Thanks for putting this together! I wonder soon if home furnishing stores will all have their own AI, digitally renovating our rooms using their furniture/decor and providing links to all products in real time. How cool would that be!
Well done Lydia! It's obvious this video takes a ton of your time to produce. Very informative, easy to understand and reasonably thorough given the paywall limitations. Thank you.

Thanks for this review. Did you see anything that would allow someone to upload a video and then give instructions for structural modifications like "take out that wall"?
I do simple projects for my customers (built-in cabinets, closets). I value having a design drawn up for many projects since it will be a centerpiece of the room, however having a great looking render on the spot will add tons of value for the customer instead of sending it off to my design team and having to wait a week. Can't wait until a software makes this possible. I'd still send off to design team if needed, but having an instant 3-D render to help the client visualize their space will be a game changer.
Great video! I have been trying some different ones out. Definitely saw some news ones in this video. There are so many now that it makes it a bit overwhelming to find the right one for you. And most are not free so research is a must and this video was a big help. Thanks!
Good to hear from you again Lydia, I was just thinking about how you haven’t put a video out in awhile and like magic here it is. Keep up the good work, I learn something new every time I watch your videos.
Thank you for the time and effort into this great content. This was a very well thought out and presented video. It was so helpful in narrowing down what’s out there and what makes sense for my project. Well done!
Hey Patel, this is really good research, my question is about the Home design AI. How does it react to a room with out furniture, can it place different furniture and art pieces in the room.. thanks

I have an awkward living room with incongruous structural features. Are there any AI programs that can produce interior design ideas based on a room floor plan?
These are nice software but I was hoping for something that could help with difficult to furnish rooms or that help with furniture placement. All the software seems to only offer new furniture pieces in the same place of the pre-existing, uploaded, furniture. But great review nonetheless!
Hey @lydiapatell, for 2D floorplans Im curious your opinion on the best tool that can convert a video/picture set to a dimensioned floor plan and how accurate they are?
I'm trying to find a way to use AI that will allow me to take a photo of an existing piece of furniture and place it into a completely different property. Any suggestions?
I haven’t seen any but wonder if this is something midjourney could do with some work..? (Personally though, it would be easier to photoshop at that point)

furniture shopping service that provides cohesive furniture choices based on your room layout, where you answer questions about the space and provide dimensions and pictures, and then an actual person sends you a floor plan and layout with the option to meet for questions, and the furniture is presented on their website for mixing and matching. 5.2 The AI interior design tool does not have markup in pricing and offers items from popular furniture stores, with designers ensuring accurate measurements, but does not include decor items like art and throw pillows. 5.3 Two Tree works best for being recommended for a free trial. 6.1 Instead of uploading a picture of your space, this AI interior design tool allows you to upload an inspirational photo and finds furniture that is on theme with but some features may not work well and some tools may be costly, with Spacely being recommended for a free trial. 7. 25:44 📐 AI interior design tools have the potential for idea generation and realistic design options but still have limitations in terms of machine learning capabilities and cost. 7.1 The search results in this AI interior design tool are mainly in Thai baht, but there are also U.S options available, and the quality of the search results is similar to a Google image search, making it a potentially useful tool. 7.2 The AI interior design tool allows users to upload an image and receive multiple realistic design options, with the ability to customize specific objects and access a color palette and furniture options for purchase. 7.3 The AI interior design tools provided designs that were closer to the desired style, with some structural misses, but overall had good design choices and can be used for inspiration. 7.4 AI-powered interior design tools are still in early stages, with a wide spectrum of machine learning capabilities, but there are useful options like homedesigns.ai for idea generation, spacely for image translation, and two tree or Hestia for space planning, with the downside being the cost. 8. 29:28 👍 There are pros and cons to each AI interior design tool, so watch the full review to find the one that suits your needs, and let the speaker know if there are any other tools they should try.
Hi Lydia, have you found an AI that can create a single room and then provide two or three accurate angles of view. From a video background perspective, I'm looking to achieve a 90 degree view i.e. looking straight to camera and then another, but at a 45 degree view for a second camera. :)
Hestya probably does since it’s based on a floor plan - I have a pinned comment showing final results. I would suggest checking with them first though, since it costs $$. Homestyler also might, since it’s floor plan based and then you generate renders, but it’s more cumbersome to use.. at that point many non AI traditional softwares can be options.
I am a hobbyist of architecture and interior design but i am not a tech savvy, i end up paying for Archi AI and regret because it is not whatbi expected. I want something that I can drag and drop and AI will put it into the design of my dream. Can you tell me which app will that be?
Great review . Your insights prove that artificial intelligence cant yet measure upto human intelligence and without the human touch one cant delve into design .AI tools are at the best assistants .Your review was masterful.Thank you for such a wonderful video .
Those ones who are good at adopting new tech in sales will have it soon. But as a designer, I don’t think AI will replace the sophisticated interior design. It’s a tool for inspiration.
Hello! Since this video is on interior design, I didn’t do detailed testing on landscape design. What did you think of the home design AI landscape renders?
You obviously put a lot of work into this video, thanks for putting it together! Do you have any input on which would be your favorite for an empty room with no furnishings? Also what would be your pick for a kitchen redesign?
Kitchen I would probably start with HomeDesigns AI for ideas since it’s not really a furniture situation. None of them so far have kitchen-level capabilities for identifying countertop material, appliances, etc. empty room- Hestya or ToTree have my vote because you could actually buy the furnitures!
Awsome analysis! Thank you for this review, I'm sure it took a lot of work. It's exactly what I expected as for the results. So for the time being I'm sticking to Pinterest and my Blender modeling and rendering 'skills'. PS: Being on vacation in Bohemia right now, I have a mixed feelings about what AI thinks is "Bohemian design" :-D
Hello lydia superb review really learned a lot and I watched all the 30 minutes with full attention ! I have a small query if you may , i'm still getting into interior design, and i want to learn about all the different styles for interior design, like how you label them as you are explaining in the video, would you please point me out to a source or a book, that kind of has a summary of each type of interior style not just just the basic naming like modern or like that , like the real design style , and characteristics , that would be great !! again really amazing video!! much love from Egypt 💕
Thanks for the kind words! For definition and details on each design style, this book below is a good reference point, but I have noticed in day to day usage not everyone follows the same conventions (eg sometimes people say “modern” but really mean transitional). www.amazon.com/Architectural-Digest-100-Century-Style/dp/1419733338?&_encoding=UTF8&tag=lydiapatel03-20&linkCode=ur2&linkId=a461a33b3f89e13541e50e8669b3495e&camp=1789&creative=9325 Another option is exploring images on Houzz by category. You are an exceptionally pleasant young lady, possessing a remarkable manner in presenting material, coupled with refined deportment and vitality. I wish you all the very best and continued success.
I was really inspired by your video! It reminded me of another AI-based design tool I came across, known as Stylar ai. This web tool has a feel similar to Photoshop, offering features like interior design styles, and it's more user-friendly. However, it's still quite basic and seems to be in a beta phase.
Is that not you in the Home designs instructional video? just signed up for the pro mode only to find out you can't fill an empty room with Pro. Seems like a bit of ripoff and at best quite deceptive.
Hey! Yes that is me, I added a comment here as a postscript after accepting freelance work for them. They found me through this video so the review was made prior to any work with any of these companies. Absolutely reach out to their support email and get a refund if this isn’t living up to your expectations.
@@lydiapatelll signed up for Pro only to find they want another $37 to be able to fill rooms. Ie photos of empty rooms won’t work if you only pay for Pro. Specifically says all modes available under the pro category.

i dont think Hestya have any ai involved in the process simply humans behind it trying their best between speed and render

Excellent video. Just what I was looking for
Very helpful, thanks
Awesome, this is just the content I have been looking for thanks!🎉
Thanks for watching!
@@lydiapatelll Hi Lydia, many thanks for coming back to me, I’ll take a look now :)
great video💕What about aihouse? Have you ever looked at it?
I’ll have to take a look!
I'm so happy with this video!!!!
Thanks!
Stable Diffusion + ControlNet is the real answer here. With depth maps, trained models, it can do all you need.
I am looking for something like, you set up a 3D floor plan, then it randomly generate the interior.
I saw a couple promising ones- I’ll try them and report back!
I am a hobbyist of architecture and interior design but i am not a tech savvy, i end up paying for Archi AI and regret because it is not whatbi expected. I want something that I can drag and drop and AI will put it into the design of my dream. Can you tell me which app will that be?
Thanks, love this video.
How can know item, materials details ?
All the softwares have a different way - time stamps in description box to revisit each one
thank you Lydia, great video and very helpful, I would say that home design had some bad reviews for cancelling
Oh yikes that’s good to know!
Thanks, this was great!
Thank you!
Thanks, this is very 😮helpful.
Okay Lydia, I'm going to subscribe. We are Landscape Designers. Do you have any Ai recommendations for me? I'm waiting for your advise.
Hello! Since this video is on interior design, I didn’t do detailed testing on landscape design. What did you think of the home design AI landscape renders?
Great video, thanks!
Thanks for your effort 🙏🏻♥️
why so loud music?
Because I was a complete amateur and learned to edit my own videos on the side? 🤷🏻♀️
From AI interior design to real furniture with RoomGPT and Elie Louis Furniture . Thank you Lydia Patel
Thank you! You've given me a great place to start exploring AI for my interior design business.
I would use home designs coastal. It makes the room stable somehow. I will try this design tool to my impossible-to-desing apartment 😊
Carbide Grovide? Grooving. Makes grooves in metal which is turning on a lathe. yeah not a piece of furniture.
😂😂
You obviously put a lot of work into this video, thanks for putting it together! Do you have any input on which would be your favorite for an empty room with no furnishings? Also what would be your pick for a kitchen redesign?
Kitchen I would probably start with HomeDesigns AI for ideas since it’s not really a furniture situation. None of them so far have kitchen-level capabilities for identifying countertop material, appliances, etc.
empty room- Hestya or ToTree have my vote because you could actually buy the furnitures!
love the video, it's so informative. Bluey fan here, for real life
Hurray! *arms up*
Awsome analysis!
Hope you’re having a great time on vacation! Right, I feel a lot of the labels on design style are debatable..
I tried homedesigns it's just midjourney so don't waste your money on this
Hello lydia superb review really learned a lot and I watched all the 30 minutes with full attention !

@@lydiapatelll You're the best ! thank youuuu so much
Tks for the effort
You are an exceptionally pleasant young lady, possessing a remarkable manner in presenting material, coupled with refined deportment and vitality. I wish you all the very best and continued success.
What about homeai
I will check them out!
I was really inspired by your video! It reminded me of another AI-based design tool I came across, known as Stylar ai. This web tool has a feel similar to Photoshop, offering features like interior design styles, and it's more user-friendly. However, it's still quite basic and seems to be in a beta phase.
I hadn’t heard of this, and it sounds interesting! Thanks for sharing
Bot promotion, ha ha
I am building the unicorn your taking about lol I will collaborate with you once I have my mvp
Finally!!
@@martinmilne5275 definitely reach out to them. I only did the welcome tutorial as a freelance project so I’m not part of their team or familiar with any changes to their pricing tiers.
Epic, thank you
