And gotta say: this opening was not really meant to make sense. It just needed show the compilations of things that will happen in this arc. But because everything in this arc forward is much much different than the previous seasons that's why it didn't make sense. It reflects well to the fact that everyone is confused at the earlier episodes of this season but aftercseeing it through the end, it finally makes sense

People disliked this? I’m a bit late, but I feel this opening feels so perfect for the arc it’s representing. That feeling of anger, of war, of devastation, finally having the answers and now wanting justice, revenge, war all over again

This opening blew me away as it opens a whole a new chapter to AOT after being confined within the walls from the previous 3 seasons, it shows the chaos that awaits them.
The guy with the white hoodie in the leftmost second row is pretty much half if not most of the people's reaction with the opening upon first viewing/listening lmao
Definitely not me, i remember i havent watched the first episode back then, and only heard the OP on Twittee and from that moment i know i'll love it so much, and got disappointed they didnt release the full version early. Sasageyo and My war are my top 1 favorite OP in AoT.
@@asaemin9427 It was probably because most people are too used to the more common anime opening format where the visuals show the characters and the events, Meanwhile My War is more abstract/symbolism. And people usually who watch anime ops tend to fully digest the visuals first before they could dissect and appreciate the song used

AOT is my all time favourite anime series followed by Initial-D, This opening is my favourite of the whole AOT series, goes so hard, slaps harder than a dumptruck going 180, just straight up an orchestra of eargasm

I love how their reaction is split and confused but when you think about it real hard, the opening actually fits the arc.
