yeah, even for podcast or listening use id rather have it over my ipad pro 2018 speakers. the ipad speakers are good for games but for listening to people talk or music naah. i got this speaker a year ago also and i have to say the battery life is insane if im just listening to people talk on my ipad at 50% volume it can last 3 days before the battery light beeps red. and its a bit resistance to water and fall damage to a degree which means if it randomly starts raining i can just grab the ipad and run inside with that first while leaving the speaker outside. as for music audio its ok but not the best i think my sennhieser mini soundbar has way better sound but thats expected thats a 800 dollar soundbar with 5 speakers and this is a small speaker, so id say the JBLcharge 5 is the 2nd best audio speaker i have. if you have not been spoild by soundbars that are surround sound then this will be the best speaker you ever heard then.
I really want to know if the Hyperboom or Boombox 2 would be better for me, coming from you, someone that has both of them. I like portability, sound quality, volume, and bass. Jbl seems like the way to go, but I don’t want to make the mistake. I would use the speaker for indoors, outdoors, for walks, small parties, and camping. Again, I don’t want to mistakenly buy one and find out the other would be better for my needs. Thanks!
I haven’t test the BB2 but I know hyperboom is amazing just hands down. I would recommend to anyone. Great bass and clarity. Plus can’t go wrong with 360 sound

I have had my JBL CHARGE 5 for 4 to 5 months. I have issues charging it. Sometimes it takes way to long to charge. Sometimes it doesn't at all. Any suggestions ?
I love this speaker so much, but I really hate the implementation of the new rubber padding, I got thr Clip 4 and 4 of the rubber pieces came off because of my music, so I'm concerned about all of these speakers except the Flip 6 because it only has one and placed to the ground or a flat surface so it doesn't come out as easily, though I would say, super glue barely works
Tip don't unplug it out the charger cuz if u do it will like be alive for 1 hour dont leave it to much in the sun and dont plug it in the car charger if u have these problems buy a new battery cuz theres not many things what u can do about it.

Took me weeks to figure that out myself. For me it came down to the balance of what type of music your going to play,what environment you will use it in,how much of a fan of bass you are and how important is it to be ultra portable. I listen to all kinds of music so having more bass for me was better. I gave up more of the portable for that,as your not going to throw the charge 5 in your side pocket of cargo pants. I don’t own the flip 6 as of yet but I can say for the extra money on the charge 5 seems like a solid decision. If my environment only consisted of low volumes all the time I probably would’ve went with the flip 6.

I didn’t like that so much for not being OEM parts and lasting. Just got my charge 5 today…..I don’t think it’s worth more than $150 max. Still putting mine through tests of environments,distances of listening,styles of music and such. Here’s to hoping the boombox 3 has more to offer for the $500 tag as I will be getting that this coming Tuesday.

i love the jbl clip 4! but it has the same noodle rubber feet problem. 50% of the noodles are gooooone ;D bought a charger 5 today to use in my bedroom. wont move it much, so the feet should be alright. my clip 4 has seen alof of action, so i can live with the flimsy feet ;D great line of speakers!

Don't get refurbished. They were refurbished for a reason, probably blown out better just to get brand new, refurbished phone maybe if from reputable places but not speakers
Not a good sounding speaker. If you are even a slight audiophile, you can tell the sound is off. The mids are more over powering than the lows. I guess they did this to make it louder but it does not replicate sound accurately. I used the app and the eq to turn the mids all the way down and they still over power the lows. My bose mini link sounds much better and replicates the sounds more accurately. Might be okay for you if you dont have the ear for sound.

Try holding the power button for 20 seconds to reset the speaker.
