KDX 175 was cool enduro bike and did well , after I stopped racing did race a mates KLX 250 4stroke and couldn't believe how well it handled but then again they were very underpowered, one I used had a modded engine but still not fast

These are all the bikes I grew up with in the 70’s and 80’s. I live in the states and as a kid I remember going to the races and most of the bikes were Spanish and British with a couple of the new yellow TM Suzuki’s in the 250 class. Within couple of years everything was Honda’s and Suzuki’s. An incredible time in dirt bike development from 1970- 1985! Nice to see some Maico’s from the 70’s. As well Maico, KTM and GasGas keeping two strokes alive. I’m restoring a 1973 Suzuki GT550 triple and a 1971 HS1B Yamaha 90cc Twin Jet. I wish FIM would bring back Speedway racing to the states! Great sport. Thanks for the video. Nice show !

That's awesome, reliving those biking memories from the 70s and 80s must be a blast! Your restoration projects sound like a labor of love. Let me know how it goes with the Suzuki GT550 and Yamaha 90cc Twin Jet. Cheers to the good old days of dirt biking! Thanks for the comment 👍

Hi, the bike was just in the back ground towards the end of the video, a video well done by the way so no criticism there, the british Rival was built in stourbridge in the 70s by an ex racer called Ken Sedgley, my dad knew him, a few midland schoolboys had them and did ok on them. Thanks for coming back to me .

Australia early 80s my family moved from the suburbs of Melbourne to live in the country ,my father who rode a motorcycle when he was younger thought it would be vital that my brothers and i all had dirtbikes so we all went to our Honda dealer and out off nowhere he surprised us with 3 brand new XR80 Honda mini bikes ,we were over the moon ,the salesman convinced my father he needed to relive hes youth and steered him toward a CR480 Honda ,fast forward two months and we are in the country and hes finally got hes loud monster Honda started with the help of my uncle ,28 seconds after he took off he launched it straight into the sky ,he dusted himself off ,pushed it into the hayshed and its been there to this day ,the plastics are near transparent and tyres are rotted off the rims the petrol tank has all dried up and the mice has eaten the seat ,he should off just got a xr80 and joined us instead he got caught up in the salesman speech of reliving hes youth ,sorry to bore everyone it was just a strange and sad experience

That's quite a memorable and bittersweet story from your family's move to the country. It seems like your father's attempt to relive his youth with the CR480 Honda took an unexpected turn. The XR80 mini bikes, on the other hand, must have provided you and your brothers with some exciting adventures. Life has a way of surprising us with unexpected twists. thanks for sharing 🏍️💨💨💨

@@thatbikersimon three city kids dumped in the country with no idea of how much isolation there would be was awful ,thank god those lil Hondas gave us a sense off freedom ,dad just wanted to be part off it with hes sons, but that bike looked good but not for him ,it had a lil kickstarter on the left side so he found it awkward to start and it kicked back once and hurt hes foot so he left it till my uncle visited and convinced him to get it out and going and then it happened
