In the history of Radio and Television, there has never been a better or more successful spin off character. Still going strong almost 30 years later!
The advent of perhaps the greatest comedic character ever.
Steve Coogan and Chris Morris are an absolutely superb comedy duo. They complement eachother wonderfully. Huge fan of the both of them.
AP is the most talented TV personality we have ever seen...he's done sport, chatshows, radio, podcasts and morning tv...and all have been top class. JURASSIC PARK!!!
So funny. Thanks for compiling and uploading.
No probs, thanks
Yeah, thank you very much. You blonde bas**rd
Been looking for this, cheers
2024 and it still makes me laugh
There’s at least 16 dossers and dwads who have watched this. Lovely stuff 👌
Sounds like you're back on dhe boddle
Absolute quality! Like most things back then
It's weird how his voice changed from this to basically Jeremy Irons for his recent audiobooks, probably a groin injury!
Alan sounded much more folksy when he was manning the sports desk. Then again, he always has been a man of the people.
Absolutely classic, especially the Linford Christie groin strain.
Yes yes yes yes yes YES GOAL!!!
Pure class
Glorious
you are a LEGEND
Cheers. Partridge is UK comedy history after all.
Love David Schneider playing Graham Gooch, couldn't look more different
Lovely stuff.
through the chicane. through the chicane. 😂😂
He really sounds quite different to the voice he used from the mid 90's to early 00's
Great stuff
Mmmm lovely stuff.
Coming from nowhere, I am a horse! I am a horse! Coming straight up the inside, I am a horse!
That
......is a Goal!!!
Through the Chicane...
Amazing
That “action-synth” keyboard incidental background music cracks me up
That's Jean-Michel Jarre innit? Used to hear that piece everywhere in the '80s, pretty sure it was used as a TV show theme too
@@AfterSabbath Yeah Oxygene and I think the tv show was Where There's Life?
It's Oxygene Part 4 specifically
What an absolute groin wrecker
Brilliant
Followed by Senna, Prost, BURGER and PIQUET!
Alan sounds a bit Richie Benaud here. Remarkable.
Early Alan alternates from Richie Bennau to John Motson...interesting!
Alan makes my life better. Also, when the sumo dude chokes him, he sounds a little bit like Golum from Tolkien's nonsensical magnum opus Lords of the Ring.
cook_pass_babtridge from Alan Partridge to lord of the Rings in no steps whatsoever.
Lords of the Ring? Isn't that a wrestling documentary?
over to sport....we havent got it HAHAHA
Still, nice to have a bit of time to yourself.
Quality ta
for longevity and consistency he rivals dame edna imho, and you can't put many up there with her. RIP
Liquid football
lol @ the recurring groin questions
So was he married before Carol?
You didn't get to the point where she got resurrected then? :p
Yep first wife died. So sad, just for a throwaway one liner.
16:10 Lmao
Vegetarian hunt
Where's all the pictures!?
It's a radio show
Moribund
Groin this, groin that.... I bet on FIFA Ultimate Team he relentlessly tries to apply a GROIN healing card on an upper body injury.
doesn't sound like Alan at all
it's an early version of him
Embryonic Alan.
He mentions this in the interview between him and Ianucci. He was a generic sports reporter.
I know. And another thing that sucks and makes it worthy of whining like a bitch about for no reason, Carol, Alan's ex-wife, never died and rose from the dead, either! These lies make the 27 years of brilliant comedy worthless.
True Alan fans know it sounds exactly like Partridge. He evolved from a sports commentator to chatshow host to local radio dj and the voice changed accordingly
I was wrong it’s his younger voice!!
It's Steve Coogan, the guy that actually plays Alan Partridge.
@@bobbywog 😂
Partridges voice has changed over many versions.
@@nudisco300 all that traveling from Norwich to Thetford must have changed his accent
@@bobbywogand wrote a lot of it too
this is not partridge
What do you mean ?
Yeah what do you mean ?
?????
Yes it is.
