I was debating the purchase of a CS800D to put in my vehicle. My concern was losing the wide receive that I have in my FT-8800. Then, I just saw a used U25D for sale. I and hadn't heard of this amp before. You sold me on it and I get to keep my FT8800!
Yeah go lookup Letcher County Amateur Radio Club on Facebook and message me there. There is a great club in Lexington called Bluegrass Amateur Radio Society as well.

New GMRS user here, I was considering this exact Amp fpr my TD-H3 handheld for ise as a home base. I am also a Kentucky boy as well lol. From eastern Ky and now near Lexington. I was wondering if we can talk about a few things. Sich as a good it hopefully budget power supply gor the amp and general tips fpr use. I currently am using a KB9VBR J pole tuned tor GMRS and was wondering of that's OK to ise with rhem for no damage to it, or if I'd jeed a new antenna? Thanks for the video. It helped 6 years after it was posted.
Yep if you are a ham look me up on QRZ call is AF4Y. I am down in EKY as well in Letcher County.
@TheElrono Nope, I'm just getting started with GMRS to get my feet wet. Most likely going for Ham after a while. Mayne FB messenger or if there's a direct emai or communication l option here onnYT somehwere or how
What is the temprature of this item after 1/2 or 1 h of use?
I seen that same exact amp hooked to a Meter 7 W going in and only put out 25.8 W So if you’re putting 2 watts in and getting 25 out you must know the radio gods
No more then 20w out with 2w in in a good day.If you use china made watt meter, than could be around 25w. My Baofang walkie talkie is labeled 8w ,but in reality is 4w.
