In this episode of In the Kitchen with Matt, I will show you how to make cinnamon rolls without yeast. This easy quick cinnamon rolls recipe is perfect for people who only have baking powder at home. They still come out amazing although they have a bit different texture than classic cinnamon rolls made with yeast. These rolls also don't have any eggs in them in case you are worried about that. They are super easy to make using a handful of everyday ingredients. If I can do it, you can do it. Let's get baking!

Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups of all-purpose/plain flour (270g)
2 tbsp white granulated sugar (25g)
1 tbsp of baking powder (14g)
1 tsp of salt (4g)
6 tbsp of unsalted butter, cubed (84)
3/4 cup whole milk (any milk will work) (180ml)
Filling:
1/3 cup packed brown sugar (65g)
1/3 cup white granulated sugar (65g)
2 tsp ground cinnamon (5g)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (55g)
1 tsp. vanilla extract (5ml)
Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar (confectioner's, icing) (120g)
3 tbsp. butter, melted (42g)
1 tbsp. milk (15ml)
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract (optional) (2ml)
Tools:
10 inch round cake pan: amzn.to/2X4UNw2 (13x9 will work fine)

Rolling pin
Whisk

Wooden spoon or silicone spoon

Preheat oven to 375 F. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown on top.

Definitely recommend this recipe, it's really easy to follow and the cinnamon buns are crispy yet soft on the inside. They have a slight buttery taste that I like. I didn't add the glaze as I didn't want sugar overload, so I just used the excess cinnamon mixture on the top.

This turned out fantastic! I didn’t have baking powder OR baking soda, but I used a few spoons of yogurt and it was nice. Also added some ground clove and nutmeg in the paste in the middle and it was good- added a Christmassy feel to it!

I tried this recipe today and it was incredible 😍 I only added two tbsp yoghurt and decreased the amount of milk, just balancing them. They were definitely soft and at the same time crispy thanks to cold butter, l think it was even better than the yeast version (for me), thank you 🌸

I didn’t have time to make cinnamon rollls with yeast, so I followed to ur recipe, and OH MY GOD was that the best decision ever. Your recipe taste EVEN BETTER than one with yeast. It tasted soooo goood, I used a micro conventional setting in my microwave and the results were great. As I am texting, cinnamon rolls are in the microwave and I am waiting for them to bake. 2nd time making ur recipe byeeee.

I added some vanilla to the dough, and they came out a lil denser than I thought, but fantastic all together.

I’m 13, and I loveeee to bake. I tried these out, and they came out amazing for my first time ever making homemade cinnamon rolls! I think next time I need to let it set in the fridge cause it was hard to roll it
