There was a homeless guy that lived at the end of the metro link, he kept to himself in the bushes. He had a tiny light for night time and kept his area clean.
Interesting area for a homeless person to stay. Seems very flat and open. Not a lot of shelter from the elements and very visible to the very busy Van Buren Blvd.
I did too for the most part, off Country Club in the Homestead neighborhood 1984-1995.We didn't know about the acid pits until a few years later. I agree, decent video!
This is what we get for letting outsiders in our communities, it's bad enough to have our own freaks and weirdos living here. Although this was before my time. I encountered the night stalker back in the 70s, but luckily I had seen him during the daylight hours, but didn't realize it was him, until he was caught I believe in the early 80s. WOW, that's what I get as a teenager venturing into Los Angeles.
I think the night stalker was around 1985, but Jurupa Valley has an interesting past with crime. While looking into another true crime case from the early 80's , I came across the stories of April Lamont and Patrica Schneider who were abducted in 1982 in Mira Loma and Pedley. Schneider was never. Very sad. Thanks for watching. SC
The first Federak Suoerfund site, The Stringfellow Acid Pit, is over in Glen Avon along the 60 near the Pyrite exit. Mirea Loma was once part of Wineville the the location of a mass murder in the 40's, the bar on the corner of Ettiwanda and Holmes (just past Limonite) was once a market and gas station starting around the 19320's. This video was short and uninformative, a short drive down one block does not describe a new city and the history of the communitis that make it up.
Don't know when you lived there, but I did some research into a true crime case involving Sky Country. It's not an uplifting story, but if you are interested, you can read it here: www.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedMysteries/s/hkfG9r60UB April live where I believe is referred to as Sky Country. SC
@californiausa7321 I'm glad you recognize that it is a dirt town. I'm sorry you feel there is no need for improvement. I assure you there are funds from the county and state that can help provide some of the much needed infrastructure. Too bad the city is misappropriating funds and not working for the people of Jarupa Valley.
@@agustdan6599 Amen! It needed TLC even back in 1995, that's when the family and I moved to VA thanks to my dad's job! Sad to hear its still struggling after this much time and becoming a city.
Don't stop there there's no reason to there's nothing there might be dangerous unless you're getting a shrimp burrito from the carniceria on limonite. I'll fight some tweakers for one of those
They are building a little shopping center off of Pedley near the 60. Also, they have been rejuvenating much of Mission near the drive-in. I prefer the Casa Jimenez on I think it Rubidoux at the 60. Thanks for watching. SC

In addition to getting into the water table, we find it hard to believe that a lot of it hasn't flowed down the Santa Ana River.
I'm just here to get ideas for a horror story I'm planning to write that takes place in Southern California..... but just a bit post apocalyptic
Understand completely. Thanks for watching. SC
I grew in sky country. wish you would have shown that.

I totally forgot about Sky Country! I had a few friends that lived in that area during my childhood.
This area needs some TLC.

Love the historical content, the robot voice? No so much...
Thank you. We were trying some new things. Some of our videos have actual narration.
