In the Garage: Adjusting your RTT Telescopic ladder.

We have been getting a bunch of questions from other Geo Adventure Gear users and others who have RTT's with Telescopic ladders. This video explains how to use your ladder at less than full length.

Hello. Thinking about buying smittybilt overlander and I believe the included ladder is not tall enough for my truck rack. Did you have to modify the telescopic ladder to attach to the tent?

yep, mine is broken =( . where your first step locks at that 5 inch mark mine won't lock at all just keeps going untill it hits those rivets

Make sure you get it replaced!

these type of ladders are fckn dangerous if you do not pay attention to the locks being clicked in properly ..

They are not really dangerous as they do not have the sudden snapping capability of the T-slot ladder, and the fact they are attached to the tent does help. Worst thing in our case is they collapse and you have to reset.

ah, ok, got it. so they're built differently. was just thinking of the 'bargain' ones you're offered at the DIY :D
