Bluetti PS54 Solar Generator with Case

Most people searching Bluetti would not come across the PS series. These originally were not sold within the Bluetti website; though today Bluetti has the PS72 if using the search feature. Basically you would have to know this series in order to know it exists. Bluetti usually resells a discontinued item under a different model number until the stock is depleted. So at around $200, the PS54 is a bargain for a 700W 537Wh solar generator. An EB55 in disguise.
Bluetti Power markets their product under names of Bluetti USA, Bluetti Global which is the same company, so OK to purchase from these companies. It is a way for them to track their markets. Bluetti also is tied to MaxOak and PowerOak. On MaxOak, you can purchase refurbished Bluetti.
During the last 6 months since I have had this, I only had to charge up the battery once; and it was at 40%. So float charging, cell phone charge, and occasional usage with the dc tire inflator, battery drain is minimal so storage drain will also be minimal.
When you first receive the unit, some people suggest that you charge to 100%, run it down, charge to 100% again. This process will learn and calibrate the battery to computer. You may have to do this several times to work best.

Had mine for 1/2 year. Works great for charging cell phones and such. Power went out and it ran my big Sony TV for quite awhile. Can’t beat the price.

Awesome video, thanks, I am reconsidering this over the ac50b that just came out because of the dual dc charging and the price! Also, weird compliment, but your voice reminds me of Christopher Walken at times! 😊

PS72 with case at Bluetti off of Walmart for 217 is a steal. Only issue is cannot dual charge.

@@rossishima that’s still amazing! Although I am still confused to this day, is the eb70 and its other variants a 1000 or 700 w inverter? I keep seeing conflicting information and it seems like some of the eb70 models actually had a 1000w inverter not just one that surged/power lifted. My whole thing with the eb55/ps54 is that dual charge, specifically being dc, it makes me consider it over the river 2 pro despite the lack of app and smaller inverter…

@@SolarPunk80 EB70 was originally listed at 800w but in reality turned out to be slightly lower. The 1000w applies to countries that have 220-240v. US is 100-120v.

Even though It’s still confusing 😂😂 But I have moved to Italy and the fact that there actually was a difference in the marketing that reflected an actual difference makes a bit more sense, thanks Ross! I hope you score that deal and that it works out! I’m assuming that even though these PS versions aren’t refurbished that Bluetti doesn’t offer their 5 year warranty for them, but if I found out they did I would be very tempted to pull the trigger on the ps54, I love the idea of being able to use power banks with adapters in situations when solar would be inconvenient or impossible that’s why I was so bummed to see that the Ac50b ditched that possibility 😅

You still get full warranty. It is sold by bluetti as a link on the Walmart site.

Basically the same unit, just different case. Same electronics and battery. Go with the best price though the PS54 is a newer version so may have fresher batteries.
