Awesome video.. I just did my 2001 Trans-am convertible this last weekend .. used all the same parts from the video ..with the exception of my stereo is pioneer avh-2550nex and the back speakers were not in stock so I bought the vsp65 instead.... Sounds amazing thanks so much for the videos
Great video, I have a 2002 convertible camaro and was glad i came across this video. I'm also installing the same amp as well. Would be nice if they made a harness that would plug into the factory harness so you don't have to tap into the wires. Keep up the great work.
new subscriber, & i have a question please... ive got a 98 firebird hard top & im scratchin my head as to "Where" & "How" to Mount my amp? im a new-bie so im wide open to suggestions & advice... thanx
Hello in the firebird radio install you installed the wiring harness with all the speakers wired. Now we are running RCA to amp and not using the old amplifiers speaker inputs. Does this mean if we have amp we should NOT wire the speakers at the radio harness?
Hi. I currently have an E90 bmw. At present I have a four channel amp and a mono block. The four channel is running a three way component set. Basically a midrange and a tweeter pair with a crossover separating the tweeter from the midrange that is going into channel 1 and 2 on the 4 channel. The midbass is going into 3 and 4. I have the stinger 9 wire running from the factory headunit location to the amp. The only wires I am using from there are the front left and right coupled with the remote turn on.. The headunit itself is a pioneer that has front, rear and sub rca channels. The underseat subs have the speaker wire directly running to the amp as I wasn’t sure if the factory rear speaker wires carried a full range signal? I am considering going fully active. Would I need to run individual wires from the speaker location in order to do that or can I still use the 9 wire solution? How about the setup itself? I would need I 5 channel amp coupled with a processor for the front stage? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Did you have to put the plug back in the factory monsoon amplifier after connecting the speaker wires to the aftermarket amp? I am in the middle of this whole process, also did you keep the rear 4" speaker's
@@ProvoBeastAudio I got it figured out I have a coupe not a convertible mine has 6 speakers instead of 4 like the convertible but thanks for the response I watch every video they helped out 👍
im adding a mono sub amp, but im running the factory monsoon amp ...its a great little amp, the rest of the system is junk because its acdelco garbage, but the amps from some japanese company, so the fact thats its NOT made by the bean counters at gm means its the Best piece of the whole system... ive use the factory amp in several f bodies now & the Main thing u need to do is match the Ohms... theres several good write ups on the ls1tech forums, as well as a guy, who ive done alot of buisness with (no disrespect to the guys makin this video) ian kee (kee audio website with great info & how to) who has probably forgotten more about these cars than most of us will ever know... hope i didnt step on this companies toes, but ian is a Wealth of knowledge with these cars ...or just research the ls1tech forums...either way... good luck with ur system
Parts used linked in the description of the video!

Can you do this with the factory am/fm/cd stero? I am new to this and concerned about hooking up rca cords to the stereo
Did you use a remote from the monsoon connection??

Nice wish you would have played it for a second.
What did you do with the tweeters??
from the inside of the car back into the turnk how do you run the power wire? do you just go under and behind the rear
seats?
I haven't ran mine yet but I would say either that or through the b pillar and over the tank kinda hugging the outside of the car
What can I do to be able to use the original amplifier?

I'm curious how long it took you to do this installation -- start to finish.
It shouldn't take long at all. I guess he has been too busy to respond. I will be installing this amp in my 2002 as soon as everything comes in.
Can I pay you to do this for me lol
