    I bought a Ryobi snow blade for my Cub Cadet and it fits just fine. Have had it for one winter and I made a few improvements to it like I put round pads on each end to keep it above the pavement and also put a rubber squeeze on the bottom of the blade to keep it from catching on cracks.

    Very nice. I got a Ryobi push mower that is so lightweight it doesn't need to be self-propelled. I can push it with my pinky finger. The neighbors are already questioning about it. The cost of the batteries is definitely high initially.

    Ugh if I had 4000 dollar laying around I would soooo buy one of these. My lawn mower is on it's last legs and probably won't work next summer and this would be an amazing upgrade. I like everything about this electric mower.

    Neat machine not having to mess with gas and oil changes etc is a real plus. I wonder how long the the batteries will last. What will happen if you get a foot of snow ? We cant push snow across the road here in Maine. It's illegal. you have to push it ( or snow blow it ) on your side of the road. Best wishes

      our neighbors are cool....we don't care about silly things like where snow goes....if I piled 30 feet of snow on their tree lawn they wouldn't care....it melts hahaha....we have huge tree lawns here....hundreds of feet long all the way around.....plus I do their driveway for them too....and all the sidewalk on both cul de sacs....I can do 5 big driveways on one charge in about an hour....all fueled by our solar panels....we love this thing and will be doing another update on it again soon

    Looks like it worker pretty good! I bet if the plow had a rubber edge riveted on the bottom of it like the sidewall tire rubber with nylon in it the plow would be more forgiving of the uneven ground plus it would probably be less noisy and slide better, next invention Lol great video!

    Another idea would be a nylon glide on each end of the plow blade. Similar to those on a snowblower. They should be adjustable so you can raise and lower them as they wear. This adjustment would allow you to adjust the plow so the steel part of the blade never touches the driveway surface but instead glides 1/8” to 1/4” above the driveway surface. Much quieter riding on the glides and no damage to blade or driveway. If the glides have raised / angled leading edges they should glide right over cracks and expansion joints.

    Just ordered this mower but had not considered the plow. You gave me an idea.
    I live in rural Minnesota and have a lot of trouble with gophers making hills in my acreage . Usually have to stop mowing and rake these flat before I mow that area.
    Could I have this plow on in the summer to knock over the gopher hills so dirt doesn't dull the blades?
    Not digging holes, just smoothing piles of dirt out that would perhaps fill a 5 gallon bucket.
    What do you think???

    Put a plastic tube on the bottom of that plow and it will glide over the cracks. You will probably need chains if it is a bit more snow or ice. Cool video anyway!

      we have had no issues....other than the initial battery issue that we have done videos on that you can find in out playlist in the description....you definitely have to pay attention to what you are doing like with any sort if big machine like this one and the slippery ice and snow....it took a few times to master it but we love plowing with it and this is going into our third winter and are very happy we got the plow!

    • @jackanddan
      @jackanddan  4 роки тому +1

      Yes we plowed 4 times last year and most was slushy awfulness but one time it was pretty deep powder and ice on the bottom....it had no problem....between me and the weight of the mower we had only a couple tiny instances of slipping....we are going to be reinforcing the handle and also putting some sort of rubber/pvc/nylon or something on the blade for the excruciating screech too this year and those videos will be coming up soon....have a great day and good luck!
