OMG I would love this. My husband passed away two months ago and had to learn to ride the mower, I hate having to start it and put gas in it. I did buy myself a battery powered weed eater and leaf blower because the gas one was a pain to start. Now with him gone I can't afford this. I miss him so much.
Sorry to hear that....they have a lot of deals going and we mention how we used rebates and returns to pay for ours....we love it and did a one year update on it yesterday....have a great day!
Thank you for sharing. I just got mine delivered off the truck as a gift from my brother who owns a solar company. I thought I was getting a craftsman so I was kinda bummed when I saw it was a Ryobi. Your video has given me a lot of hope. Jack is awesome. I hope my daughter is willing to help that much someday.
Lisa Stikes....she will with that awesome new mower....we just gave our old mower to a veteran who lives in our community because he wants to fix it up and use it and we will be doing an update on our mower soon....we love it....thanks for stopping by....👍
308328928....yeah we live it and have been using it all summer....we will be doing an update soon for Fall and how it is performing with the leaves because we get A LOT....👍
i like watching videos on new mowers because i mow the lawn at my parents house and some other ones and i use a riding mower from the 80s that my dad just keeps fixing
@@jackanddan Thank you guys for this review and the others for the Ryobi electric riding mower. They should help me get my wife on board with the purchase (hopefully!). We have three young girls and are making a conscious effort to avoid fossil fuel consumption moving forward.
I don't comment much online .. but I do enjoy electric mower videos, I have the EGO self propelled mower with 7.5Ah and the string trimmer with the 2.5Ah and rapid charger .. I just wanted to say that your place looks awesome .. I mean, I see the little extras of work you've done, mulch and the rock decor .. to get those edges perfect .. I mean that, I can see that you are a perfectionist gardener "and I say this as a major compliment" because I know how much work goes into a lawn like that .. and the sidewalk, what a cool location .. getting a curved corner walk on that corner .. excellent .. be safe, be well .. Cheers
Thanks so much for stopping by....It's a very nice comment....We spent about 4 years after moving in getting this yard up to par because it sat on the market for a few years and got outta control....took down 5 small tress....5 bog trees....lots of bushes and cut beds and laid bricks and lots more....we do updates in our yard and solar system and other conservation stuff on Mondays....Wednesday we do wellness stuff....And Fridays are always out aquariums....we love this mower and have a 1 year review coming up Monday, but we really love how it plows snow and if you haven't seen that video check our channel for that one....this thing is awesome....We....have a sweet feeding/live music video in our big aquarium tomorrow morning....thanks again for the nice comment and have a great evening!!!!
Great video. I bought the 75 Ah version w/bagger during a Home Depot "Special Buy of the Day" flash sale late last December. I had been thinking about buying one for months and, like you, couldn't decide if I wanted to spend that much money on a mower, but when that sale popped up, I bit. After using it for nearly a year, I love it! I only have a 1/3 acre lawn so it barely puts a dent in the charge to do the whole yard. It cuts very well and vacuums the leaves up very well in the Fall too. Highly recommended.
Awesome John....We actually just changed the blades and put the bags on because our leaves are starting to come down here in Cleveland....we will be posting a video about how easy that was to do and then a video shortly after about how this awesome mower handles the piles of leaves our beautiful oak trees bless us with every year hahahaha....
We got a free gas riding mower when we bought our 4 acre place. 2 acres of grass. Already it wont start and the seat fell off so instead of fixing it were going with this electric mower.. We already have an electric car. Just need solar panels now. Thanks for doing this review it was helpful.
Glad you found it helpful....we love this mower and will be doing both leaf and plow videos when the weather starts turning soon here in Cleveland....👍
Thanks that's very nice....Me and Jack's mother have shared parenting....since he was 1....he deals with it and with her very well hahahaha....I try to do the best I can....we love sharing all these things to help other people out....we have a pretty cool update on one of our big tanks tomorrow....have a great day!
Nice video, when I get a chance I try to tell people about the ( KAVLI BLADES ) you will not need a bag because it leaves the finest mulch less stress on your mower which gives you more mowing time.
Sounds cool....never heard of em....can't wait to see it....we have done several updates on this mower with the bags and leaves and etc.....and we just put the plow on it for winter and will be posting that video soon....
That lawn mower looks super awesome. I would run right out and buy one if it weren't for the fact I have a pretty small yard. However, like you, I can take pride in the fact that I converted 100% to electric power equipment. I do have a Toro and EGO cordless lawn mower, EGO blower and string trimmer, and even an electric car (Nissan Leaf). I also have all cordless power tools. Also we must be practically neighbors :-). I retired from the NASA Glenn Research Center in January (2020) just before Coronavirus hit (Lucky me) with 38 years. I have a good friend who has a pet turtle so I sent him one of your videos. Keep up the great work making great videos.
Thanks so much William....it's always nice to hear about other people who have made changes....when we went solar many people in our community thought it was weird and crazy, but now there are 8 other houses and businesses around us that are solar too....it's getting better and hopefully will continue to....thanks so much for watching and we hope you have a great weekend!
bill callahan ....awesome....we have done several updates on this mower since and they are all on our yard stuff playlist and in fact we have a short one uploading this morning too....because we just took off the plow and did the first cut for Spring and man it was long
What do you do when leaves fall onto your mulched sections of the garden? Do you rake them up along with some of the mulch then just buy more mulch the next spring? Is it a yearly cost to have mulch? I want to section off areas of my yard to have nicely mulched beds, but I just know when the leaves come I'll have a hard time knowing what to do.
Yeah it stinks......we've actually let a lot of our ground cover fill in and just trim it and edge it to keep it neat and stopped mulching because it's too much of a headache due to so many leaves.....it took a couple years but it looks pretty good now.....it does make for more edging and trimming but we have a nice battery system with WORX and have done a lot of videos on that as well and we'd rather spend a little more time with that then deal with the mulch anymore....
Thanks for stopping by....We love it....We've done quite a few updates on it and actually have a 1 year review coming up Monday....also a sweet feeding/live music video in our big aquarium tomorrow morning....we do our fish tank stuff every Friday!!!!
I dont think it's really intended for multi acre jobs. But the vast majority of fuel burned for lawn care is done in "average Joe" Urban neighborhoods. I have the entire line of Ryobi 40v and picked up 4 new 6ah batteries for $115 each. I used my chainsaw today to fell a 14" 100ft tall Redwood that had died. Limbed it and cut the 100ft tree into 2 foot logs all on one 6ah battery. I then used my weedeater to clear a third acre of 8ft tall Canarygrass and used less than a third of my other 6ah battery, and then fell another smaller Alder (about 20ftl that needed to go to give room to drive onto the property. Finished off with mowing the third acre to level off the rough spots I'd left. Never touched the 3rd battery. All told, I used about 4c of electricity (which actually came from the small off grid solar I installed at the property I'm trying to improve) and was kept busy for around 4 hours. Average Joe has almost no real need for gas tools to keep up their yard anymore. Small engines emit roughly 10x the pollution of car engines (per gall9n burned) because they don't have to comply with emission standards. I use to know the specific numbers years ago when I was researching for my degree, but replacing urban lawn tools with electric would make a significant impact on overall USA emissions, allow people to use domestic power, keep neighborhoods quieter, and improve overall air quality locally. All while spending roughly 5% of the money on fuel to run tools that need near zero maintenance. Yes, in some areas the power comes from coal. But a utility scale coal plant puts out less pollution per unit of energy than a small gas engine, and the grid is getting cleaner every day. As the grid gets cleaner, so do these tools. Edit: Because me and my mom were watching these videos, I actually used around 1/4th of the 3rd battery when I got back to my house to show my mom the self propelled 18" mower that I was also using at the property. Mowed about 5,000 sq ft in 20 minutes with about a penny worth of electricity.
I am about sold on this and your sale tips are really helpful. I'm on the same path of full electric. 10 years solar electric and hot water and a new PHEV also. Thanks for the great review!
Our pleasure Mark.....we have several updates in this mower since this video and recently added a plow and just shot a video plowing snow this past weekend which we will be uploading soon....we have plowed with it here in Cleveland 3 times now and we love this thing and spoil alert....it crushed it!
I also am a believer in all-electric and have 17.5 kW PV system on my barn. I drive a DIY electric conversion (1983 VW Rabbit Convertible) with a 130-mile range. I am looking for an electric mower... the only drawback on this is the lead-acid batteries. I would prefer Li-Ion.
From our understanding they used lead batteries to cut down on cost since weight was not an issue for it being a riding mower and will actually help in the plowing process which we will be posting a video about once it starts snowing here in Cleveland....here is the link RYOBI has on their site about recycling them and when the batteries die you can take them to Home Depot so they can be recycled.... www.call2recycle.org/
Can't wait to upgrade from my electric push mower. My yard is .3 acres and no one wants to cut it. And my blades wear out quick too. My next car will be electric too.
Hey Jack and Dan, this was a great overview. Much appreciated. Definitely show the plow video when it comes time, would be great if they can do a snow blower attachment. that would be great.
We've done many videos on the plow and on this mower in general this is almost 2 and a half years old....you can check the playlist in the decryption and on our page for more updates and more to come....thanks
Hello, I recently purchased Ryobi Electric Riding Lawn Mower. Our 1 acre is not very smooth and I am concerned with the need to check on tightening things up after using for the last few months. Would you recommend and if so what areas? FTY I also bought the bagger for leave pick up and am looking at your recommendation for snow plow. I have just found you and will likely listen to all your video's regarding the Ryobi. thanks for sharing.
Brinley Hardy makes one.......yes check out that playlist and scroll through and we share everything we learned over the years and will most likely do another update this Fall and Winter....thanks for watching
Thanks for watching we’ve done quite a few updates on this thing since we’ve gotten it will probably do another one here soon this summer early we really love this thing it was a great investment in our opinion we’ve got about 50 hours on it in the first two years we honestly thought we’d have a lot more time on it considering that we’ve had it almost 2 years but doesn’t add up as much as you think....
@@jackanddan well guess what you just convinced me to buy one. I just paid for it and I’m going to go pick it up today. I truly appreciate you guys. Thank you 🙏🏽
Thanks so much....we love this mower and have done several updates on it and were thrilled when Brinly announced that they were going to make a plow for it....it really crushed the snow and we were totally impressed....we actually have a one year update on this mower coming up Monday....have a great weekend!
Great review, thank you. Is it okay to store in the basement? Would it have to be pushed in and out or can it be driven in and out? I am looking to get our walkout basement doors swapped so i can get this mower and store it in the basement since we dont have a shed or garage space
Yes and yes....we would if we could....we have done many follow up videos on this and have more on the way....we have many playlists and you can find them if you click on playlist and search through for mower videos but also review lots of other stuff too! Thanks and good luck!
The wife mentioned this to me. Started looking into it. How’s the battery held up over the time you’ve had? Still holding a charge good? Think it would do a hill ok? Not really steep could drive a car up it without worrying.
We have done about 6 videos on this over the last year since we got it....check out the playlists and you can pick and choose what you want to see....it's all in the description and also in the playlist lists on our channel....thanks hope that helps
Ordered a 75 AH for my 1/3 acre house. Disabled veteran with bad feet and looking forward to cruise control. In addition my wife can’t stand the gasoline smell in the garage. We have no shed. Waiting for it to arrive soon.
Awesome....hopefully it's as great as ours has been....it's been over a year and we have done several video updates on it and especially love the plow for the snow!
Nice vid! Pricing difference with Europe is insane. I can get it in France for 5,500 Euros, which is around 6,000 USD. Double what you paid in the USA... Makes the business case a lot less attractive. Don't know where the difference comes from. Most products here are similarly priced plus maybe 20% sales tax. Can relate to your reasoning for getting the electric one: I just spent another 250 euros on pulleys and belts etc for my old John Deere tractor... Then there's the gas, oil/fuel/air filter changes, and all the time it takes to maintain it. Even with the European price level, it would still pay back the difference in about ten years.
That's a bummer....hopefully the price comes down sometime soon....we just love this thing and have done several videos on it and will continue to....we hope you have a great weekend!
@@jackanddan thanks, the model is very hard to get over here. Let's see, I can wait another season before I replace the old one. You have a great weekend too! Can't wait for my son to be a little older and enjoy the gardening work together like you are!
We did that in the video where we tested and replaced the battery....it's in the playlist.....it's easy just take off the cover and put some duct tape over it and it's way more quiet....
we have used some of it for things and it is all currently in our shed which we will be cleaning thoroughly this Spring and lost likely making a shelf out of for the fabric couch cushions for when it rains and snows as storage! Thanks so much....we do updates on this mower every 6 months and will be posting the 3 and 1/2 update on it soon!
He was about that probably at the time but was still okay with the seat all the way back….if you bring it all the way to the front it should help …. it does slide forward quite a bit….but he’s also all legs like me so hard to tell for you….
This is really cool! But to be honest, it's kinda overpriced considering the battery life. Still, you're a great dad! Lucky to have a son who's interested in the stuff you are!
We'll see....we feel we got a great deal on it and it's been working awesome....we have done several updates on this since we got it a year ago and especially love the plow....we encourage you to check out the other videos on our playlists to see those....thanks for the nice comment....have a great day!
A couple of reviews I saw said that the rider was so light (at 130 lbs) that the seat sensor didn't detect them and they had to carry weight in their lap just to keep the mower going. Does the manual have a minimum rider weight requirement?
never looked into it.....when we first got this my son was definitely not 130 pounds and it did not go off....we have done several videos on this since then though and have also showed how to dampen the seat alarm and back up alarm as well as other maintenance and ideas....they are in our playlists....hope it helps.
So i know you posted the video in June of this year. But what have you found to be something with the mower that you don't like? How fast do you think it go's? Is it easy to replace the battery and put a new, fully charged battery in?
Matt Thomas....it’ll be a long time before we have to deal with any of that stuff....we do have several other videos we have uploaded on it on our channel in a playlist and will continue to upload more as we come across things....we are currently installing a plow for the snow and will be uploading that video soon....
@@jackanddan i gotcha. Im assuming since this unit is all electric there are fewer moving parts. My next question is how many parts have you had to replace?
@@mattthomas1438 ......We have done absolutely no repairs at all yet and have several updates of it and many of our other electric and battery powered tools on our channel and here are 2 of the playlist that we have on our channel that show several updates on not only those other things but this mower as well....We recently put the low on it and that video will be uploading soon too as well as a video reviewing how the plow actually works in the snow as soon as we get some. Thank you very much my son and I have worked very hard to recondition this yard it was a real mess when we took over this house we’ve done quite a few updates on this mower and how it’s worked out in fact we just shot a video on a two-year update that will be uploading soon and we have also done several videos on how well it plow snow we really love this thing we’ve had like zero problems with it in the two years we’ve owned it now we are very happy that we got it and we do videos on all kind of other fun stuff to we hope you have a great day
how is this on hills? we have about 1/2 acre yard and half of that is just downhill. I just tried the GreenWorks Pro 60v 25inch with 4.0aH + 2.0aH and I can only get half done before it suddenly dies. I think it's because the power assist is using up the battery as well. Also, do you know what the cost would be to replace these batteries in a few years? If a 4.0aH battery cost $200, i can't imagine how much it would cost to replace the batteries on this guy...
Funny you should ask....we just uploaded a one year update on Monday....check the description and pinned comment for links....we love this thing and especially the plow for wintertime!
Thanks....we have done several updates on our 2018 Volt too....love it....just flipped 22,0000 today....we love this mower and have done several updates on it since this one....it plows snow like a champ!
I think solar panels are such a good long term investment. And then to be able to charge your car, mower, etc for free. Plus to power your house for free is such a cool concept.
Thanks so much....we love this mower and have done several updates on it and were thrilled when Brinly announced that they were going to make a plow for it....it really crushed the snow and we were totally impressed....we actually have a one year update on this mower coming up Monday....we have several videos about our solar system and other electric products too....have a great weekend!
That thing is cool! Embrace the tech, everyone! This is coming from someone who owns a 52" Ferris walk behind. I can't wait to see where battery tech takes us! Seems like an awesome purchase. How's it holding up?
We have done several updates and they are all on our playlists.....we love this thing.....crushes the leaves and smashes the snow too.....the plow attachment was a must have....it rules....
@@jackanddan Awesome! I'll check out the other videos. Subbed, man. I'm glad you like it. I have a bit too much property for that one in particular, but I can't wait for the opportunity to buy something like that which will do the job.

We absolutely love this thing and we feel it is very comfortable....I am 6foot1 and fit on it fine with plenty of room and feel the seat is very supportive....we have done several updates on this mower since this video and they are in the description and in our playlists on our channel....
This review is so genuine, I appreciate the effort you two have put into it. Also, was that Manowar poster in your shed also inherited, or did you add that feature? Must be the shed of steel!
Thanks....we love this thing....answered immediately when I saw this comment was from a true brother of metal!!!! Yes it is ours....seen them 5 times....KINGS OF METAL!!!!
@@rattlehead05 Heck yeah....we have a whole series of videos we have done on this mower in our playlists....we freaking love it dude....great deal and great investment....take care and be well!
Is the battery user replaceable? Two competing models I have considered require battery replacement by a certified service technician, but there are none within 80 miles of the house. Do you have an estimate on how long the battery will last and how much it costs?
From what we have seen we can replace the battery ourselves from what we have researched we have logged only about 50 hours on this and had it for almost 2 years between the leaves the grass and plowing snow with it we have done several updates on it since we posted this video at this point in time the only maintenance that is due is at 100 hours....So it looks like we really won’t have to do anything for about two more years the battery life is working awesome we have had no issues with it we do keep it in the garage because we have like a 2 1/2 car garage which is very convenient and one of the main reasons we bought this house the old mower was kept in the shed but we just moved some stuff like the bikes in those sorts of things into the shed So the mower could be put in the garage year round....We will definitely be doing more updates on this and everything else we use on our videos like we always do
Thanks Mason.....it's pretty relative for sure....our previous yard was a postage stamp so this is a lot for us to take care of compared to what we were used to....this house sat on the market for 3 years before we bought it and was very neglected and we had to do a lot of work to get the yard under control....over 1000 bricks.....removed many trees and bushes....mulch mulch mulch....rain barrels....we have many videos about it and about this mower and we love it....it plowed snow awesome and we are uploading a 1 year update on it this morning....thanks for your nice comment and have a great day!
we just did a one year update in this mower yesterday....we love it....we'll try to fix it and if we can't there is a shop quite close that can....they are very big and do everything....we are lucky there....
It's electric, probably won't break anytime soon. If it does, it will either be some chassis part that they can replace or motor, which they can just take off and take to some electronic repair shop. I like this mower a lot, but I'd still get a gas one. I don't know, it's just not the same without the engine noise that makes it more fun to mow.
We just unbolted it....honestly don't remember it was three years ago as soon as we took it out of the box....couldn't have been difficult because don't really remember doing it....the mulch plug then holds on with the bands....we use the bags for leaves and the mulch plug....in the summer
We’ve done quite a few videos on this mower since we posted this video and in every video we explain that we never really timed it we just plug it in before we go to bed at night and it’s charged in the morning we never really actually checked it we have a new video coming up soon on this one actually probably next week and there has been some slight issues with the battery that are brand new and so we’re going to be pursuing that following up with Ryobi and doing videos and how how all that process goes as well We will also probably set something up to get a better idea of how long it actually takes to charge but since the battery lasts for our whole entire property we’ve never had to test it or check it we just plug it in in in the morning it’s good to go so we really don’t know unfortunately but I’m sure if you hit the links in the description and you go to Ryobi’s page they probably have explanations there
This one's finally came to Norway but the price is hair raising it cost twice as much as a John Deere e170 and I need to load the battery twice to move the garden I think the Norwegian price will equal to 8000 is dollars
Thanks for stopping by....that's funny....that's an old Mushroomhead lyric....hahahaha....We love it....We've done quite a few updates on it and actually have a 1 year review coming up Monday....have a great evening.

cepinjose ....45 inches....yes it is nice to have that area....I was going to run a line to the shed but decided to put it the garage and move some things around because we put a plow on it and used it this winter for that and thought it would be much easier to have in the garage.....it worked awesome and we have several updates on this mower in the playlist in the description....
Or, you could replace the vertical shaft engine in a regular riding mower with a 48V DC electric motor (believe I saw them for around $500) and add about $200 worth of batteries and have an electric riding mower for under $1000 especially since you can probably get one with a bad engine for FREE.
I am trying to decide on this or the zero turn one. I want a plow too like yours but don't see any for the zero turn. Great videos! Really great watching your adventures with your son. Rock on!
Thanks so much....Brinly (the maker of the plow) reached back out to us and are sending us hats and shirts and possibly some equipment to review so that's really cool....trying to talk them into sending us a pull behind leaf pick up....don't think the zero turn has a plow but we love the compact size of this and the power and it takes turns pretty sharp....honestly plowing with it didn't even seem like work....it was just fun hahahaha....we were going to take the plow off this weekend and start cutting some grass, but it snowed this morning in Cleveland so we'll work on our aquariums instead and try again next weekend....have a great weekend and be well....
You said it had just over 2 hours of use so far. And you have just about an acre of yard. Was there any playing around with it? If it takes 2 hours just to mow an acre that is horribly slow. Right?
Yes there was playing around with it.....we mention that in the video....we have done several update videos on this over the past year and it has been doing a wonderful job and we just love it.....we encourage you to check those out....they are all in our labeled playlists
How much did ya pay to convert the house to solar? My wife and I are hoping to buy or build and we want some solar panels. We have a hybrid vehicle now.
It's different for everyone depending on where you live, how much a kilowatt is, etc....etc....in a nutshell....we took a home equity loan....very low interest and pay the loan instead of an electric bill....we are all electric....no gas....it was a 10 year loan and is half over so in 5 years no more bills....very good thing to do....we have several video in our playlists about them with more info and links etc....we were the first in our area to get them now there at about 10 other houses and businesses around us who did it after seeing how well it worked fir us....thanks for stopping by....
Jack and Dan thanks! We will look into it all. A doctor friend of ours put 60 grand into adding more panels to his setup and new batteries. The power company pays him for power sometimes lol
Jonathan Anderson cool....yeah we get about 50 bucks a month which pretty much covers most of our sewer and water and the electric company also credits us for kilowatts we send back them and we can bank them and use them for times there is less ☀️.....it’s really a great investment and the younger you are when you do it the more you will benefit from it 👍
Jack and Dan Will be checking out more of your videos 😀 This battery kit is awesome! Thank you very much for watching and subscribing. I have subscribed to you guys 😀
Herbert von Sauerkraut unterhose ....haha maybe could cut half and then charge and cut other half .... we have done several updates on this showing how it handled leaves and now snow with a plow....we really love it....
Herbert von Sauerkraut unterhose .....yeah well wish we mowed year round....we got lots of snow here in Cleveland but this baby has been crushing it with the plow we got....good luck mate....👍
We converted our house to solar and have done many video on that and you may notice the panels on our room in the this video....we have a completely electric house and will never pay for utilities again....we will be doing an update on them soon as we hit a milestone recently!

Thanks so much for the review. I didn't know this could be used as a plow too!
@@Itme our pleasure....we have done many videos on this mower and we have more to come!
Sorry for your loss.
Ryobi also has one rated for 1 hour or one acre that's a little cheaper.
sorry for your loss
So great to see ,Father and son together, real quality time.Blessings to you.
Thanks so much....we have a lot of fun being creative and posting videos....have a great day!
Lisa Stikes....she will with that awesome new mower....we just gave our old mower to a veteran who lives in our community because he wants to fix it up and use it and we will be doing an update on our mower soon....we love it....thanks for stopping by....👍
You saved time by avoiding craftsman. I had one that worked half the time and it stopped working within the first year
308328928....yeah we live it and have been using it all summer....we will be doing an update soon for Fall and how it is performing with the leaves because we get A LOT....👍
i like watching videos on new mowers because i mow the lawn at my parents house and some other ones and i use a riding mower from the 80s that my dad just keeps fixing
we love this thing! we've done other videos on it too....check out playlists and channel for more....it's amazing and we even plowed snow with it
Kid, you have a great dad who's thinking about the world you're inheriting. Very inspiring!
Thanks Justin....we gotta try to do what we can....we hope you had a wonderful weekend....be well....
@@jackanddan Thank you guys for this review and the others for the Ryobi electric riding mower. They should help me get my wife on board with the purchase (hopefully!). We have three young girls and are making a conscious effort to avoid fossil fuel consumption moving forward.
The dad could be the next howard stern or radio host. I wish I had a house, a lawn, and solar.
Awesome John....We actually just changed the blades and put the bags on because our leaves are starting to come down here in Cleveland....we will be posting a video about how easy that was to do and then a video shortly after about how this awesome mower handles the piles of leaves our beautiful oak trees bless us with every year hahahaha....
very beautiful video.. thanks for sharing such a high quality video with us... 🙏🙏
This wonderful video of yours has been watched a lot. Thank you for your wonderful sharing..
being a single person love this video, happy to see normal family. I want one but can only use it twice a year or so. So cal. near temecula.
Thanks that's very nice....Me and Jack's mother have shared parenting....since he was 1....he deals with it and with her very well hahahaha....I try to do the best I can....we love sharing all these things to help other people out....we have a pretty cool update on one of our big tanks tomorrow....have a great day!

Many thanks for a review guys, looks like a really great stuff👌👌
Happy Fathers Day Dan....good Fathers Day Video. Keep up the good work...👍👍👍👍
Thanks! You too!
Really appreciate the review fellas! This video was extremely helpful!
bill callahan ....awesome....we have done several updates on this mower since and they are all on our yard stuff playlist and in fact we have a short one uploading this morning too....because we just took off the plow and did the first cut for Spring and man it was long
What do you do when leaves fall onto your mulched sections of the garden?
Looks like an OK urban mower. Like so many electric products thus far, great idea, not practical outside the city limits.
Cub cadet has a li-ion setup I believe. Itll now 2 acres on 1 charge.
One of my neighbors has a roybi push mower and you only need an electric mower if you have a small yard but his yard it takes him 4 days
One of the longest-running electric cordless mowers there is.
Can't wait to upgrade from my electric push mower. My yard is .3 acres and no one wants to cut it. And my blades wear out quick too. My next car will be electric too.
Jason Hall ....we love this thing and just bought a plow for it for winter and will be doing a follow video soon....👍

Nice video?, thanks. It's March 2022, how has the mower held up? We are on the verge of buying one.
check out our playlist....we've done updates about every 6 months on it!!
Great and useful review.
Thanks ❤
Thanks for sharing! Great upload!
Awesome video thanks 🙏🏽 fellas
Thanks for watching we’ve done quite a few updates on this thing since we’ve gotten it will probably do another one here soon this summer early we really love this thing it was a great investment in our opinion we’ve got about 50 hours on it in the first two years we honestly thought we’d have a lot more time on it considering that we’ve had it almost 2 years but doesn’t add up as much as you think....
@@jackanddan well guess what you just convinced me to buy one. I just paid for it and I’m going to go pick it up today. I truly appreciate you guys. Thank you 🙏🏽
You made a very helpful video 🙏❤️🙏
Glad it was helpful!
Man if I ever have a lawn big enough this may be the mower I'd get! Probably save a lot on gas and oil too!
@@jackanddan thanks for the helpful and quick reply, ill be sure to check out more of your vids
Awesome electric lawn mower 👏👍🏿
Great vid. Do u have one on how to quieten the beeping noise?
We did that in the video where we tested and replaced the battery....it's in the playlist.....it's easy just take off the cover and put some duct tape over it and it's way more quiet....
love that manowar poster in the shed, classic
Kings of metal....seen em 5 times!
Jack and Dan MAN O WAR MAN O WAR LIVING ON THE ROAD!
Were you able to repurpose the metal shipping crate into a table or something useful?
we have used some of it for things and it is all currently in our shed which we will be cleaning thoroughly this Spring and lost likely making a shelf out of for the fabric couch cushions for when it rains and snows as storage! Thanks so much....we do updates on this mower every 6 months and will be posting the 3 and 1/2 update on it soon!
How tall is Jack in this video? Asking because I'm only 4'11"and have trouble reaching the gas pedal sometimes...
@@jackanddan You too, stay safe.

Great lawn mower review ❤❤
how is this on hills? we have about 1/2 acre yard and half of that is just downhill.
Seems to do very well....we also plowed snow with it this winter and it crushed!
How's your mower holding up?
I yard large, but not quite a acre.
We went with the smaller 1 hour or 1 acre ryobi electric riding mower.
Funny you should ask....we just uploaded a one year update on Monday....check the description and pinned comment for links....we love this thing and especially the plow for wintertime!

Is the battery user replaceable? Two competing models I have considered require battery replacement by a certified service technician, but there are none within 80 miles of the house. Do you have an estimate on how long the battery will last and how much it costs?
From what we have seen we can replace the battery ourselves from what we have researched we have logged only about 50 hours on this and had it for almost 2 years between the leaves the grass and plowing snow with it we have done several updates on it since we posted this video at this point in time the only maintenance that is due is at 100 hours....So it looks like we really won’t have to do anything for about two more years the battery life is working awesome we have had no issues with it we do keep it in the garage because we have like a 2 1/2 car garage which is very convenient and one of the main reasons we bought this house the old mower was kept in the shed but we just moved some stuff like the bikes in those sorts of things into the shed So the mower could be put in the garage year round....We will definitely be doing more updates on this and everything else we use on our videos like we always do
2:25 “The reason we bought the 100 amp one is we do have a pretty big yard...”
Me and my 2 acre yard: That’s cute.
Curious, when this one breaks will you be able to repair it? Or do you have to go to a special mechanic?
we just did a one year update in this mower yesterday....we love it....we'll try to fix it and if we can't there is a shop quite close that can....they are very big and do everything....we are lucky there....
It's electric, probably won't break anytime soon. If it does, it will either be some chassis part that they can replace or motor, which they can just take off and take to some electronic repair shop.
I like this mower a lot, but I'd still get a gas one. I don't know, it's just not the same without the engine noise that makes it more fun to mow.
we love how quite this is and we'll never go back....hate the fumes form the old ones too....
How did you remove the side dish charge chute? Can you send me a video of that?
We just unbolted it....honestly don't remember it was three years ago as soon as we took it out of the box....couldn't have been difficult because don't really remember doing it....the mulch plug then holds on with the bands....we use the bags for leaves and the mulch plug....in the summer
How long does it take to completely charge up?
We’ve done quite a few videos on this mower since we posted this video and in every video we explain that we never really timed it we just plug it in before we go to bed at night and it’s charged in the morning we never really actually checked it we have a new video coming up soon on this one actually probably next week and there has been some slight issues with the battery that are brand new and so we’re going to be pursuing that following up with Ryobi and doing videos and how how all that process goes as well We will also probably set something up to get a better idea of how long it actually takes to charge but since the battery lasts for our whole entire property we’ve never had to test it or check it we just plug it in in in the morning it’s good to go so we really don’t know unfortunately but I’m sure if you hit the links in the description and you go to Ryobi’s page they probably have explanations there
Captin Plannet sheds a tear of joy.
My gosh i just love how green and thick your grass is. I have a acre and trying to get it to look like this. Just dont know how.
we cut it high and try to let it do it's thing....
How many acres are you mowing? Do you think that this will be able to tackle a 5 acre property?
The 100AH is made for 2.5 so you could probably do half at a time....we have 1 acre and don't even use half of the battery....

Thanks for stopping by....that's funny....that's an old Mushroomhead lyric....hahahaha....We love it....We've done quite a few updates on it and actually have a 1 year review coming up Monday....have a great evening.
Thank you for sharing. And I appreciate the info you provide in the video. A shorter video might have been even more effective. But great work!
Glad it helped....this was one of our first videos.....we've made a lot since then and have made them much better....you live and you learn....this is all working out very well though....we have done may updates on this and many other videos about health and wellness and out adventures and aquariums as well....check out our channel when you have more time....and thanks again....
Nice video. How do you clean the cutting deck ?
Thanks....We have a little concrete slab next to the shed we pull up on and lift it up to clean and work on it....here's that video and we have several other videos with updates on the bagging and plow etc...in our yard stuff playlist....

Great Video. How many inches is the side of your garage where you store it? My garage is compact and I don’t have a shed.
cepinjose ....45 inches....yes it is nice to have that area....I was going to run a line to the shed but decided to put it the garage and move some things around because we put a plow on it and used it this winter for that and thought it would be much easier to have in the garage.....it worked awesome and we have several updates on this mower in the playlist in the description....
Great video fun and informative thank you
We'll see how it goes....we just uploaded a one year update on it last Monday....loving this thing!
That crate that it came in you might be able to make a lift for hoisting it up and out of the way, how about replacement parts like blades?
Great electric Lawn mower review √√
very power lawn mower so cool
Or, you could replace the vertical shaft engine in a regular riding mower with a 48V DC electric motor (believe I saw them for around $500) and add about $200 worth of batteries and have an electric riding mower for under $1000 especially since you can probably get one with a bad engine for FREE.
You should do a video about that and show everyone how to do it Brian....👍
@@jackanddan There's already a couple of them on UA-cam, but if I ever get around to it, I may make a video about it!
Отличная техника. Спасибо за обзор.
Such a great review! Thanks 🙏
Jonathan Anderson cool....yeah we get about 50 bucks a month which pretty much covers most of our sewer and water and the electric company also credits us for kilowatts we send back them and we can bank them and use them for times there is less ☀️.....it’s really a great investment and the younger you are when you do it the more you will benefit from it 👍
Jack and Dan did you use a national company to buy the panels?
Jonathan Anderson we used Yellowlite....they are linked in our videos
Great video - looks like an awesome machine 😀
all about electric.....we have a whole playlist of our solar and electric....we just checked you out and subbed too....
Jack and Dan Will be checking out more of your videos 😀 This battery kit is awesome! Thank you very much for watching and subscribing. I have subscribed to you guys 😀

You guys did a great job. I wish i could afford one.
Thanks....people have said they have been running a lot deals right now with everything going on....
Love big believer in electric and solar I actually sell solar. Question were there any tax benefits you got for the mower?
According to what we found, not in our state of Ohio currently, but we have a great accountant and she is going to check further come tax time to see if anything changes....we have other videos about our solar system on our channel as well and all kinds of other adventures we've taken too....
Awesome I’m in Cincy I’ll def check out your system maybe you bought it from us haha
What's the name of your solar company?
Matt Thomas ....we used yellowlite

Thanks so much....we love this mower and have done several updates on it and were thrilled when Brinly announced that they were going to make a plow for it....it really crushed and we were totally impressed....it was a fantastic deal....yeah a nylon piece would be good and we will probably put one on for next year....our driveway is very old and it was super load and annoying....we actually have a one year update on this mower coming up Monday!
