It was a pleasure to meet Ben and Mary at the Chiang Mai Marathon and to find out that they're just as lovely in real life as they seem in their videos. I didn't know about the WR attempt at the time, and for some reason, it didn't even strike me as odd that Ben was wearing a lifeguard t-shirt!😅

Well done and Merry Christmas! Funnily enough, earlier this year, six ladies in my running club got the female world record for the fastest half-marathon in a six-person costume (they dressed as a caterpillar).

Lifeguards are often extremely fit, and compete in triathlons, iron mans, marathons etc... I'm surprised none of them just go and compete in their uniform
Let's not forget that some of these WR are set by amateurs who did a run for charity supporting a cause such as lifeguards association Or something. They most likely never attempted to set or break a WR. Ot is just coincidence
