My MX bikes were 79, 80, 82 KX 250s. Air cooled reed valve two stroke. 79 twin shock. 80 single linkage shock. 82 same but with front disc brake first production bike equipped. Fun just to hear them again.
What an absolute ace track that looks like. Great seeing the vintage motos and some real names out there having fun. Love the connection with the younger guys and the , well, shall we say ...more mature amongst us. I loved racing motocross as a youngster in Australia, and do miss it now I'm here in the UK. This video made me a bit itchy....
Yeah man awesome looking track i will never get to ride. However I do get to ride Unadilla pro track in Central NY every year at the MX Rewind event. That track is my MX Heaven
Hell boys i am missing the trip to the states in fact missing a bike like hell.not much racing going on over in the UK. And even worst at the moment for me because i have just had a spine operation thru my throat to repair disc 5 6 and 7 so no riding for six months but hoping to be ready for MXDN at Farleigh castle then the world vets over with you boys .So keep the throttle wide open because i am coming.
Was that a yz 100 h at 1:43 ? Wow super rare👍 I used to have one around 30 years ago. Great all round bike especially with the Castrol r smell filling the air. Great vid guys much respect from the uk.🇬🇧👏👏
well IDK how you can say the modern Pro MX is boring with the competition that exists these days in both classes but yes sir it would be awesome to have something like that. I guess they sort of do now with the MX rewind at Unadilla in NY as there are old pros riding vintage machines there every year. Not really a world championship series though. You want boring???NASCAR...........
This was me back in the 70s i ate drank and slept motocross i road CZ 125 and 250 red frame the 125 was a dog but my red frame i could do anything jump land in the corner and turn , these tracks now a days triples you better land on the down slope of the third or your gettin hurt , thanks .
Vintage..lol.i raced when these bikes were state of the art...I'm old.had a maico 450 radial head.koni shocks.was a rocket with pogo stick suspension...the good old days.
Only one thing wrong with this video. Apart from the yellow yamaha with a red seat. It’s to short . needs to be longer. Loads of walk a rounds Great 👍 video. Thank you.
Fantastic video 👍 I raced the first Yamaha mono shock a 360. I remember Marty Smith saying why are you looking at our bikes…. The Flying Machine Factory Hondas are faster. My 75 Elsinore has a pipe on it with FMF welded on it.
Hey all! Thanks for the Marty and Nancy Smith memorial on the video!! And thanks for the the vintage racing see you soon!!
Vintage racing is all about the people!!🤙🏼💯

Compared with todays bikes, the old ones were works of art. So beautiful!

Gorgeous bikes from our past, great people, you just can’t beat vintage dirt bike events of any type.
Agreed 100%. Not many guys under 25 like myself Racing old Suzuki TMs either!
AWESOME! I wish that was closer to here.

Unadilla was better when it was an all natural terrain track without all the super cross features. Awesome that you ride there!!!
More video from events like this! This was so cool.
Vintage bikes rule!! Like vintage cars, each manufacturer had such distinct features/design cues. Make mine Bultaco!!
@TheVet4id I'll bet! I had a '75 RM 125 but still wished I'd bagged a Pursang.
Love seeing those guys in the vintage class running Marty Smith's old 3 digit number 522.He was my idol and I ran that on my 125 in the 70s lol
that track looks amazing!

Miss mine.

It should exist a WORLD MOTOCROSS VINTAGE CHAMPIONSHIP...it would be WAY more interesting than the boring circus- like nowadays regular championship

Your ahead on a Kawasaki. 🏁 Kawasaki lets the good time roll.
If you don’t crash once in a while you’re not going fast enough.
