  • C.S. Lewis's The Silver Chair is an excellent adventure story with many matters of keen interest to Lewis.
I read it in the light of the concerns expressed in The Abolition of Man, as a corrective to the deficiencies of public education.

I feel like all the Narnia books have something to do with everything going on in the world today. A lot of fantasy movies came out at that time but none stood out like the Narnia series. The silver chair deserves its own movie or adaptation. I’d also LOVE to see them bring the LAST BATTLE to life to bring us fans (who been there from 2005) a good final home going party man. C.S Lewis was way before his time but everything happens in the right time.

I'll have to re-read the series. When I read them, a chair was a chair. A sword was a sword. Symbolism was not something I grasped. Aslan = Jesus was blindingly obvious, but that was about it, I believe.
