Hey Nick, moved to fpv from photo drones, been flying a mob6 hd. Betting I had 15 hrs on her before moving her internationals to a mob 7 frame. Have crux3 on the way as well. Am a retired aircraft mechanic and I’ve got the itch to build something, but not feeling confident enough to just start ordering parts! Is/are build “kits” available? If so, any recommendations? Thanks for spending the time on these videos, they’ve been invaluable.
There are a few kits, in the micro quad arena they are far more limited to my knowledge. The kits that come to mind aren't sold in the US. We have to go to Banggood or AliExpress. The two kits I am thinking of are the UZ85, and the UZ80. Both are "plug in play" meaning we don't have to solder. There are other kits that have been released a while back that do have soldering, the tyro79 is one I can think of in the moment.

Yes, and kind a no. Will the parts fit on this frame yes. But its no longer a prop protect quad, and the 1mm motor shafts of the mobula 6 will likely bend or break on crashing.
Brilliant style on these I want to do a small 2s version for this elrs system, I can't find these mini toothpick style frames anywhere where I am I'm easy but a larvax style uz80 style is what Id like , I have two whoops I want to convert, a 1s 65mm and a 2s 75mm. I use bangood usually for some things, but it's a bit of a wait isn't it.
It's cool but I get so tired of 3-4 minute flights. If I can get closer to 10 minutes then I get excited. Things are moving in that direction it seems with technology getting better and components improving. I'm thinking about getting rid of all my stuff that can't get at least 6 minutes and that's alot of fun drones and alot of money, but it is what it is.
Keep in mind when comparing flight time flight style plays a huge role. If we are flying with less camera angle, taking fewer 180 degree turns and fewer punchouts, greatly increase flight time. I don't think this combination on the battery I was flying will get 10mins, but likely closer to 6mins if we are avoiding many of the items listed to some degree, with two batteries we would get 12mins.
How long does the gnb27 connector last when compared to something like the bt2.0 or ph2.0 connectors? I recently made a post in r/tinywhoop just to see how often people need to replace their ph2.0s to see if there is a longer lasting option out there.
I haven't found a need to switch out the GNB 27 or the BT2.0 connector yet. As imnobs commented, ph2.0 tends to break down, we haven't see the same with GNB27 or BT2.0

Hey Nick awesome flying as usual. So these Flight Control AIO boards have the FC, receiver, and VTX in one board? VTX too?
Yeah, I have the exactly same FC on my StarLoad frame (except I use it for 2s) and it's got FC, ESC, SPI Frsky receiver, and VTX that supports 25mw-200mw.
@@lazyturtlez Pretty awesome! I'm still kinda new. I was under the impression that a VTX was always either piggybacked to a camera or as a separate unit. Cool. does these come with FLYsky protocal receiver built in as well?
There is a flysky protocol version, but its not as popular and often not carried in US store. The banggood link in the video description for the crazybeex should have a flysky version.
Hey Nick, as for us that don't own 3d printer or have access to, I find gnarlyfpv Sub Atomic motor guards works on 3 motor mounts, works on 4 motor mounts too using only 2 screws.
As always awesome review.
Ah good info. Thank you
Nick! get a bicycle inner tube and cut your own hundreds of indestructible rubber bands!
It’s seem to have good enough zip for 1s. Don’t think you need 2s, might fly heavier May have to build one. I can make many 1s batteries. Lol. Btw , I can solder these lil buggers in my sleep now 😵💫
Did you see the TKS Rocket Race on 2s? Here ua-cam.com/video/ah8SahLPS2Y/v-deo.html
Nice review man!
5:00 min - GOTG - Guardians of the Galaxy 🌌
"I am groot" 🌳
4:10 min - but how much fun EXACTLY ? ^^ :D
9:35 min - remove all 4 motor Plugs - on the board and the motors and you save around 1 g of weight - but most likely it's not worth the time - because the TP will end op in a tree sooner or later :P 😂
@@NickBurnsFPV thanks Nick. That’s kinda what I figured. Will give it a bit more time, feeling just knowledgeable to be dangerous at this point ( just to my wallet).
@@curlymaplebandit3107 lol, this hobby is dangerous to our wallets :)
dear, perhaps you can help me. I have this crazybee, but the video signal is very bad... an idea ?
good video
try change the antennena and the goggles antenna also
@@iamnobs1462 googles work perfectly with 5 other drones. I had try to change the antenna nothing better (Cu antenna for a new cu antenna)
from an other board. Thanks for help
Sometimes the antenna length can be off. I believe we need the exposed portion of the vtx antenna to be 12.9mm.
@@NickBurnsFPV mine is 15mm long, and not large
Do il need to cut it ?
could i use this to replace mobula 6 frame
Yes, and kind a no. Will the parts fit on this frame yes. But its no longer a prop protect quad, and the 1mm motor shafts of the mobula 6 will likely bend or break on crashing.
@@NickBurnsFPV 1,5 mm needed (1mm ducted - Eachine Trashcan broke 5 times.. Switched to 1.5 mm no problems anymore)
HOT TIP: keep your rubber bands in the fridge, they'll last MUCH longer without perishing.
unless you also often have blackened thin onion rings in the fridge too
@@nerdlands6595 LOL true
🤠👍
Brilliant style on these I want to do a small 2s version for this elrs system, I can't find these mini toothpick style frames anywhere where I am I'm easy but a larvax style uz80 style is what Id like , I have two whoops I want to convert, a 1s 65mm and a 2s 75mm. I use bangood usually for some things, but it's a bit of a wait isn't it.
The wait is hard. Maybe these will become more popular and someone will start carrying them to a distributor you have easier access to
Work, work, work. Somebody has to do it!
Rubber bands. 1 bicycle tube give you hundreds.
Wonder how the 2" compares to the 3" babytooth
just saw in a past video you prefer the smaller.
Guardians of the Galaxy
Yes, I so couldn't come up with at in the moment. I left as its more fun to have it than record again to clean it up :)
@@NickBurnsFPV Been there :)
Those rubber bands!!! ;) ..
Yes.. show us the 2s!
Curious how those bands compare to the ones on fpvcycle. I have a bag of those ones and they are decent
Not sure. I looked to get some of those, but ...."sold out".
@@NickBurnsFPV indeed. Appreciate the recommendations I'll have to pick some up
Use bicycle tubes ^^
Cannot destroy them ^^
3€ here in Germany 🇩🇪 for a tube and you can cut like 9⃣ 0⃣ 0⃣ 0⃣ out of it 😂
How long does the gnb27 connector last when compared to something like the bt2.0 or ph2.0 connectors?
I recently made a post in r/tinywhoop just to see how often people need to replace their ph2.0s to see if there is a longer lasting option out there.
the problem is in ph2.0 if you have the rolled pins the dont last long
I haven't found a need to switch out the GNB 27 or the BT2.0 connector yet. As imnobs commented, ph2.0 tends to break down, we haven't see the same with GNB27 or BT2.0
Link to the poll ?
Get XT30 for a TP - KababFPV said it So do it 😂
Also it's cheaper (XT30) - BT2.0 is expensive and you can't buy GNB27 ??!
Let's see 2s !!
I should have flights I can put that together.
Why the gnb27 connector and not a bt2.0 or a xt30?
I have more batteries with GNB27 than bt2.0 or xt30. We can certainly use those as they are both better than ph2.0
@@NickBurnsFPV ok that makes sense and thanks for the clarification
@@bay3287 no problem.
