Respect!
Great driving and onboard,he was an expert in controling that beast.Plasa, you were and will always be the best driver that ever ran on the hillclimb tracks.
HillClimb Fans videos are always the best. The production is wonderful. One gets the thrill of European hillclimbing. There is nothing like it and these videos are the best.
Those F1 Judd engines of the time sound like their coming from more than one car. As the vehicle approaches there is a kind of very high pitched air induction noise that, probably due to Doppler effect, sounds as if it an out of control unhinged machine revving up to some destructive hyper rpm. Then a throaty growl as it passes, followed by a wistful lament as it trumpets off into the distance.
If the Ferrari F2004 and Mclaren MP4/4 is going down as the greatest f1 cars of all time, then this Judd v8 134 must go down as the greatest hillclimb car of all time.
In the onboard footage directly facing towards him from the side, you can see that the steering wheel is loose, or maybe it's the angle, but something just doesn't look right when forces are applied.
This is a flatout racecar. Any resemblance to a Bimmer is purely coincidental. In North America they are called silhouette cars. The body only resembles a BMW. It could be dressed like a Mercedes, an Accura, Lexis, or even a Ford or Chevy. This is my favourite video of Plaza, his fabulous car and the most dangerous motorsport in the world. RIP Georg.
He took a standart bodywork from BMW as base and welded in a tubular frame. Sure there is not much left from the standart bodywork that you can see from outside (mainly the pillars). You could make a front nose that would look different, but you can´t call it a silhouette car where the chassis has no relations to the steel body from the factory.
Disagree, a cars shape is meticulously designed in windtunnels and materials in mind. Bmw m, similar to amg, definitely intended for their cars to become racecars. For instance theres no way m4, rs5, c63s arnt designed with the fact that theyre going to be DTM silhouette cars in mind
@@ZbladeVX I agree that this is not a DTM type car, 1800 lbs vs 2100 Lbs isnt fair lol. The M4 DTM has 630 Hp at 2100 lbs with a 2.0 turbo. Judd Power's 4.0 V8s that rev to 11k and produce roughly 700 bhp only weigh 255 pounds. How can any DTM silhouette type car come close in engine/transmission let alone suspension , downforce, or SWAG? Plasa and Reto's cars are by far the baddest Touring cars ever produced. Reto is actually using Georg's Hewland gearbox from the wrecked Judd 134.
I am of Braga and was in Falperra, this year we had great cars, but this BMW is absolutely fantastic. Always wanted to see Georg PLASA live and when he passed he crawled up the engine roar. Fantastic video
RIP Georg legend ❤, his E36 has inspired me to build my own E36 GTR and soon to be finished in 2024 . The fancy chock behind the rear wheels at the start is overkill though it needs to be an old bit of wood with history 😂
It's almost like two different cars. From the front it sounds like the old Zakspeed DTM cars as driven by Steve Soper, but from behind it sounds like a Formula 1 car, in the days before they sounded like sewing machines.
@Hillclimbfans Wouldn't count on that, if Plasa and Bruno meet again on those roads then I'm pretty confident in saying that Bruno will come out on top.
@TranceMatzl15 It's not there to look good, it's there because of down force. Car has about 800kg and 550hp, it needs down force to stay on the road. Cheers!

gmax876 Judd V8 Guy in Wisconsin drives a Gerhard Berger Benetton with a V10 Judd conversion on a regular basis at Road America Lake Elkhart Wisconsin Absolute awesome sound
@popace Bruno Ianniello is a very good driver, a legend - the Lancia Delta S4 a Monster too - BUT the BMW 134 Judd V8 a 2011 racecar with all the goodies you can build. Be serious, please! Smoke a pipe and feel happy.
I only lived less than 3 chilometers away from one of the most popular cronoscalate in Abruzzo Italy called Le Svolte di Popoli for 15 years , still think I have never been a spectator? Rear drive wins higher horsepower classes every time that expert drivers are at the controls .4WD is for the less able drivers who rely on technology to avoid losing control on pavement . In rally races the opposite is true. Now stop writing me back it is pointless for me to continue with you ARRIVEDERCI.
Meh the biggest problem of this car is RWD. It's very hard to control this car on such tight roads. For optimum results, AWD is absolutely a necessity here. No wonder Bruno Ianiello smoked him.
9:25 his steering wheel looked sketchy as hell! WTF?! like it wobbles on its axle. it looks like he's steering with a marshmallow. edit: yep! something is wrong with his steering wheel. look at 15:16 when he gets out of the car he put his hand on it to help him to get out and it moves A LOT. not normal at all.
Dieser Sound und deine perfekte Fahrweise wird für immer in unseren Herzen ❤ sein und bleiben! Wir werden uns irgendwann wieder sehen!

I believe that the only original BMW part of the car is the front windshield, the rest is just pure madness with BMW skin on top.
the only original BMW part was the door handles and the tail lights 😉
the windshield was Makrolon because they are much lighter.
