This Eldorado was on the cover of Collectible Automobile magazine back in November 1985. The owner back then was a Dr. Gerard DePersio in Santa Barbara, California. It appears in a feature article on the rear-drive Eldorados made from 1953 to 1966. There is a sidebar within the article spotlighting this supercharged car (shown with stock wheel covers, something had apparently gone wrong with the original knock-offs) and it mentions Mr. Alexander as the original owner. As normally built by the factory the '53 Eldo cost $7,750 and just 532 were built. President Dwight Eisenhower rode in one on the day of his first inauguration. You were very fortunate to track this one down (and to drive it)! BTW, you've got a very interesting channel and I've just subscribed, so I'm looking forward to seeing more! Thanks, Dennis!
Can you believe the gentleman told him in that old go ahead and step into it put her down you imagine doing tree work on his property probably one of the nicest guys in the world

I had a 1953 Caddy coupe, same color, no power anything. Wish I could have it again.
I'm surprised Elvis didn't buy something like this.....he could afford it....he loved Caddilac's
love to see a matchup between the Caddy and a Mexican road race Lincoln.
