Moore's Law arguably ended over a decade ago. Semiconductors are still shrinking, but we are already close to the physical limits for the smallest nodes possible. That's not to say we won't continue to have some advancements. Today's AI is built mathematical ideas and algorithms that have been around for a long time. To put Moore's Law in perspective though there is only a finite amount of progress you can make. Say we've made a trillion-fold progress with semiconductors since the 1960s, there is less than a thousand-fold more possible.
That may sound like a lot, but it's not. This means that all the big gains are well behind us. We reached the peak rate of gains during the 1990s. Since that time, progress has continued to slow.
Quantum computing does not work like normal computing and there is very little practical application for it. So even if it does become practical for use, the areas where it can be used will be extremely limited.
I believe these technologies will all come to pass within the given time frame. It is important to remember, though, that not all countries on Earth will progress equally. The US will fall far behind East/Southwest Asia/Western Europe due to perpetual bipartisan squabbling and special interest groups stonewalling technological progress and the rebuilding of infrastructure. I travel extensively, and have spent many years working in Singapore, Shanghai and Bangkok. Every time I go back to the US I feel us getting closer to becoming a third world country.

I dont deny the current rate of technical advancement seems to appear slower than some but I have no doubt the US, is so much further along than it appears ( for example military tech is far beyond what most believe even possible ) and is on the verge of a tech boom and this will remain THE GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH

I am very excited about this. It will be amazing to experience all of this, before we all inevitably blow ourselves or each other up and then, you guessed it, another great flood haha. But until then, awesome sauce!

At this stage in technology as presented I don't see why humanity (or what's left of it after transhumanism has become mainstream as presented) would need to mine asteroids or other resources for materials because in previous video's you stated how we become capable of manipulating matter at the quantum level which would suggest we'd be able to create whatever material was needed this way. It would also mean money or currency was no longer needed like in Star Trek where we focus on other things, not in the Communist view of things though.
Even with all the technology we have at our disposal today, which would have seemed just as incredible to people a century ago as these predictions seem to us, humans still grow crops in the fields, raise cattle, build houses out of stone, and do most of the things that we've done since the dawn of civilisation. I imagine if you told someone from the 1800s about the Internet, they'd wonder if people still used books in the future.
@@jamesgravil9162 The more technologically advanced a civilization becomes, the less need there is to use older technologies. We may use old techniques in some cases but there are many old techniques and technologies we no longer use.

The is no "world in 2300". People will inhabit many computer generated virtual worlds.
I don't think you can upload your mind, it may be possible if you had perfect replication, to shift consciousness, but a better way to move your consciousness to a new medium is by slowly and gradually replacing neurons, over a period of time, maybe months or years. It would probably be a slight bit uncomfortable with the distortions, but it shouldn't be too bad if you did it slow enough. Information doesn't have to be stored locally in synthetic cells. The earth, and astroids, and planets will probably serve as a networked nexces of soul data, that will be the like the solar necropolis of the future.
With perfect replication, via networked neurons, I do think you could destroy a body and remake it completely, while the soul of the person passes between them without breaking continuity.
It would be interesting to try this in the future once we have master genetics and can clone people like fruits.
Knowledge and consciousness and will are so weird. It kind of makes a dimension in of itself, and exists within it. It seem like it's either that, or being alive or being conscious and a self from day to day is an illusion of the mind. Maybe people die constantly but just don't know it or understand it, so they become something that is just information living in a world of free willed, thinking souls.

1. Anything like stretchy arms or morphing in general would require you to be able to rewrite your molecular structure on the fly and to produce mass and lose mass rapidly. The energy requirements for that would turn you into a small Hiroshima every time you altered yourself.
2. Star Trek style of teleportation ISN'T possible. Just think about it for 5 minutes. First you'd need something that could read your ENTIRE atomic structure instantaneously. Then your atomic bonds will be ripped apart. (meaning you'd die, maybe with violent fission explosion). Then that structural information will need to be wirelessly transferred, (that's an estimated 80 zettabytes of information btw,) in a timely manner to an atomic construction machine. Then have the machine build a you from new atoms (meaning you are a completely different person) INSTANTLY (otherwise you die.)
3. Interstellar travel wont be a thing for a VERY LONG TIME. People forget that dust is a common thing in space, meaning if you hit a spec of dusk at a significant % of the speed of light, well I'll let your imagination fill in the rest. So its wormholes or bust when it comes to interstellar travel.
Sorry to be a downer, but the realistic expectations for the future are still awesome. Self Driving Vehicles, Cybernetics, AI, and Composite Materials, its all really cool stuff.

Are you unfamiliar with exponential growth and the Singularity? I recommend reading anything by Ray Kurzweil, he's the expert on this subject.

He is in a desert, and he says, "I used to have a handle on life...." while off in the distance a cloud of dust, kicked up by his bike is receding into the desert... For the past 150 years or so, Science, Technology and Sociology has become that bike. In actual fact it began 600 years ago, with the invention of the Printing Press. But change was so slow we didn't notice it as a species. It was only after the Napoleonic Wars, that it has sped up. Take 1869 when the USA finished it's Trans Continental Railroad, then 1969, they landed on the Moon, to today, and the speed which we are approaching the year 2069 and Mars Colonization. It is like a dog that has slipped off it's leash and is out of control...
