    If Facilitated Communication really worked, and judging by the lad's body language, he would be typing, "Leave me alone!"

    look at the boy turning away-he simply doesn't want to type. Bizarre that this was posted as evidence that FC works.

    Facilitated Communication or Supported Typing has a mountain of research showing consistently that utterances produced come from the facilitator, whether consciously or not, and not from the person with the disability.

    The first kid tries to type with his other hand, but the facilitator deletes it because it’s “wrong.” If the kid is genuinely able to type, why not encourage him to type independently?

    This is abusive. She is violating his bodily autonomy. Not to mention putting “words in his mouth”. That poor kid.

    Why not just bring out a Ouija Board? That would look 10×'s more legit than whatever this is.
