Gukesh is nowhere near the level of Chess understanding of Magnus. Gukesh is simply a disciplined calculator that minimizes risks and strives to make no error but he falls apart quickly if not in a classical format chess where time is plentiful. Has Magnus has said, The current Fide format does not determine the best chessplayer. Giving plenty of time only leads to boring chess game were players focuses on no error and seek draws. The only fresh air player in Fide this year was Firouzja whose demolition of Gukesh in the 1st game was as beautiful as it was spectacular.
