Seeing Rekkles bringing such a good vibe to LR, along with seeing Rekkles play with (most of) the T1 Main roster made the Red Bull event such a great experience
Nice fake promo 2020 account u got there. Your esports are a joke. Imagine thinking u have real esports when u give nobody a chance and handpick same 5 guys 10 years in a row. Disgrace to passionate gamers
@@GamingDualities So true bro they really should have given you a chance instead of saying they "don't accept diamond ranks" and that you "should probably practice some more"
I'm going to be completely real: watching the LR streams, watching the scrims, watching the team cohesiveness come together in real time has not only given me a new appreciation for the game, but it's like, reignited my spark for competitive play. I haven't felt this way about a team since TSM. I genuinely want to support this team.
Yes this has 2013 energy. Selfmade orgs/teams. I remember that all the lcs pro players were streaming b4 all the franchising bullshit. Theoddone/ dyrus streams, Curse/Dignitas with Saintvicious and imaqtpie streams and more and more.
Same here. Started playing in 2011 and been a TSM fan since around when Dyrus replaced TheRainMan (2012?). Haven't played myself since 2014 and stopped following LoL esports around 2015. Since getting the Los Ratones announcement as a suggested video a couple weeks back I've been on a huge league trip again, watching every scrim VOD, tournament appearance etc. of LR
Same. I honestly didn't really care that much for the esports scene anymore. But everytime i watch games of NNO or now tis Redbull event it sparks my passion again.
After years of having the biggest league personalities being toxic soloq ragers (nothing again those guys btw, I love the entertainment xdd) I feel like the last few years since caedrel started co-streaming have felt like such a breath of fresh air from this community.
Just want to let rekky know that we love you in Korea and Korean fans will always cheer for you no matter where you are. I really hope you remember that there is place out of Europe that you can still call home and hope that our paths cross again in the future!
props to caedrel i still remember when rekkless kinda the "blacksheep" in EU, in his 2nd return to fnatic, the org welcome him back, but when he losing in fnatic everyone turn againts him, even though fnatic that time already on bad state anyway, then he got kicked from fnatic, he switch role to support, but no team want him, so he do tryouts in T1, and the only one who genuinely hype for rekkless that time for rekkless on T1, is both nemesis and caedrel, and by caedrel always co stream his games in CL LCK, rekkless probably happy and relieved that not everyone in EU is his enemies, true buddy true friends, and got each other back and props for nemesis for suggesting to caedrel how about we invite rekkless to LR as a support
I agree that it is great and they are probably very food friends and etc.. but lets not act like watching rekklws games was some going out of hid way to support him. Have you checked view counts ?
@@mahatmaniggandhi2898 yes but no one else on the team was either. Having 1-2 months to perform with a new team is a tough task and none of the players did. Still, who was the scape goat? And what results did that lead to after?
Imagine you're first professional game on stage in front of 20 thousand people with hundreds of thousands watching at home and you're playing against the best team in the world
Caedrel just can't stop winning with everything happening. Really love this outlook that the success of the team isn't tied to winning all the games. Less pressure for the boys is more fun for us viewers.
I was listening to this in the background like a podcast, but at 1:20:37, hearing Rekkles say that he trusts Caedral and the team genuinely nearly made me cry
That Faker talk was so good. Rekkles' way of putting it is so understandable. Like when everyone is so good, Faker brings in those clutch moments from his experience, which puts him above all.
Tbf, I think it can be very alluring and sensible to check in on chat for reaction/questions/drop in quips, not like he is a professional interviewer. (I assume you meant it in good fun, just something that occurred to me when seeing the gang talk together after the match).
I’m going to be honest, I didn’t know Rekkles that well. I only follow NA and I assumed he was a celebrity personality and I was worried for him to come in. However, he has been the most appreciative, humble, and understanding person I’ve seen in these interviews and I have definitely become a fan of not only him, but all of LR.
Its pretty cool to hear about Keria basically being the x factor of T1. It lowley reminds me of caedrel cooking drafts and playing support until rekkles got back.
Crazy, that Rekkles does not realize how popular he still is. So many fans are rooting for him. At least the 2 extra security guys should have shown him, that he is still a person of interest :D Take it one step further, we really want to see him back in the LEC. His level is still world class (AD and SUPP), in addition to finally know, why he has certain character trades made him grow a lot as well. At least, it seems like this from the outside. I personally am so happy that LR is a thing for next year and wish you all the sucess you can have - the team is there for it. Additional thanks to the Orga team, yesterday, I managed to snatch one of the shirts on a restock really quick :)
Very wholesome and informative. Yesterday was awesome. 2025 is gonna be sick, guys! Thanks to you both and the other rats to make all this happen. Rekkles’ T1 experiences are super insightful, it’s inspiring, really.

I got so much stuff to say but all I really want to say is that, we love you rekkles. Thank you so much for organising an interview with rekkles. Rat for the win! 💪
Loving hearing Rekkles being so vulnerable and sharing how tough it can on your mental health as a pro player. I've been a fan since he first joined Fnatic over 10 years ago and remember seeing so many times how much winning or losing meant to him. It was always difficult seeing how defeated he looked after a tough loss, especially in the many close games at worlds that ended in a loss, and hearing him explain how being a pro player forces you to give all of yourself to the job it makes even more sense to me now. It's not just "I lost a game and I'm sad" it's "I'm playing bad, I might get benched, everyone's going to criticise my play, my career could be over, I might have to move to another team, or if I stay is my team going to be completely different?" or just "what am I going to do for the next few months until the next season now this one is over?" - and now knowing he is autistic I can especially understand how those frequent moments of complete uncertainty could become overwhelming and cause anyone to become depressed and anxious. Glad to see he's learned a lot about himself and is working to find a balance between still loving the game and working hard but also having more to be connected to in life so the job isn't the centre of the universe. I hope more pro players are inspired to think this way, too many just go and go and go until they burn out and then disappear from the scene entirely.
Played my first game of League after watching Rekki play live in Paris on Sunday, lord I feel like the elo rubbed off on me love LR so much already cant wait to see you guys rematch T1 in worlds

With Faker the thing is also, EVERY player in soloqueue will do anything to take him out. So he is always being pressured. People cooking plays vs him. He just learned to thrive under pressure
It seems to me that there is a rot in the LEC. Really egotistical bullies appear to be heavily rooted into some of the big orgs. So gentle and quiet players like Rekkles and Nemesis end up being bullied. And when they inevitably fail under the weight of the harassment. Constant jabs from the bullies. They get scapegoated and everything is blamed on them. I'm glad that LR is giving these two players a shot at proving themselves again on the EU theater.
Great talk! Rekkles' insight on his time with T1 was really interesting. Glad Caedrel got him for LR and I'm also glad he got to play with the main T1 roster before he officially left T1. Such an awesome send-off for him. It's great that they won both games and Rekkles was able to shine. After the past few years he's had, I'm happy he got these wins this year.
I also see this in game discussion, sometimes as challenging for the players. At the end these dudes are challenger players, on the top of the leaderboard. Telling people where to stand during baron might help once or twice, but repeating that over and over and not focussing to a good team comb might hinder the "free spirit" of players.
I wonder if anyone questioned why he was the worlds sub- he was the best sub possible for 2 different positions, even aside the marketing value of eu sub for eu worlds
Having now 3 kids (the third actually was born 2 days before the announcement) basically drove me away from LEC and just league content generally but man, I can’t wait to see if you guys ever have any new content. Just keep this sentiment up 🙏🏼
Crazy how Rekkles went from this perceived image of being a "washed up player," to a world famous legend of the game who is showing he still peforms at the highest level Easily one of the most likable guys in esports
15:05 I feel this way was better for fan connection. You went through the “suffering stage” in Korea and came back as somewhat of a black horse. Fans can just remember the good times rather than say another bad year in EU.
Said it for a long time, but the stage experience in front of thousands of people is T1's biggest advantage in Worlds. You cannot compare domestic games in front of 300 people to playing in front of 8000, 15000, people. 80% of 300 people cheering for the opposing team, T1, is 240 people. That's not going to do a lot. 80% of 8000 people cheering for T1 is 6400 people. That's enough to shake the stadium enough to keep you shaking for the entire match. Faker's experience with such a large crowd, and more importantly, winning in front of such large crowds, keeps T1's nerves down and they can perform to their best. No other team has someone like that.
Seeing Rekkles bringing such a good vibe to LR, along with seeing Rekkles play with (most of) the T1 Main roster made the Red Bull event such a great experience
