- Hello and welcome back to Transport Fever 2!
Today we're going to be modernising some of our fleet, as the title of the episode would suggest, as well as making some quality of life improvements to help with the running of our trains. We're starting by changing over the Class 321 units on the Nantes - Rennes local service, into Class 350 Desiro units.
The higher acceleration of these units and larger capacity, means that this busy route might actually be able to cope with the demand from passengers! We're also going to be looking at adding some new trains onto our local routes around Nantes, and update some of the ageing Network South East liveries.

To prevent the Ai rebuilding the roundabout straight through road as at the end, make the roundabout road player owned, in the tools section of roads, the Ai can't build to a player owned road. Great wway to prevent the AI ruining any dual carriage ways or motoerways you build. Love the channel by the way. 👍
Nante and Le Croisic could probably use an extra platform. also a station roof (or whatever it's called, like what you used at Hull) at one of the stations could be nice
The timetables 1.3 has an auto unbunch function so you won’t have to change the unbunch time yourself anymore 🙂
You need to get another freight route in. I’d love to see some more variety of freight. Also maybe some more local routes in areas you’ve not worked on. Love the 350s. Can you use 456s or 450s next week?

hey joe with the timetable mod the unbunch time should match the frequency rate for the line trains are waiting longer then needed
Or use the mod that has auto unbunch as an alternative, works extremely well.
Which mod does auto unbunch?
Would love a class 444 and 458 as well as a more complete 455 mod with extra liveries, and a 313 would be great to

which mod do I get so that trains can use both platforms? Because I ususally can only choose one platform
No mod required! It's been a feature of the game for the last few years :)

28:39 get rid of that road in the middle of the roundabout, it doesn't help the traffic *EDIT* you did it few seconds later at 28:48, you need to do it to all of the roundabouts, not just this one, *EDIT 2* 29:33 lock your roads so that the game doesn't do that
A cool project for a few videos would be to rebuild the road network into actual motorways with grade separated intersections and bridges and tunnels rather than level crossing at major roads. Ideally also each town should have a ring road so that traffic doesn’t go directly into the middle of the town and clog everything.
Widening some roads so they could accommodate bus lanes would also mean your buses and trucks aren’t stuck in so much traffic, and you could get more people funnelled into your train network.
9:15 You have made the accelaration faster so they leave faster resulting in that the trains dont meet in the tunnel .
Stop using the Timetable mod it stops trains and the frequency doesn't go up.

Freight is absolutely needed! We might have to do that instead of buses next episode!
Remember when you used the TransMap Regional on Piddlemouth Coast. Can you put a TransMap Regional on Bretagne from Le Croisic to Brest via Nantes and Audierne and Rennes
I think that would take a lot of passengers off of our express services, so I think our high speed ones will be the major map connectors, supplemented by little local services :)
Plan 2: can you make a single track branch line unelectrified using 158s + 150s
To stop the traffic going through that roundabout you should make that into a bus lane
