Great video. Cobra is the best CB. Good choice. I got one from the 90's it was my dad's when I was a kid. He gave it to me and it still works perfect to this day. Stay safe.
Stay safe out there Nia! Tropical Storm headed to LA this weekend. Hopefully you’re already unloaded and on your way out of Cali before then. If not, please select routes that avoid any flood prone or mudslide areas. They are saying rain totals may be up there! Again, please stay safe out there!! PS: just have them install the cb for you at a truck stop. I would also think that if you want to be able to pick up signals that aren’t right near you, an antenna(s) may be required. The antenna will definitely increase your range.
Hey, Nia!! Cool Video!! Thanks For The Nice Tour of The I-80 Truckstop!! Awesome!! A Mechanic at your nearest terminal should be able to hook that CB Radio up for you the right way. And now a days, you don't really need an external Antenna, because the Antenna is already built into your Windshield, Etc. Happy Trails, Nia!!!!!♥☺♥
Hey girly pop! Not sure if you may have this figured out or someone else may have told you down the line here.. But from the looks of it you had it hooked up right. All you needed to do was locate the Red and Black Terminals they should be in the back where the radio goes , There you will find them they unscrew all you have to do wrap the wire ends around the terminals and screw I back down. Do Red the then black second. Hope this helps. Keep trucking girly pop and be safe out there Driver!
Keep up the great work! I can see the positive improvements you have been doing with the overall production of your videos. I enjoy your content!! Stay safe and I hope you are feeling better from your accident!!!
I have been to that truck stop more times then i can count on both hands. It's really nice. Haven't been since 2020 but hoping to again soon. Love your videos. The second truck stop looked like Little America truck stop.
Hola to you beautiful young lady I see that beautiful smile of your when you get back in town let me know I be watching your video be careful out there
I could honestly say I got inspired to begin looking into trucking because of your channel. I’m in my first week of school with swift, just passed my permit test today!
I commented before and told her she's an inspiration to many of us. Congratulations to you getting the permit. You are a step closer to the license. Keep going.
Stay with prime for at least six months and then move on to a company that will pay better. Nia was with Swift for six months or a year and moved to kllm where she's getting I believe .65 cpm. You will not get that with Swift.
Up where you found the CB Radio coaxial antenna cable there should already be a marked wired harness from factory to connect your power and ground for your CB Radio, some have a black and red hot post to connect CB power
That was awesome, I drove past it last week, I do line haul, Haha it is a 10 hour drive there and back to Chicago so I dont have to much wiggle room to stop by lol thanks 4 this
Hey, just to let ya know, you do need to get the cb antenna or antennas , tuned. you could do it yourself , or you could have a local cb shop do it for you. Or maybe another driver? if you don't hook up an antenna or get the SWRs down low enough, you could damage the radio ? Cb radios are old technology, but they're reliable, even if you don't have cell service. I love running a cb radio whenever possible. If you're ever in the SF Bay Area, or Las Vegas. Give me a shout , Im Night train 547
You need to get a CB antenna and a Freightliner Cascadia CB antenna holder that screws into left side mirror after screwing out one of the screws out. I wish I was there to help you with it. Hopefully you can ask any driver around you that can help. Good luck and it’s great to see you back on the road again.
Your best bet is to find you a cb shop and let them install your radio. Let them peak and tune your radio so it sounds the best it can. You still need antennas, mounts, coax cable. You radio will need to be tuned to your antennas.
One of the less known things to iowa 80 mega truck stop is you can go to a specific counter and request a movie to watch in there movie theater for free.
Nia you definitely need antennas for the CB for long range. 98% of the time dudes just be on there talking about bullshit but if there is bad weather of a wreck it comes in handy so you can know what lane to be in or you can tell others whats whats going on ahead
Hi Nia!! I’m trying to get my CDL soon!! Hopefully I get to meet Pom someday!! Quick questions…I see you have a lot of tattoos, which is your favorite, and why, also, piercings what’s your favorite?? Stay safe out there!!
GREAT TO SEE YOU.!!! 😆😆😆😆😆!!!!! AS YOU WAS TALKING I WAS ASKING YOU ABOUT WHY YOU DON'T HAVE A C.B.?? BUT, REMEMBER THAT THEY SAVE LIVES!!! WINTER IS COMING AROUND. ANYWAY, ALWAYS GOOD TO SEE YOU. BE WELL AND SAFE LOVE.
Hello Nia , I missed you a lot baby girl, that place was huge it's a big truck stop, becarful in California it's a hurricane headed to California Sunday or Monday, drive safe my dear love and peace out ✌️
Should check your 5th wheel and landing gear on your pre trips. Some idiots out there could lower your landing gear when your sleeping or pull your 5th wheel
@Nia if you like pancakes, try them at either the restaurant in the truck stop or go to Grammas kitchen across the street. Both places have same food. And the Bacon… if you like bacon, Grammas kitchen has the best bacon at a restaurant in the united states!
Any CB will be helpful and most every new truck comes with an antenna stock now a days and red goes to red black goes to black most just use electric tape or some wire nuts with electric tape google whatever words you don't understand also you can hook up a CB it is very easy in new trucks to do! But the Classic is a good radio for everyone really you can even get them Modified up and everything if you want to talk a few states over!!!
Hello Young Lady, I Sure Hope Your Doing Ok Since Your Little Incident! Have A Great Safe Day Out There! Really Been Missing You And Your Videos, Was Starting To Worry About You!

I’ve had my license for 20 years. Never have drove over the road. I think you’re awesome and keep on truckin.
If you fell asleep, don’t apologize…. it means you were tired and needed a break!! A rested driver is a safe driver!!
Been in that yellow truck so many time's my favorite truck stop. I'm from Iowa. Thanks for the video.
Your CB Radio purchase is the most important purchase that all drivers should make. Being informed of current road conditions can save your life
Great video. Cobra is the best CB. Good choice. I got one from the 90's it was my dad's when I was a kid. He gave it to me and it still works perfect to this day. Stay safe.

The red and black wire plugs in the back of the cb radio and u should have color cornated prongs to stick the wire in and thats how u get power

Good to see you back on the vlogs since your accident. Stay safe out there! 😎🚛
I saw a KLLM truck today in Williams Arizona and I thought of you. I looked but couldn't see in the truck. It is great to see you again.
Up where you found the CB Radio coaxial antenna cable there should already be a marked wired harness from factory to connect your power and ground for your CB Radio, some have a black and red hot post to connect CB power

Take it to a CB shop. They will tune it and check SWR for you and also install if needed.
Keep Up The Great Content
There are several CB shops across the Country, have one of them install your cb for you. The freightliners have internal antennas now
Good luck on Cb radio. Ask fellow truckers for help
Beautiful scenery 💯
if you talk to another trucker who has a cb ask them for help on setting up your cb radio and ask them questions about it
Never get mad when you fall asleep your body is telling you something
I wish I knew you was in Iowa. I'm only 15 minutes from that Truck Stop. I would have got you dinner.
