I really couldn't see how this box could work for me but you got to the top of the rollercoaster when you started sampling and a whole world of possibilities opened up right there.❤
THANK GOD that they didn’t slap a $1000 price tag on it. Scratches the itch for a portable/battery powered sampler with a speaker. And it’s a beautiful piece of hardware 😊
I can't unsee the 1980's desk calculator, but maybe that's a great thing. I was mad at TE for awhile because of their price points. Now I'm reeeeeellled back in. Great design at an affordable price. Thank you so much for this great demo. I love your speed and flow.
These videos are dope man, was a little lost when I unboxed this thing since I’m used to Maschine and MPC style boxes. After getting this far I was able to make a pattern and navigate around a bit. It’s not so daunting anymore, so thanks bro.
Nick has the best against the clock episode of all time. It totally inspired me to make music in a different way with a truly hybrid studio setup and raw impulsive creativity.
What up Nick! Doubt you remember this but you taught me how to use the original OP-1 IRL about 10 years ago at the MoMa store in Soho. Learned everything I needed to know in about 20min. I bought one that same day and never looked back. I've used it on every album i've released since then. I've been hitting a brick wall trying to learn the KO2 but this video has unlocked the key for me-you've done it again bro! Thank you. I hope TE is cutting you checks regularly, lol
@thespacepit thanks for the video. Just would like to know, if your created this wicked sound that’s with 3 pads can you sample that. As in resample. Can you adjust the sample rate and can you record input whilst play backing a pad? 😊
Awesome work, Nick Hook. Share your other equipment, show your workflow - keep the videos coming, if it’s your interest and you have the time and energy.
I heard the dogs on the background and I was like that sounds like my house hehe. Dude I have a studio with fun instruments in a cozy cabin in Santa Helena. You are welcome anytime. Cheers@@thespacepit
Dude. The dog. I couldn’t make it all the way through. A dog should only bark when alerting. Hopefully it’s your neighbor’s, and if it is you should say something. A video about sound and music is kinda ruined by an untrained yappy dog.
Appreciate the run through although the incessant tapping of buttons during each part of the explanation makes it difficult to really see what you're doing.

This is the best “making a beat from scratch” demo I’ve seen so far. And you kept it fun and interesting. Great work.

it’s for the people !!!
No way in fuck they'd be able to when a mpc one plus is like 600 bucks, infinitely better
AMAZING!! Well tought mann !! Thank you!! please do more videos with the KO-II, Cant wait to see what you can cook with this ;) Cheerssss

Great video. I don’t understand how to record this thing through interface into my computer stereo though
what kinda of cable are you using from the output to your interface ?
@@thespacepit a 1/16in with a 1/4in adapter into the interface input. Interface inputs being mono..
Great video, but why did you start with "that" noise? Almost left to go to another video!
hahahah. “that “ noise gives me life. one day i hope it does for you too. thanks for watching 🛸🛸🛸

Can you step sequence with an external midi keyboard?

Awesome work, Nick Hook. Share your other equipment, show your workflow - keep the videos coming, if it’s your interest and you have the time and energy.
appreciate that. i had a lot of fun and i think we might just do that 👽👽
You have to sample that dog in the background, totally completes the vibe.
we in colombia u know the deal
Do this unit come with the respective cords or do u have to buy them? And which ones to u suggest if i want to hook into a synth?
Can’t wait to get mine! Great run through. I like your approach to this and how you just go for it.
ur gonna love it. thanks for checking it out
Can you play your 'scenes' in sequence or do you have to scroll through 'scenes' manually live to form a song?
you can type them in if you wanna skip across
@@thespacepit kind of shocked you can't just press play and have your scenes play through, seems like the most obvious thing in the world
WE IN SAMPLE MODE
u know what im sayin
si@@thespacepit
can the parameters like pitch, volume or envelope settings be applied to individual samples? or they affect the whole group?
