As the Kookaburras embark on the biggest tournament of the year, the Hockey World League, this video relives the team's historic Champions Trophy victory in dramatic slow motion.
This is sooo good they are absolutely the best without a doubt!! Love watching this video over and over and what a winning goal by Kiron Govers!! Go Ausies Go Kookaburras
This is absolutely brilliant. My son (10) and I watch this repeatedly, and he is always so reinvigorated about hockey each time. Off to Sydney hockey camp tomorrow. Thanks HockeyAustralia - would love more of these please !
What an incredible, breathtaking game. Two of the best teams of athletes; not just in the sport, but in the world. Perfect end to an awesome tournament.
Well, i think you guys should be giving more credit to the dutch goalie, and should pay a little more attention to the amount of misses penalty corners, netherlanths had 1=1 goal. But great game and the best team won i guess
I hate to see players deliberately forcing the ball into the feet/legs of opponents and 'winning' penalty for doing so (umpires are to blame for not deterring this practice). The forcing Rule was deleted, the forcing offence was not. Forcing is still an offence under "other Rules" , that was explained at the time of the deletion in the rule-book under Rule Changes. That does not make much sense (why bother deleting?) but is a fact. When another Rule is breached while forcing contact then forcing should be penalised along with the breached Rule. I would like to see a card issued for deliberate forcing of ball-body contact. Let's go back to honest stick-work and eluding skills. Playing surfaces and sticks have never been better, there is no excuse for a lack of these skills. The Rule most commonly breached is contained in the Explanation of Rule 9.9. - raising the ball (there is no minimum height) towards an opponent who is within 5m - it is usually done from within1m. It is not a legitimate skill, it is a foul. How many penalty corners were awarded, as a direct result of this foul, to the team of the player who committed it?
wow, hockey Australia, welcome to the 21st Century of marketing. About time others took the lead of the EHL which is the best presented hockey ever. HD shots like Govers at 3.13 and cirelo at 1.14 to show the strength/fitness and "sex appeal" of players and the sport. This is the best sport on earth, played by the fittest and toughest athletes going around......nothing like it!
I do know feild hockey came way befor ice hockey ice hockey only became a thing because of feild hockey because of the climents in Canada USA and Sweden and so on so go rescarch befor u post a bunch of shit
+Jace cannon Well yeah, you can't play ice hockey without ice. Duh. Just because it's older doesn't mean it's better. The radio is older than the television, the hot air balloon is older than the airplane, and so on.
This is why hockey is the best sport in the world!!!!! AMAZING video love it
It is an exciting example of taking traditional hockey video making and covering it with a new passion of showing this great sport. Well done.

Seams like a great sport. I appreciate the athletes. I must say if you add ice, triple the speed and add contact...it's rather exciting...
Clarence LeBlanc it's got its own skill on ground with the small stick
