@@ramoncolonx12 When I lived I Mass. I had my yearly 7+ pound lobsted. The 10 pounder took almost a week to finish. We each jumbo lobster, I tried not to break up the biggest claw. I have a few intact claws at home
I ate lobster from the salad bar of the Rockville, Maryland Sizzler's over 30 years ago. It wasn't bad, but tasted like cauliflower with no flavor. And had the texture of cauliflower, not meat. A close relative told me lobster has little or no flavor.

Raina is so sweet and polite... even someone comes to fill her coke she still makes it a point to acknowledge them and thank them twice - I’m a new watcher and yet I’m obsessed to just watch her eat!!
If you cover the lobster with a napkin/towel then use the mallet the crab won’t go flying everywhere it will stay under the napkin/towel.

That lobster survived 90 years....it should of been thrown back....screw whoever caught and sold this legend lobster. Really sad.
It’s the circle of life it gave its life to nourish life but I am however really thrown that she wasted a lobster that old by not eating the body cavity the meat that’s in there ugh so fustrating at that point they should of maybe just put it back on the ocean if she was going to waste precious meat and I’m not being mean ... I just came from an island in Italy where we had to cherish every ounce of fish we got

I've shared a 12 pound lobster with friends in nova Scotia.
It was delicious and fun..definitely a once in a lifetime thing.
Weird that this restaurant specializes in shell fish but did not cut it at all.
There was alot of waste (meat and money)
But it looks like you had some fun Raina, and that's what life is all about.
Seeing so much go to waste was the hardest part because it's not just random fruit or vegetables. This was a living creature and I feel like when we kill something to eat it, we have a responsibility to make sure we make the most of it... so eating or using as much of it as possible. It's a pitty that no research was done prior on how to eat it (would only need a couple of youtube vids) or having the restaurant staff explain briefly what is edible. Sad to see it be killed and then parts thrown in the bin

Heck naw, stick the leg in your mouth, bite down repeatedly while pulling the leg out of your mouth. With some sucking too. Get all the juices and comes out perfectly

Trust me as an east coast Canadian when I say, a 90 year old lobster really doesn't taste that good.... 1.5-2.5 pounders is what you want. But great vid Raina!

I'd need 2 of em ... that's my avg for a lobster feed ... last time I went to an all you can eat lobster dinner (2 to 4 pound lobsters) ... I ate 26 of them ... I skip the tomally cuz it doesnt appeal to me ... not a fan of liver at the best of times ..

I am also from Maine and I know that lobster did not come from Maine. That lobster was likely from Canada, or possibly New Hampshire or Massachusetts. Maine does not allow harvesting lobsters that big. Those are put back in the water as breeders.

@@masyelraf I wish more importance was placed on sustainability when it comes to seafood fishing. We need to strike a balance between enjoying eating it and it thriving in the sea. If we don't, we aren't going to have any left to look at let alone eat.

2 to 4 pounds are the best eaters ... under 2 pounds they are canners over 4 pounds they are chalky ... a canner is what they use to fill tins of lobster with meat ...

I eat meat and seafood...but I couldn't look at something still alive, send it back to be cooked alive and then eat it. That's why I never pick out my own lobster from a tank. To each his own though.

Loved it when the guy smashed the lobster with the sledgehammer and lobster bits flew all over the room and didn't bother to wipe anything down. Also you would think a place that fancy would have forks. The way that sauce was spilling everywhere was almost comical. Finally who's in the kitchen washing sauce and lobster bits off all those sledgehammers?
I’m a meat eater..but not sure how I feel about sacrificing a 90 yo lobster…for what? They don’t taste great at that size…so the shock value is just dumb. Hope the views were worth it 🤦🏻♀️

They’ll do all that work in the kitchen for you, then lay all the meat out nicely on the split open shell, and even give you stuffing if you order a stuffed lobster.
Then all you need is a fork to grab meat and dunk in sauces!
Defeats the purpose work hard for a good meal

You can tell when people have never worked as a server or in the restaurant industry. Pouring all that’s buttery sauce all over table (even if it’s covered in wax paper) , I feel bad for whoever has to clean that up.

Or that whoever is trying to wrap the waxed paper up with all that oil on there is going to have a hard time? Me personally I got to restaurants with the same manners I would have in my own dining room. I don’t start pouring stuff every where because its not my house and I don’t have to clean it up.
Um I think the mess is expected and I would pride myself in getting that ish cleaned up as someone who has worked in the industry.

Arizona here, trifecta sauce outbeats any other sauce in cajun boil sauce history. Trifecta sauce can't be replicated either. Ita hard to make it at home. I've tried. I've bought it to go before to keep I my fridge for future dinners. It's worth it.
