Your cousin was so nicely generous! Nice to have family you can like. Love to see when you go back to that one that was closing! Thanks for the adventure!
He is a great guy and was really nice to let me get all that, I offered to share but I guess since I took him out and found him cheap solid wood shelving that he wanted to pay it back.
Those penguins are cute. Glad you accomplished your mission successfully too. Thanks for letting me come along and see what is out there that is interesting too. Have a great day and stay warm.
I had to laugh...you reminded me of Jocelyn a little, when you guys found the good stuff. She gets all excited and overwhelmed. A very palpable moment for us all. I love how the community of resellers and viewers are so happy when one of us scores a great haul. I really enjoyed your time over on Danni's Monday live yesterday. Always interesting to hear the back story to ones journey. I use to go to garage sales with my mom as a child and I never realized how much I absorbed until a few years ago. Thanks so much for your willingness to share your time and knowledge with us George. It is such a pleasure.
You are a very interesting gentleman with a fantastic personality. That makes for a good match. I think you are so helpful to so many resellers. Enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing.
He sure did! You and another viewer recognized the signature right away, I'm farsighted and really couldn't read it on the spot (I need to bring my readers, hard to admit). Thank you for that!
George, between you and your cousin, you made out pretty well, especially after that last cart came out with Waterford, and German penguins. One never knows what you'll find!
This was a fun shopping trip! You saved me tons of money on travel when you said, “this is just what Bavaria looks like”. Saved me a trip. You crack me up!
Such an enjoyable video, George. Loved the trips through the different locations. And the banter with your cousin! Thank you for taking the time to film, edit and post this video!
Thanks for the variety, George. Nice to meet your cousin, too! The knowledge runs in the family, obviously. Those Bossen heads always bring back memories. My Air Force dad brought my mom back some from one of his TDY trips overseas in the 70s. That & the bull & matador from Spain.
Love the door bell on your cousin's apartment, its just like my great aunt Marie had,and I'm sure that the six of us ringing it to announce ourselves was a true highlight of a visit from our family!😂😄🤣
Enjoyed watching you on this video. Value the educational moments. Introduced to you by Danni, the Niche Lady. Had to hop over to Subscribe and select the Notification Bell. Thanks for such a groovy channel.
What a fun trip! On top of the world was an interesting development. Loved the penguins! I always enjoy shopping vicariously through you. Thanks so much!
@@TheAntiqueNomad You know, I've driven by there thousands of times growing up in Clearwater, but I've never been inside the development. So that was a first!
I loved this one, George. Nice to meet your cousin and hear a bit about your family. My personal favorite things: Bosson heads (I had some that I got in England, and I made some reproductions). I love Franciscan Apple ( American made only), and Waterford anything - especially love the seashell. I’d be interested in perchasing that one if you kept it.💚💚💚
Thank you! I had a lot of fun showing it. I do like Bossons, and USA Franciscan Apple is one of my all-time favorite patterns. E-mail me about the Waterford shell
I hadn't comment in a long while because since I am always a short of money, I never buy anything and I thought that I better let other people the real customers comment, but, I have been with you since the beginning and I do watch you on UA-cam all the time, feel a little bad not able to buy anything but one of this days I will, I promise anyway thanks for making me happy George the antique nomad, I love your videos!
Hi there! Please always feel that you can engage with me, I'm thrilled you've stuck with me! it's never been about making money to me, I just want to share the love of all this cool old stuff. A lot of people who are able to spend do, so that's been a nice side benefit, but your involvement and long-term support mean much more than cold cash. Thank you!
Living in the UK I can confirm all our castles are pink lol 😆 brilliant video love the doorbell ringing, it's something I do when people have annoying doorbells
Good evening, George! Those model cars were nice. One of them looked like a Duesenberg. There was a Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote glass there. I would've had to have bought that one. I loved the Tudor-style secretary desk. The price was a bit on the steep side, but for someone that wanted a really nice one, it would be a good find. Those penguins were a great find. You were there at just the right time for those. That Waterford shell was a fantastic find! That was a really good thrift shopping venture! That doesn't happen often. Thanks for taking us along!!!
I do like Wile E. Coyote! The secretary was the nicest piece of furniture I found all day. I was certainly lucky to walk up on the fresh cart of stock right then! Have you ever seen the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg museum? Those cars are so phenomenal (and huge) in person
@@TheAntiqueNomad I've never seen the Auburn/Cord/ Duesenberg museum, but I have seen a Duesie, and they are massive! I saw a Duesie clocked one time. It was one of the ginormous ones...an SJ, (or something like that), dual cowl Phaeton, I think...and the radar clocked that thing at 133 MPH...on the old spoke wheels, no less! It had a V-12 in it. I'd love to have one of them, but I'd have to live in it😆 Wouldn't be able to afford anything else!
This are the right places for hunters, and the prices are amazing cheap. If you hear on German fleamarkets the word :" Antique ,old or rare", the sellers want to weigh up their stuff in Gold.Greatings from your German fans 👍 🇺🇸 🇩🇪
Very nice find with all those penguins! Also a side note, I had the little dog figurine that was in the cart. Mine had a foil sticker that said the maker was Peacock and made in Japan. It was neat to see it in your video!
Wow, you are a veritable wealth of knowledge! I have the angel sconce that lies on the table to the left of the "Zsa Zsa Gabor" lamp I picked up at a barn sale for $4. I am into Victorian, but the lamp was a bit ostentatious and prices were very high.
Oh George, your so honest to pay someone more than asking. I loved those coffee tables. I don’t feel they are out of style. I love The Salvation Army. I always find something and their prices are great.
That was fun! A different shopping experience with you! When I see a ‘collection’ donated to a thrift store, I feel sad because I think someone must have passed away and family didn’t want the collection.

That Waterford was a great find! It was good that you noticed the shark boo boo before buying it. Unfortunately I have made this mistake too many times! Hoping I can get rid of some of them at the Lawrenceburg show.
My mom had a large collection of Bosson's that she bought when we lived in Germany. Unfortunately a 30' wall of water washed them out of her house during Katrina. They were still in the boxes so we figure either they are deep in the swamp or out in the ocean somewhere.
@@TheAntiqueNomad Yes, they rebuilt. They had built this house in Bay St. Louis MS as their retirement home and had only been in it for a month before Katrina hit. They lived in a 18' RV for over a year while trying to rebuild. It was a nightmare. Things can be replaced, the worst part was the loss of all the family photos. Their house was 19' off the ground, so no one thought a 30' wall of water would ever hit that location!
I inherited a few Couroc trays from my parents and came THIS close to tossing them. Glad I didn’t! One is an owl. They never used them so zero scratches. Now they sit in my house, still untouched and unused. Lol
