  • In this episode I take a trip to one of the ShengSi islands. It's a group of beautiful islands just below Shanghai, they are part of Zhejiang province. It is also where the biggest container port in the world is situated and we'll be checking it out and getting some drone footage of it.
    It takes about 3 hours to get there by public transport. The original plan was to go to 杨善镇 which is a village on one of the islands but unfortunately to take the ferry from the main island one needs to take ID with them. When you're doing cross provincial travel or going to different cities in China, you need to bring ID. My friend and I didn't so ended up walking around the main island with the port. It's quite desolate, dirty and not a touristic place. But hey, not many people go there to have a walk, so it was a unique experience.

    This port is really a monster. Now we have an understanding of what it means to be an economic superpower and the greatest trading nation in the world. The drone shot of all those containers is mindboggling.

    I also think this is the biggest Container Port in the world. My god, how do they manage these containers. They are just too many. Just learned about this now. thank you for sharing .

      Apparently this port is completely automated 😱, doesn't need staff to manage those machinese. That's crazy

    I dont think ID is mandatory for interprovince travels tho..

    • @viizii
      @viizii  3 роки тому +1

      You can’t buy tickets without ID for trains, coaches, planes, ferries to go anywhere. Even to a different city so yes it’s mandatory. Even to travel by car you might get stopped and asked for ID.

    20 years from today the biggest port of the world show on this video will be a dead zone, more and more country will shift to vietnam, banglash or haiti to build or ship their goods.
