- As the coordinator of the Legal Aid Cell of her college Deepadnya Walanj has left no stone unturned in working for the neglected classes. In this talk, she addresses the much-neglected problems which lie at the core of access to legal services in India. An alumnus of the prestigious St.Xavier's College, Mumbai Ms.Deepadnya has headed various college committees during her graduation. Presently, a law student, she is known for her passion to excel in academics as well as the professional domain. She started interning within months of enrolling in law school.
Her concerns for the fragments of society deprived of access to legal services made her work for the Legal Aid Committee of her college. Her story of volunteering at the Juvenile Remand Home, Mumbai has been featured on 'Humans of law' . Today she holds the position of the Head Coordinator of the Legal Aid Cell, Government Law College, Mumbai. Her work as a United Nations V-Force Volunteer is a product of her will to work for the betterment of society. She has started an initiative called Applawed where she intends to publish articles and interviews of the fellow members of the legal fraternity explaining important court cases in an easy way.
