John Mayer is one of those intelligent, articulate , honest, thoughtful people that I'm so glad exist. Restores my faith in the good guy. He knows himself and how to be true to that self. And then he gives all that (and his music too) to the world.
The first 6 minutes of this is wayyy too self-deprecating lol. But listening to him talk is so soothing. I'd listen to John Mayer reading bedtime stories to sleep

I was at the Sears Hometown store in Montana for what my x mother in law told me was managers training, for zero pay, losing money from not working my other jobs, that paid, and had to drive home to Wayne Michigan to do my laundry during the weekend break, while another owner wanted the air conditioner at 56 degrees in the back room of the Sears store the training took place in after the guy who ran the class said it was ok for me to control the ac after lunch, and my x mother in law bought me on short sleeved sweater, cardigan and it had wholes in it. So the teacher of the Sears owner training shamed me for wearing this sweater every day with a winter coat my second week in training by saying at least he had more than one sweater. And when I came home to do laundry, my husband was on a date with Jared Thompson watching Yes and Styx who were giving free concerts all weekend at Hartz plaza, I only saw them for 5 minutes before I left so they could smoke my weed.
He said "celebrity women want nothing to do with me".. that's not entirely true because lots of famous women wants to date him, like Lucy Hale and Kourtney Kardashian, but he's interested only in A-list stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Scarlett Johansson. He can't get over his past as the guy who dated the biggest stars in their fields. Or maybe he's only attracted to women who are at the TOP of their game. Jessica Simpson in her memoir said that he would break up with her then would come back when she was gaining success. He loved her only when she was "shinning".

He doesn't. He DOES have severe anxiety and as someone who also suffers from it, you can look REALLY hyper because of anxiety and not booze or drugs. Anxiety masks a lot of internal hell of panic and fear and lots of stuff.
