    WOW - what an absolutely breathtaking road. Especially crazy considering how close it is to Calgary. Thanks for sharing!

    I don't think there is a more authentic mountain driving experience than following a huge RV through beautiful scenery. Beautiful drive and nice work on the video.

      There were a ton of RVs in the park that day. It was during a very brief moment last fall when they still allowed interprovincial travel before the covid numbers got bad. I wouldn't be able to record this video now if I hadn't done it last September.

      @@TransCanadaPhil yeah, covid is crazy. I flew out west last July, at the time there weren’t any travel restrictions between provinces and the numbers were quite low. I booked that flight in April and I remember thinking to myself that surely we would be done with covid by then. I certainly didn’t hit the nail on the head with that prediction.

      The only thing more authentic than a single RV is a whole convoy of them. Mountains attract RVs like bees to honey. 😂😂

    Nice video, Phil.
    This is one of my favourite drives, it's been too long since I've been there. Floe Lake is a nice hike. You follow a gentle valley and not too difficult until you get to the valley headwall. Then, it's an abrupt, very steep climb to the lake.

      maybe I'll try it next time I'm there. I only went on some of the shorter hikes, but it's quite a nice park, I'll visit it again!

    First time watching one of your videos after seeing your post in the Freeway Jim group. Glad I clicked! I like your format. Not only was it a great trip with awesome scenery, but I like the music, and your method of making the signs pop off their locations looks cool.

      Thanks! For a moment I thought there was some extra Facebook group I wasn't aware of, Freeway Kim sounds cool lol :-) Thanks for checking out my channel. I normally do a complete continuous DJ mix for each of my videos using my DJ Controller, beat matching, and trying to create a consistent vibe for each video. I'll have a 2nd part to this series in Kootenay coming up, Hecla Island in Winnipeg, and a bunch of other footage I still have backlogged!

    Great. Another drive based on the Canadian Rockies. AB-93 and BC-93 are the routes you took and they're numbered by US 93 from the US border to Montana. Western Canada is a beautiful area of Canada where you see a lot of nature and even most of all the mountains.

    • @TransCanadaPhil
      @TransCanadaPhil  3 роки тому +1

      I was not aware of that! I know some highways in Manitoba that connect to US highways are sometimes coordinated like that
