Tom I love seeing you drive the new tractors that you have on demo and I mostly love about your UA-cam channel when you do silage and espessily slurry on my dad's farm I always try help with the slurry because it smells so good
You probably need a weight to hang on the front links. When [not if] you get one, don't go overboard. About 500kgs will be more than adequate hanging way out on the links. Easy to drop off when its not needed, which will be most of the time. You will probably only need the ballast for using the fertiliser spreader and a few other heavy implements on the back end, seeing as your farm is almost dead flat.

That is a sweet looking workhorse! I so hope it works out as youre both hoping and gains a permanent home with you in the near future! I like it already due to the short body of it. Wish we had one instead of our 1947 H Farmall! It was a bit too long, clunky and stiff, but its what we had and made due. Nice to have it coming into all the tasks involved this time of year. It should have a great chance to show itself either as a so-so, hum drum, “well it runs” piece of equipment or an absolute beast that tears through the work with hardly any effort. the other bonus to front mower other then it cuts your mowing time in half you don't have to run over the crop when u start a field and front mower by itself you can get into tight fields with hair turns

I would go up in power. Yes a great all round tractor but ye are starting to do a lot of bigger work (pulling tanker, when silage comes around pulling trailers) always nice to have that extra bit of power!

WARNING! I used to make my tea/ coffee with hot water straight from the tank and it made me very ill. And the problem was traced back to the hot water tank in the dairy. So now always boil the kettle now. Love the videos!

Almost went for the same tractor as you Tom, but in the end went for a Deere 5125R fully loaded on 600 tyres with loader. Farm here in Donegal Ireland is VERY wet and steep. Good luck with your CASE.

I own a 1969 Case backhoe, 1994 Case 1194, 1954 JD track loader and 1949 JD bull dozer...great tractors that will never die as long as I maintain them. I’ll buy a new tractor when they stop making them in China and bring quality production home! (Do you know the difference between FAT chance and NO chance? ..yeah, well I’m not going to hold my breath)

There's something about this tractor that just espouses 'right tool'. I had the same feeling when I bought my Sony PXW-FS7 camera and it proved to be the right tool not only for me and many, many others and a huge success for Sony. Sony said the same thing that Ross said, 'we've sold more than we expected to' (or words to that effect). Some things are just right.
That's a nice tractor, hopefully you get to keep it, but you definitely need that lean too to cover all these new equipment from the elements. Good luck. 👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸
I had a 300 Optum for a couple of days on demo a few year ago. Getting used to the CVX transmission on a silage clamp was completely different being used to a JD6215R- especially rolling the edges. Very good lights, quite a nice very comfy machine. The mirrors were quite good because it had two different types. 'Normal' and the smaller wide angle which covered the bottom of the rear wheels nicely. If it is like the Optum- then it will be a nice machine. Unfortunately I didn't get to do draft work to see what grunt she had.
Tom please do me a massive favor and get a fire extinguisher in that tractor Our new holland which is a cnh set on fire at the beginning of the month It was 15 months old with only 1900 hours on It went up with no warning signs A fire extinguisher wouldn’t have helped ours as it went up so quick but still safety is so important and I’m so glad I’m alive and unhurt

hi. tom I recomend you to go with the 650 tiers. From my expririanse on norwegian heavy and steed clay ground they are the way to go:) they are absolutley awesome and especially good for wet gorund if you remember to adjust the air preasure to what you are doing. greetings from Norway:)

A bit of advice when it come to Adblue look at buying 210lt drum and pump as it'll work out cheaper than buying 10ltr drums all the time

If you were to go for one Tom u should get one with a loader but with the front links and pto aswell
This could be the perfect tractor for you. You don’t need the front linkage but it’s a great option to have 👍 you and Ginge deserve it.
Frontlinkage with pto and take an front mower. He can mow twice as fast as he does now👍
