  • A short video documenting my family's time on the Rockwall Trail in the summer of 2022. We completed the trail from Paint Pots TH to Floe Lake TH. The bugs were fine, the weather was beautiful during the day and thunderstorms during night. It was truly a world class trip. Will be back next year to do the entire Great Divide Trail.

Fantastic video! This looks like an amazing trail and one I'm considering for this year. What are your thoughts on the best places to set camp?

all the campsites are good. Floe Lake is beautiful and while its the best campsite, even spending a few hours there is good enough. Best parts of the trail are hiking, not in the camping areas which are below treeline in the valleys.

Some of the sweetest mountain scenery I've seen in a while 👌🏻 How busy is this trail and how long does it take?

Thanks for that! Yea it was a stunning trail. It has permits on the trail and we tended to leave camp late. So we really only saw about ten people a day while hiking the first 3 days. The last day hiking down we passed more as Floe Lake is a popular day hike.
Some do it in a day - we took four days with the only tough day being the first day.

@@CanadianSkylights Thanks for the info friend! Maybe I'll make it there one day. Shall we keep connected then? 😉
