Finally! Had been looking forward to this one since you’d mentioned it! What an interesting take on mid journey & how you’re always educating us every step of the way inspiring us to take action!
I've found it's like consulting with a 3 year old designer who is a savant at drawing. It draws you with intriguing imagery and you search for useful concepts, but ultimately it has nothing grounded to say. It does seem to get me unstuck though.
Just the artistic elements of your videos make them worth watching. Great content as always. I wish I were at the beginning of my career, with all this new technology, rather than near the end! Very cool stuff.
This is a really great overview of how to integrate AI tools into the architectural design workflow. Midjourney is excellent for quickly visualizing concepts and analyzing the novel results as you've mentioned. Great work! We're also pursuing similar workflows with our practice 🤘

I’d like to see where this „part of the larger process” leads you. Show us an end result so we can judge how much of the impact on your creativity it had at the end. My opinion is that most of the users will end up this process on choosing one of the generated image after max 3 tries, and that is just sad.
As an architect seeking career guidance, I'm curious about your professional journey and any insights you could share on navigating the architectural field to enhance job satisfaction and success
I watched this with a wry smile. I have been on board with the channel from very early on.. I did think , 'What would that Eric think about the use of A.I. in the design process?'

@@30by40 My interior design students are traditionally weak in sketching and often because of time limits are also not exploring realistic 3D texturing - rendering as much as I do. The AI results are often not perfect but so are my renderings not really photo-realistic like a photo. Using the AI to create design variations, render interior concepts based on some raw 3D models, and similar tasks are so accessible and fast it is fascinating to see. And then also how it can be used to edit photos via in and out painting.
I'm on the Standard ($30/mo) plan which provides access to the latest releases and 15hrs of fast gen time. I'd consider myself a 'moderately heavy user' over the past two months. Remember people, treat AI like Jarvis where you’re Tony Stark. The brains is all you but you have a intelligent assistant to do the dirty work. Once you rely on AI to design something, it becomes poisonous
The only problem being right now this is singular, takes too much time to reproduce the same aesthetic across completely different environments, you learn just some data science text matching algortihm that you do by hand, you didn't get better at creating anything with your hands, you can't get hires prints because of current limitations. It's a nice toy for sure. But my point being if anyone re invests that time at becoming a better visual artist in any form, 2d, painting, 3d, animation then having to use these tools will only enchance creatuon not become the prison for the creativity
Interesting - so you are essentially using it a bit like collecting precedent images except selecting and remixing them to fit better with what you are looking for.
