So Hawkeye is now basically the most OP character in this universe. Not only trained to be a killer but guys got a symbiote. Hawkeye is now the greatest.

I was just watching the Shadowland episode where Sal goes on an amazing ten minute rant about hating all tie ins. And the whole time I was thinking "but what about the Secret War and Convergence tie ins?". And the universe answers. Or at least Comic Pop did. Man I love this channel.
You should do more Secret Wars tie-ins on Back Issues! Everyone seems to be familiar with the event since you did wall-to-wall Secret Wars coverage a few years back, and every tie-in is just a What If? or Elseworlds story. What I'm saying is, there's very little context needed, and a lot of the tie-ins are really good. Also, Annihilation is needed. I know that wasn't related. I just need a Back Issues on Annihilation in my life.
I've asked Sal on Twitter a couple times and he has said they plan on doing Annihilation, but it's hard bc it's so long. He also intimated he got annoyed with guys like you and I always bringing it up lol. But yes I too desperately want Annihilation on Back Issues!
Another awesome episode! After the first Civil War, World War Hulk and Secret Invasion, I got tired of and pretty much gave up on most tie-ins. But this is why I love this show. Not only does it make me laugh and have a blast watching, you always introduce me to great stories that I skipped over or passed on. Thank you guys so much for that! I appreciate all the hard work you guys put into this channel!
I loved everything about Secret Wars, the lead up, the main story, the tie ins, the utter insanity of the final battles. Just for how fun it was I liked the Spider island warzone book.
Loved this tie in to secret wars! Would love to see more of the tie ins to it on here! Convergence was god awful but would love to see some of its tie ins on here as well. Great episode as always
What video was is that opens with Sal going on a 5 minute tirade about how how much he hates tie-ins? Seeing someone that passionate about comics was pretty awesome!
still buying and collecting the entirety of the secret wars tie ins. so many are good. and even the ones that aren't, like x-men 92, still give me that nice nostalgia glow.
My hot take: I don't consider the "tie-ins" during the 2015 Secret Wars event as true tie-ins. Of course, I didn't consider the titles in Age of Apocalypse 20 years earlier as tie-ins either, so at least I'm claiming some level of consistency!
Loved this story, the idea that super hero events affect the real world was awesome There was another Secret Wars tie-in called Avengers 2099 which was basically Civil War 2 about two years before Civil War 2,but way more satisfying
My personal favourite Secret Wars tie-in was called Ghost Racers. It's a bunch of different Ghost Riders competing in a Mad Max/Death Race arena event. Lots of fun.
I like how they low key made a secret invasion secret wars tie in. I though it was weird that all the other event books got their own tie in but secret invasion was left out. Only to find out they actually did make it!
Hey...um... wouldn't Wolverine eventually heal from the gamma radiation? Or did he lose the healing factor because of the overwhelming amount of radiation? And even if he didn't, wouldn't he be in excruciating pain all the time because his skeleton is no longer organic, therefore not increasing in density to match his gamma enhanced muscles?
America is split into two.... literally. Cap gets the west "Blue" & Ironman the east "Iron" & yet no one claims Florida...! Duh duh duhn.. Cause really screw Florida.
Tevya Smolka Ik right. We didn’t get any real closure to the Ultimate Universe and we didn’t get to see Ultimate Peter even though he came back to life a year before. Spider-Men II was really confusing too with the Ultimate universe.
@@ultimatewall-crawler5292 indeed it was such a really bad miniseries to end the ultimate marvel universe that and i hate to say it but it made ultimatum somehow even readable which i can't believe i am saying that because ultimatum was really awful but ultimate end was somehow even worse.

Saga volume 4 please. It’s a better book than like the last 10 you’ve reviewed lol, and no that’s not talking about the quality of the episode, just the book. The episodes are always amazing, even when the book sucks. I know you’ve said no more saga due to numbers, but they do just as well or better than the many terrible crossovers you’ve covered lol.
Personally find this story kinda dumb. Why would Cap made no laws, I would see loser laws, being from the 40’s and all, but still he believes in the country. Why would he allow the punisher gang to be a thing, as far as I remember he doesn’t like Frank, so why would he be ok with people that have less training. And Why is acting so crazy, He is the usually the level headed one. I would get it if he was the one suspicious about the skulls, but he wasn’t instigating at all. Still I like that the skulls are more involved in he war then in the original series. Also it would’ve been funny if the bellcurve only worked on Sandman. Because Super powers work differently there shouldn’t be a single miracle cure turn off every super power.
Cap making Peter the new Falcon sounds like a callback to the time he creepily made Rick Jones the new Bucky.
Comparing Bucky, Rcik Jones and Peter Parker, Cap clearly has a type that he prefers for his companions. It’s like Kitty Pryde’s Peter fetish
The one character that remains the same in any dimension, reality, or crossover is the Punisher. What happens when a one dimensional character jumps dimensions?
Sal liking a tie-in? It must be good!
It is!
Sal liking a tie-in? He must be a Skrull!
@@Metal-ge5hr that is a hilarious comment (no sarcasm btw). It is very rare that he likes a tie in, and I especially don’t read them.
he liked Spider-man Ultimatum, but then again anything could be better than Ultimatum
So Hawkeye is now basically the most OP character in this universe. Not only trained to be a killer but guys got a symbiote. Hawkeye is now the greatest.
Hawkeye's always been the greatest

S Hearl I don't blame him for getting annoyed lol
Its nice to know I'm not the only person who thought Miriam Sharpe should have been a Skrull during the orginal Civil War.
Whenever I see the art used in the background, I can't help but see All Might beating the crap out of Iron Man.
I really agree with this episode's title lol. Leinil Francis Yu is one of my top favorites ever, so glad the story is pretty darn good.
So this comic is responsible for the creation of Hulkverine in 616...

A alternate/divergent timeline Civil War and Secret Invasion? Cool.

Sal: And then St. Louis is annihilated

War, war never changes. Oh crap, are those Skrulls?
Wait so St Louis finally shows up in the Marvel Universe and it blows up?

This comic makes me think of what's currently going on in Seattle with the chop zone. Guess we can see how that played out.
2:21 Skrull Sal CONFIRMED!!!!
After this, you should do the "What if" in which the annhiliation wave reached earth during Civil War
I like the "what if" "Civil War" comic.
Hey so what happened to original t’challa? If he wasn’t in the room originally and it was a skrull the he would still be alive
