Even though I’m not into any of the looks (I’m a bland, Rosie Huntington-Whitely wannabe) I adored hearing her personal explanation of how her style works for her! She’s so inspiring and I can see why Luke is a stan!
Church shoes were an obsession for elegant men in Italy in the past. That is why Prada bought the brand I think. I like Paloma’s style. Non so much Chanel bi-color shoes with sporty jeans. Well done again Luke. You are a real fashion professor. 😜
@@silviaterracciano4513 lol I really disliked those flats (then again round toed flats are the epitome of ugly, boring shoes to me). But seeing her delight in choices I’d never make and then explain her process brings me joy, even for the fashion statements I’d never consider.

She knows what looks good on her and she showcases how fashion is connected with personality and identity, not just what mainstream media wants you to follow.
i honestly loved her bodega look the most. it's funky, it's comfortable, well balanced, so actually quite perfect in my book (even with the lack of pockets)
Given she’s a New Yorker, I couldn’t quite believe she name dropped Clark’s and never realised she was born in England😂😶 that brand has a reputation for grannies and primary school shopping- but I’ve always bought from them as they’re well made, half sizes and do basics well. Absolutely obsessed with her and all her fits. Being a fellow plus size girl, it's always amazing to see women dressing less conventionally. I love that she's not boxed in to a certain aesthetic that a lot of plus size models are. It's so refreshing and inspiring for my own fashion choices 🙌🏾😍
Clark’s is a very British brand, mostly associated with primary school shopping (everybody goes there to have their feet measured as a child!) and the older generation because of their association with comfort and being “well made/ affordable”- couldn’t believe that non-influencer name drop😂😭, but she explains its because her dad is Jamaican-British and she was born in London (which I didn’t realise before that mention!)... Don’t hate on them Luke aha
I'm American (and in my early 20s), but love their loafers and slip-ons. They are comfortable and last. They are my go-to for business shoes. I didn't know they are such a big deal in the UK.
I have been straight sized and plus sized and the number one thing you get in plus sized advice is "avoid baggy pants they make you look sloppy." Funny how they don't make you look sloppy when you're a smaller size, huh? I appreciate Paloma pushing back against that and going to the men's section if she has to. Those Carrhart work pants looked high end because of all the stitching and the stiff denim. They looked better than the D&G pants, imho. I would have guessed Edwin or something, but nope: men's section work pants. I'm so tired of brands that aren't size inclusive and vintage makes it ten times harder. But if you are willing to wear men's clothes and have them tailored you'd be golden. Her waist size is very common in menswear. Love her and loved this review.
I think Paloma is an APOC Store girl 👀 the small brands she mentioned (Karoline Vitta and Timo Sassen) can be found there. As well as some other really dope wearable art makers. I love it. I love how much color she used, this is where my wardrobe is headed and she is definitely an inspo
