If I was a celebrity and ever got the chance to show you my looks I'm not gonna show you everyday regular things---as a celebrity you could find that in my paparazzi shots. It only makes sense to show pieces I'm actually excited about. Recently I feel like I'm living in a parallel universe where people claim to be thirsting for the mundane and "realistic". There is nothing "real" or authentic about being a celebrity it is derivative of being the most convoluted interesting vain job there is. And all of that supposed "authenticity" y'all love is likely manufactured and carefully packaged up into neat little sound bites and video bits by marketing managers and publicist interns. If you're gonna do the celebrity thing really DO the celebrity thing, the same goes for this 7 Days 7 Looks thing. The celebrities these days can't even compare to the performance, the drama, and the life that the celebrities of the 80's 90's, and the EARLY 2000's because everyone's worried about being relatable. Relatability is easy to find and its not what I'm looking for in ENTERTAINMENT. Buuuuut hey, that's just me.

I can get a piece of 40s suiting for a fraction of what I'd spend on old def leopard shirt that I wouldn't have worn in junior high...I LOVE a boxy A-line sixties mini. I think they are coming back, I've seen them online and being highlighted in vintage shops.

This is the most relatable 7 Days/7 Looks episode I've seen from a Gen Z'er. She wears vintage and mixes it with other high/low pieces well without it looking "too" costume-y. Vegan leather isn't always plastic tho. There are new materials coming up made from plants that make really good looking leather without the extremely toxic and polluting process neccesay to make actual animal leather (and without the cruelty ofc)

I just want to say, because I have read it quite a few times in the comments, that vegan leather is not made of plastic. Faux leather is, but vegan leather is actually made of fruits (I saw a documentary on it being made of mangoes, I don't actually know if they make it with other fruits as well). So yeah. Probably, some labels don't make a distinction between faux leather and vegan leather, but there is one.

I’ve had experiences with three different therapists from the app...yeah they were just very expensive agony aunts who love the sound of their own voice and didn’t listen. They would regularly forget everything I told them so most of the sessions was me repeating myself and making no progress, and they just always assumed wrong and couldn’t seem to understand my unique issues and worries. There’s just no professionalism. I decided enough was enough when one showed up with food round her face and gulped a coke for like 10 seconds and let out the fattest burp on the video call. I kind of want polished, quietly professional people in a clinical type office, I don’t find the “down to Earthness” reassuring in the counsellors.
