so much information in such a short time and I understood everything, you're a genius. I will watch your whole Japan series, super informative, great job. many thanks
As I am not an English speaker I was afraid to not being able to understand but you explain it in such a good and with easy word that it makes it easy ! Such a nice discovery today ! :D Have a nice day ! :D
thanks for the video !!!~~~i barely understand the kojiki book because there is just a lot of difficult word and your videos helps me a lot! subscribed~
Just sayin, I was here because if Persona 4, and then realized why the story is inspired by the weather of fog. Thank you for tge information in your video! It was fun to learn from!! :)
Regarding Izanagi and Izamani deformed first children. The explanation that Izamani "spoke" first is based on the theory that she actually initiated sexual intercourse first -- which a woman just should not do (in that particular philosophy) .
You mentioned that the creation story sounds familiar... in particular when Izanagi was searching for his wife in the underworld. What story might that be? Thank you (I'm currently studying world religions in college)
hmmmm, yeah it is familiar since it sounds like two greek stories rolled into one half from Persephone who ate the pomegranates of the underworld and also the story or Orphious who was given a deal not to look behind him as his wife would return to the underworld if he does
When young my uncle moved to Japan and became a teacher he is from usa. I see why now he fell in love with the women and culture. This young woman is beautiful and her voice is more so. A very nice culture
Hey thank you so much for your video! Your video is so informative, but may I suggest you make the pictures stay a bit longer because I can't quite follow your lecture and look at the pictures at the same time... Don't wanna pause it all the time..thank you:)
I don't know if Im speaking to the women on this video or not, but I just wanted to state that you made this subject allot easier to understand for me and summed it up nicely. You kept me super interested the whole entire time. Oh and you have a beautiful aura.
gotta ask do you use three lights or the one photography light? i was lisetening to you and looked in your eyes i saw like 3 lights and found it really cool! sorry thought id ask before sounding stupid haha

Nice work, and beautiful pictures! The fire God's drawing looks like a Oni (鬼) of Otsu-e (大津絵) style. What is it called and where did you get it? About the Hiruko (蛭子) - We do not know for sure that it was literally a leach-like child. The parents just said the child was NOT GOOD/WELL. And it was much later around Muromachi period (室町時代) that people started to think the child had become Ebisu (恵比寿).
So how the fuck does Greek mythology and Japanese mythology have similar patterns? Weren't they a little bit far? 1. Either some travellers back then really went out of their way to share stories of divines, or 2. Gods actually did exist and people from different places around the earth recorded them from their prespective.
All myths comes from Norse and from norse who is the only real religon, but over millions of years every country and people have added their own twist to it and now it's all fucked up! But norse is the closest you could ever get to find out how the universe came into existence and who the real gods are. I am a great great great great greatgreat greatgreat greatgreat greatgreat great (and so on) grandson of Odin himself.
familliaritys are an old ancient greek story for one got bitten by a snake sent to the underworld so her husband travled to the underworld to beg hades to let her come back at which he said u cant look back on ur journy home
the baby of fire was Kagu-tsuchi. His mother Izanami died because in Japanese mythology the Kami (Spirits aka Gods by Western interpretation) are not invulnerable as Westerners believe gods to be. Kami have extended lifespans but can die
Golden Flame78 is not connected they somehow just use a creature like demon from japanese mythology only the deity they use but the story got nothing to do with history they use the deity i mean to make the story more interesting..like kaguya the rabbit demon and now in boruto nue the chimera and even izanagi and izanami in naruto..that is all the name in japanese mythology deity even kurama the fox demon shukaku the racoon demon and many more..
Yes her pronunciation is ideal, considering that Latin is really a scripted language rather than an oral one, so she is free to do this. Great and informative segment!!
Three deities.... OH! Din! Farore and Nayru!.... The Dark World? Ganondorf? OH! YOMI!!!! Well seems Zelda knows where to borrow its history & lore from.
Truly, all the words of the gods are the same but the words have been obfuscated by the ravages of travel and of time. When you hear all the stories from your cousins before the land was split into islands you can conflate the true story in your mind. When you can see the truth you can also see your enemies for who they are and who your ally are and where they will lead you; it will set you free and put you in bondage to set you free again. Every culture has a piece of a shattered tapestry, we pass it down to our children if they will take it. None of the pieces make a lot of sense. So we weave new tapestries that incorporate the pieces we received from our mothers and fathers and we complete the rest as best we can. But If we take the tales of our mothers and the legends of our fathers, and we combine our shards with all the shards of the world. We can see where the threads match up and where they were severed to make two threads. But as we have two eyes we must look at all the text in a earthly form and in a spiritual form, for those two stories walk side by side on the same words.
Is it just me or is the whole dipping the spear in while standing on the bridge & then having the islands drip off when it is withdrawn extremely sexual?
I am doing a presentation on my mythology Lit class and this video was so entertaining and refreshing to watch! Very helpful :D

+The Rare Tulip You should check out Orpheus and Eurydice (I have a video on them ua-cam.com/video/Ka7L4vUKMko/v-deo.html)

+Eduardo Seitz Thank you!
6:01 Tsukuyomi kind of look's like a girl in that painting.
what about reuk from Death note, doeshis name come from a lord of the under world

i watched this video cause of naruto series. it touches this subjects so i wanted clear understanding of this terms
Her voice reminds me of that kid who said "look at all thoooose chickens"
anyone have sources for the part of them coming out of a plant?!
No I know why in the narruto universe why they shining gun in Rinnegan sound so familiar
Her: of course that explains everything.
Me: laughing loudly at 0530 local and appreciating your sarcasm...
familliaritys are an old ancient greek story for one got bitten by a snake sent to the underworld so her husband travled to the underworld to beg hades to let her come back at which he said u cant look back on ur journy home
djstona yup.. Odysseus..
I’m I the only one that think was she mean by “ this sound familiar”
who is the fire baby?? of izanami why she died?
the baby of fire was Kagu-tsuchi. His mother Izanami died because in Japanese mythology the Kami (Spirits aka Gods by Western interpretation) are not invulnerable as Westerners believe gods to be. Kami have extended lifespans but can die
amaterasu is the sun... i want to know wich oare the two other ones
moon and seas
Susano'o and tsukuyomi
+R Kelly thanks😊
Thanks for the scp ideas
the mispronunciation of "deity" is driving me crazy.
Also of "Amaterasu"... that one's not that difficult.
She said it so many times
Resembling Sage of Six Paths old man?
Did anyone notice a naked women in the back? I think it's on a book, or picture of it.
+_ DC_Hokage _ Blue boobiiieesss
I subscribe
so naruto is somehow connected to japanese culture
No shit sherlock
Golden Flame78 is not connected they somehow just use a creature like demon from japanese mythology only the deity they use but the story got nothing to do with history they use the deity i mean to make the story more interesting..like kaguya the rabbit demon and now in boruto nue the chimera and even izanagi and izanami in naruto..that is all the name in japanese mythology deity even kurama the fox demon shukaku the racoon demon and many more..
I am Naruto Dattebayo!きゃ
Golden Flame78 no duh it's in Japanese and some animes (like Naruto) shows some aspects of actual Japan culture
This is satire and you're all rarted
*Uchihas has joined the chat*
Nice video. You keep pronouncing deities as "die-e-ties" when it's "day-e-ties", from the latin word deus meaning "god"
Alex Carr DEUS VULT
I prefer her "die-e-ties" stories all day.
Yes her pronunciation is ideal, considering that Latin is really a scripted language rather than an oral one, so she is free to do this. Great and informative segment!!
AmaTErasu!
Wow....
The deities man woman appear to be the story of Adam & Eve in Eden garden
Here because of anime Noragami 😱
It's pretty similar to the Maori creation story
The story about The man looking back is a greek mythology
Your story is also used in Greece myths
You are so pretty o-o
Three deities.... OH! Din! Farore and Nayru!.... The Dark World? Ganondorf? OH! YOMI!!!! Well seems Zelda knows where to borrow its history & lore from.

im here because of "Noragami"
whaaaaat? same!
Gold Benasas all the god (kami) stuff in the anime made me curious lol
You're lovely!
I'm guessing you watched spirited away
Is it just me or is the whole dipping the spear in while standing on the bridge & then having the islands drip off when it is withdrawn extremely sexual?
The story reminds me of Noragami
Kratos is coming for these guys next
Sooo Asian, speaks english too, kind, sweet, beautiful, loves history and religion....How is this woman not married yet? :)
❤️
why the fuck is Naruto doing on the next list?
It’s the power of the uchihas
Great video, but deity is pronounced 'day - eh - tee', not 'di - ah - tee'.
かわいい女の子!!
