Good luck with the restoration. I work at a British restoration specialist, mostly working with Jags, Austin-Healeys and Triumphs, but I've never had one of these in the shop, butI'd like to maybe own one one day, they're quite a bargain!
That car likely has a 440 chrysler with a 727 auto trans, about one of the toughest combo's you can get. It's easy to do a little tuning and have well over 300 Hp with a very smooth running engine. They do drink gas though!

The engine in this car & all the interceptor models is good old American Yankee H.P., Chrysler 383 & 440 big blocks!
