I love your plugin alliance videos Joe! I love the way you explain things and the vibe you pass! Kudos to you my friend, and I hope you demo every plugin from the Mix/Master subscription bundle :D
Thank you, Joe! I just demoed the V76 - this is some special mojo sauce in the low mids and bass... nice natural roundness and presence. Also, it instantly took away the pingy stringy sound on my grand piano highs, and brought it forward in the mix. This is definitely something real :)
Great plugin and Joe's run through was most welcomed. Definitely could hear that analog-esque 3D sound at the end with all NEOLD plugins engaged. As a PA sub-er I'm loving these additions!
Love your videos J everything I watch on you is really helpful and really straight to the point and I really loved your shoot out between all the SSL a emulations and neve emulations and focusrite stuffIn a previous video it was amazing and it was the way you laid it out that made it obvious and clear as to what you were talking about which was very refreshing in my opinion thank you Joe
Right there with you Joe. NEOLD are doing incredible work that has a flavor of it's own. Unique to the point that you can use these tools to create your own signature approach and it shines through. This is a very difficult thing to do though they have proven to create this bridge for symbiosis between the artist and the tools. Just when we thought we saw it all.
Thanks Joe, really insightful. Do you do any tutorials through online training providers? Because you're really good at explaining what you are doing and why. Thanks
Paul Allen thanks much Paul. I do have some more stuff coming your way with Plug-In Alliance. Also about a year ago I did 30 something episodes for Warm Audio called “in the mix”. If you use my name in a UA-cam search they should come up. There’s also a link to the playlist on my website. I appreciate you 👊🏼
Thanks for sharing. I am wanting to subscribe to the mix bundle just for this plugin mostly, however, i certainly can't go wrong with all the other emulations included. What fader strip is that you are using in your setup, are those console one's? How much outboard gear did you use on this track? Your mix sounds Great!
Real Music 4 you thanks man. it’s Pro Tools software. In that rough mix you are hearing there is no outboard hardware engaged. The mix that released (artist: MISY “one last ride) did have a several pieces of outboard inserted here and there. Thanks for watching!
For me, the ultimate compressor for punchy vocals is an 1176 style. In the PA family, this means the purple mc77. It’s reeeeally good too. Best of luck!
The NEOLD V76U73 is an emulation of the Telefunken V76 and U73, which are legendary pieces of audio history. The V76 preamp was designed with nearly unlimited funding from the German government and has enhanced countless songs from the 1950s until today. With the nickname "The German Fairchild," the U73 compressor/limiter used a variable mu design that made it incredibly popular with mastering engineers in Europe until 1980 when it was discontinued.

Great tutorial as always, Joe! Random question, but where did he get his glasses? Love the frames, haha.
Haha Visonworks! I was in there a few months back getting a new pair and they still sold those same frames and I believe the brand was maybe Costa.
@@InTheMixJoeCarrell, thank you!
This guy reminds me of Joel from The Last Of Us for some reason lol. Great video man
Lucky Sharma I have no idea who that is but if he is cool I’ll take it 😂👊🏼✌🏼
When are you all going to add API to your console and compressor emulations?
5 months later and they did
Lol! And it was worth the wait!

Thanks a lot.Is this good for vocals? I have it.Any good settings you would suggest for male vocals that needs more punch?

The V76U73 seems like a great vintage-style plugin with an unfortunate name. Thanks.
