Thanks to all MK's fans all around the world for sharing the same passion online for this top singer, songwriter and guitar player. More than 40 years of great music and lyrics. I was under the spell at the gig in St Julien en Genevois, in France - - > "Still can't say good bye" to MK and Band.
Saw Mark and this AMAZING band in Boston and Nashville on this tour. He has never disappointed since I first saw him (Dire Straits) on the Making Movies tour in Hartford, CT in 1980 (maybe ‘81). Was lucky enough to be staying at the same hotel in Nashville and saw him quite a bit there. Wasn’t an overtly friendly chap - but the rest of the band was easy to talk to. Hope this wasn’t his last tour - they must be grueling. Will buy and listen to his music forever and they’ll be playing Piper when my time comes.
Thanks Mark, you will always be in my heart and your music will be forever in my ears. I never wanted to see the final moment of your concerts, I'm heartbroken.
Well, apart from the saxophonist & trumpet player who look in their early 40's....and don't think that either John McCusker or Michael McGoldrick would be very impressed about being mistaken as OAPs
Came over from Glasgow for the concert and to see NYC. Mark at his very best, I grew up with his music fantastic and most memorable night which will live with me forever.
I am sitting here applauding my computer screen. What a talent! If you have not seen the movie "Local Hero",you must switch to it now.Forsythe and Knopfler,it doesn't get any better.
An amazing genius by all means..blessed to be living in his era..The innate sophistication in almost all of his songs resonates well with your mind's rhythms. Hope & wish for at least a couple of albums more from this talented legend.
Bonjour madame ou monsieur je suis satisfait de ce morceau que j'adore d'ailleurs je suis musicien bassite et j'aimerais bien jouer avec ce grand monsieur bravo le saxo vive la musique 🎶 😂😂😂❤❤❤
@@sterlingayu we all are. But on the flipside we have an almost infinite amount of music from him lingering around on the internet. But live? Not anymore. As he said: "there has to be no more traveling for grandad" I was at his show btw.
#1of 3) I first saw Dire Straits on MTV in the mid 1980’s and was blown away by their “Money for Nothin’”, and the cartoon video of the delivery guys watching the TVs in the appliance store, remarking how the musicians make all the money (& the girls), for doing no work whatsoever! So, about a decade later, I saw them in concert at the Philly Spectrum, which was totally satisfying on probably their last tour… My evaluation of Nopfler’s singing voice was a “rich man’s Bob Dylan!”, whom I and a few Rutgers U AXP frat bros. walked out on perhaps Greenwich Village’s famed Bitter End club in winter of ‘63, having just paid the entrance cover charge, and listening to one song, remarking “This guy can’t sing!” - a decision I’m sure we all have regretted for decades!
#2 of 3) …Then, a few years later I paid the premium price for the inside seat to see Bob Dylan & Paul Simon do a show at the Camden DE Riverfront venue, currently called the BB&T Pavilion - it was a great show as each lead singer was in top notch voice, while each did a solo act, followed by a team finale. Dylan sounded as he does on his albums, and Simon always delivers! No, I didn’t walk out on Bob, not even to go to the men’s room!!
Was this definitely his last ever tour? I know he is getting on, but his guitar playing is as good as ever. But these mammoth tours must take their toll. I have seen him, Dire Straits and Notting Hillbillies many times and never once has he let me down. Absolute legend.
#3 of 3)…The next time I saw both Bob Dylan & Mark Knopfler perform was at a tandem concert at the new CoreStates / First Union / Wachovia / Wells Fargo Ctr. with my oldest son, Matthew. (We had attended the venue’s inaugural private-test dry-run event featuring The Soul Survivors opening for Ray Charles, during the late 90’s-early 2000’s.) I’m thinking Mark, who was awesome, opened for Bob, who didn’t even resemble his former classic persona, so quite a disappointment!!
You need to get out and listen to some other guitarist. Seriously, this man's average at best. Go back over his video's and see if he's ever played a song the same way more than once. He can't .
We all know Mark Knopfler is a fantastic guitar player and superb songwriter, but let's be real--this isn't his finest moment, despite the loving fans and spirit of camaraderie. It's pretty ragged, and he seems to stumble over a few notes as if he's lost some dexterity. I've followed his solo career since "Golden Heart," with many great songs since he left Dire Straits to do things his own way. The last two or three albums in particular have been of decreasing inspiration and song quality, so that I can't see buying that inferior output from an artist who is capable of doing so much finer songs. When he goes out on the road, he tends to reprise the Dire Straits classics along with some of the newest songs while leaving out most of his best songs over the course of his solo career. I know he does this both for his pleasure and for the die-hard DS fans who can't live without another live version of "Money for Nothing" or other biggies. But it's long since worn thin, and too often his subtle, already frail voice is so shot he can't carry the tunes live. That's sad. Celebrate this, if you must, but don't claim this is worthy of MK's legacy. And judging from this video, it appears Mark has added more than a few pounds, so I sure hope he eats better and works on his health when he gets home. Believe me, I still love MK for all the great music he's created over the years.
The last version of MFN is much better than the classic MK/Sting/Clapton pompous show with a by far more sophisticated arrangement. This is true also for Once Upon a Time in the West and the other DS songs.
He's a genius. Not too many of such artists in the world these days
I travelled from Adelaide Australia to Seattle to see this show, worth every ounce of effort and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks Mark.

Au revoir Maestro Knopfler et à bientôt. Merci pour tout ce que vous nous avez apporté. On vous aime !!!! 👍👍❤️❤️
Brilliant artist & a gift to all of us!! God Bless him!!!!
My first Mark Knopfler concert. I have been a fan since Dire Straits, 1978. That album was the first thing I bought with my own earnings.
This man evokes my higher power in me when ever I listen to him or his music. There never has been a more humble decent person in my estimation!
Come to think of it, there is: The Dalai Lama. Maybe.
many people can make me cry....
not many can make me fight for the right to cry
When the Master picks up a Sunburst Les Paul, you listen!
D RolyPolyMan Amen!
What do you mean master!? This is actual god

maybe he is an introvert, ironic how many big musicians actually are, and off stage prefer to stay to themselves
My favourite film and film score. Mark Knopfler's version of Going Home is the most moving ever recorded, why-aye the man's a national treasure.
Last track from his last show on what may be his last tour. Hopefully not.
Goosebumps all over.
What makes you think it`s his last tour? I hope not mate.
@@thedutchfisherman7078 He literally said each night that it was his last tour ^^ He'll probably just perform in the UK from now on.
i love when someone from the audience yells out "thank you for all of it." No kidding....thank you for all of it.
I am sitting at home watching MK. Concert from Barcelona to MSG. Thanks a lot you tube
Thanks Mark, you will always be in my heart and your music will be forever in my ears.
I never wanted to see the final moment of your concerts, I'm heartbroken.
me too
Thank you for this - the final moments of his last tour..
There’s no final for a man like Mark
May he live forever! I Wish i could be in his concert just once in my life time.
Incredible performance. I'd guess the median age of the musicians on stage is around 65. Hey youngsters, pay attention and take notes. ;o)
Well, apart from the saxophonist & trumpet player who look in their early 40's....and don't think that either John McCusker or Michael McGoldrick would be very impressed about being mistaken as OAPs
I guess to!
I love your nice music😊You are the best guitar pleyer in the world😊👌👌👍👍👏👏
Got to see this tour at Red Rocks with my daughter back in Sept. Truly an awesome show.
Came over from Glasgow for the concert and to see NYC. Mark at his very best, I grew up with his music fantastic and most memorable night which will live with me forever.
Genius Knopfler!!
Living Legend 🙏
Merci pour cette vidéo, Mark Knopfler For Ever

Saw Mark in LA. Probably the best concert I have ever seen in over 50 years. Incredible talent...
Te has pasado 😋
went to the Toronto show. amazing experience. Will never forget it
merci pour ce partage ..... tellement émouvant en live. vu en Belgique juin 2019 les adieux
Idem pour moi ❤... Espérons qu'il revienne 💕
I remember hearing brothers in arms on top of Loveland pass Colorado 12000 ft elevation coming from a car stereo...heavenly *
Amazing audio and a magical performance. Thanks for all the videos that followed this tour.
Bonjour madame ou monsieur je suis satisfait de ce morceau que j'adore d'ailleurs je suis musicien bassite et j'aimerais bien jouer avec ce grand monsieur bravo le saxo vive la musique 🎶 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Fabulous as ever.....
What a great video! Thanks for posting. Seriously gave me chills.
lo hizo fabuloso, y esta tocando igual o mejor que cuando joven , saludos desde el PERU
There is harmony between the sax, the trump and the guitar . I can listen this song always and always.
was ther last night! Great show, even though I didn;t hear "Brothers In Arms"
If he’s got another future tour left in him, I’m gonna catch at least one of his show no matter how much it’d cost me.
he sadly announced this as the final tour
Redstone Bacon that just made me very sad 😔

I'm so glad I got to go to that concert. I really hope it's not his last.
OMG. Love Mark’s music so much. What a genius.
"Those young guys, they all play better than me now. But they let me play because I wrote those songs." (From an interview.)
Yes..just watched the video.....He's so true to himself, and so honest and humble. A pleasure to watch and listen to.
Thanks for posting. I was there in spirit.
Wonderful and amazing, hope it's not his farewell tour and we'll see him again. Thanks for sharing.
He announced to his European audiences that this would be his final tour. Unless he decides to play the occasional show, that might be his final show.
@@flbe6000 Oh, I hope not. I saw an interview where he said that he had considered retiring, but loves it so much he'll keep performing.
I saw mark in rome this summer. Simply the N.1. Love it forever
Saw the Berkeley show. Truly amazing. I hope he comes across the pond again.
Missed the show 😭 I'm from El Cerrito ( home of Creedence Clearwater Revival ) 👏
Genius for sure. Underrated in US
Yes ,is true.....the best guitar player.....

Often I think, how wonderful it would sound if there was a Sax in there, and here he is, great.
Thank you!!
Saw him on this tour in May in Glasgow...simply superb 😎
Me to, only downside was no big screens to show close ups of his guitar playing.
An absolutely GREAT show!

Still prefer when he plays a strat. It’s just so expressive somehow.

Prefer the sound from the strat.
Hooked at 5, 48 years of such great pleasure. Hears to another 48 and beyond
gracias por todos estos años maestro
The original 4 plus Alan, Guy and Chris need to do a massive world tour
Hej you young people...... look at these ”grand dads” and learn..... learn....learn..... this is what music is all about.
Who is the sax player
A Gift from God to the World is Mark Knopfler
looks like the sax microphone didn't work , would have been a great audio colabration
He's the best, no one ever has been better. Just simple truth.

Class act!

MK El millor!!!!
Howay the Lads
Howay the Lads, all the way from Portland, Oregon, USA!
goin' home... indeed :(
..I am sorry Mark and with all respect : your flame is slowly fading away I see lack of pith and energy... Some notes not fully produced
Sim MoB I agree , not a patch on nimes 1992 or Hammersmith odeon on the alchemy tour in 83
Well it's not soundboard audio either.
And how old are you, sir?
It’s sad that he’s let himself go, too much red wine. 70 doesn’t have to be old.
