Tips of an OTP Vi that aint on the video, watch all the video and read it all if u want to be good with the champ Builds: -DONT BUILD NEITHER ECLIPSE OR TRINITY -I dont really like hail of blades, vi dont need that attack speed, i think electrocute is way better, it gives u a lot of dmg on ganks and can be the difference between the enemy alive or dead -On mini runes dont use attack speed, use AD, it helps ur clear a lot -First back = CDR Boots, if u have 700 extra gold, is better build life ruby and long sword then sheen -Sterak isnt really needed -Always buy CDR Boots first > divine sunderer > black cleaver (with those 3 items, u will have 60% CDR, that means Q every 3.24 Seconds) > bramble vest (if full ad or ad feeded, upgrade it to thornail) , if they have oneshot, buy gargoyle stoneplate, but with that build u will barely die if ahead, if u need a magic resist item (facing diana or oneshot), buy malmorthius, if dps ap (mages), buy wits end Combos: Q AA E AA R AA E AA Q (if u have cdr boots and lvl 9) always basic after ability Fast combo with animation cancel is AA E Q and it procs electrocute Gameplay tips -Always use R to evade CC, and predict if they will jump a wall so u can follow the target - R + Q to lockdown a carry is a very good stun, is nearly a 2 seconds CC -Dont do Q and R to chase an enemy because u will get very far away of ur teammates and they will not peel u in a fight, if u die like that, is ur fault -You are not a tank, dont enter to the fight like an ornn, if u trade 1x1 for the adc and u trust that ur team can win the teamfight without u, do it, if not, let other people start the fight -Play with the bushes an hiding, a full charged Q does a ton of damage -When ganking, hold ur q to bait his flash, a lot of times they panic flash and u can hit them -Vi is a very good diver because of his shield and triumph, always start dives Best vi streamers/youtubers: Dumpa, Zativert

Eclipse is better for oneshot and damage than trinity force, it gives you shield that prokes with passive and steraks and it also gives you omnivamp. So take that vs squishy match up not trinity force.
The thing is, Eclipse doesn't give stats that Vi wants, Eclipse is just a broken item by itself. Vi needs HP (for bigger shields), AD and AH, and likes AS, Eclipse gives Lethality which is nice, the Omnivamp which is okay-ish, it heals her but most of her damage is initial burst and not continuous damage like most bruisers that run Omnivamp, Armor Pen is worthless because it's a vs Tank item and if you're facing tanks, Divine Sunderer even though it's nerfed is why better and the Eclipse shield doesn't proc as often as you'd want to. It's not a bad item, it's a weak item on Vi, but since Eclipse is busted af, it becomes good-ish on her.
@Skill Capped her E also gives her increased range on her next auto attack or it used to at least. I played a ton of Vi in season 5 so i don't know if it is still around and how it interacts with new lethal tempo but i guess it's a small fun fact
Vi's E is also applies on hits (which is obviously why people like the sheen items) but her reliance on auto weaving and this fact makes Blade of the Ruined King a very valuable buy on her (esoecially into tank match ups of course, but also bruisers where you may need the extra sustain
Extra tips from Vi OTP: if you REALLY need the passive shield, don't waste your ult for it, since the shield only procs after you reach the ground, so in that xin zhao clip, if he waited a few more seconds, he would have died. And the second one: although Vi's R makes you dodge CC, it doesn't make you immune to them, so, be careful when ulting from inside a veigar cage for example, because you will get stunned right after your ult (I already questioned Riot about that and they said it is supposed to work like that). Third one: after this video came up, Vi had some changes in her scaling, so an extra tip would be for you to give priority to hitting your Q, since in the late game it could do more damage when fully charged than your ult, and also if the enemies are stacked, it still hits all of them for the same damage. Have fun! P.S: be careful with some interactions with your ult as well, like thresh Q sometimes can still do those small pulls if you ult in the wrong time, and also skarner (I don't know how it is with the new one), because if he ults you you can just get stuck in place while ulting, and you just start moving again after skarner's ult ends
I was considering signing up for skillcap. I chose Vi as my main. I have to say that she is NOT one of the best duelers. Try going against a Mord or Teemo top. She can't even kill the minions attacking the tower....useless top. Attacking the enemy back line or even the ADC is kamikaze everytime. Her survivability just isn't there. Her dmg is too low to be an assassin. I get confused on wtf she's supposed to be. Her strongest role seems to be a jungle ganker. In team fights she's NOT a diver....terrible recommendation there... To be effective in team fights she's only effective at being dmg support...helping to run down enemies that are fleeing. In the end, you have to play her as a sort of support gank....kinda makes you wonder what's the point of this champ...help a team who's already winning? Was really trying to make this champ work but it's just embarrassing losing toe to toe so much when you're supposed to be a dueler.
The Ability and Auto attack weaving on Vi here is exact like Sett Jg. All his abilitys reset his AA which is really 2 back to back autos. As game goes on Sett is right there with Vi basically identical but Sett can put out more Dmg than Vi and can gain a much much larger shield and live longer.
perhaps a lee sin guide in the future? hes really fun and hes always viable if u know what you are doing, although hes quite popular. he has so to much improve on also vi's puppy eyes are so cute

Vi skills (advanced vi play): Advanced Vi jungle paths... (a whole minigame in itself) hitting 3+ enemies with your Q+R damage in one combo hooking 3+ enemies with your Q+R combo into your team switching places over wall with an enemy using Q flash and R switching places with enemy over wall using Q and Flash Other advanced Vi Combos will include E usage to chain auto resets in between Q and R flash combos The super hard to pull off 9+ chain punch within 2 seconds (requires low ping) using auto Q auto E auto E auto Q auto (optional R to make it a 10 hit combo without stopping). Vi is NOT an "easy" champ. She is not simple. She has so much depth. The perception that she has a low skill requirement is false. She requires auto attack canceling like Riven and has fancy combos like Zed.
Vi is a simple champion, the execution is that is complex. You just dash damage, auto reset and pick off, there isn't much you need to do, but you can expand that to more complex strategies to use your kit to the max. Is like saying playing Garen masterfully is easy, it is not, his kit is gorilla-level, but you can do so much with it.
that’s only semi viable if you’re facing an extremely tanky comp. If I face a tanky comp I go divine sunderer, botrk, then full tank or sometimes I go black cleaver as well depending on whether or not their adc is fed (if yes, you need the extra dmg to burst him so you take it). Tank vi relies to heavily on her team.
@@bear532 Any actual tank is too reliant on teammates, that's why damaging tanks (Poppy anyone?) are powerful, they are tanky and independent, if you don't have damage, you're a bullet sponge until your team uses this for their advantage
Also a tip from vi main if you flash into another enemy while in the middle of the ultit will make them air born and deal ALOT of damage ive done it in a team fight and it made us win it but it could be risky if u mess it up, u also delay the ult time
Lethal Tempo is good for tank shredding bc you maintain your shred on the tank while you maintain speed enough to proc quickly on different targets, it's like HoB proc'ing all the time
Duskblades used to be the best Lethality mythic for her, AH steroids does a lot for this playstyle, gives you 2sec Qs to be mobile and bursty. Now that Eclipse is reworked to give AH, Eclipse is better
Eclipse is not a good item on Vi, the thing is Eclipse is a busted item, so it becomes great even on a Veigar (it's a joke) It doesn't give stats Vi likes that are primarily HP, AD and AH, the rest is just a bonus and Eclipse only gives her AD (blast from the future: now Eclipse does give AH so NOW it is a viable item, but at that time, it wasn't)
I hate smurfs on bellow plat . We all get it gold, silver, bronze and Iron suck. And having a Dia+ on a Gold/silver game sucks. As even if u got 0/0/0 they will have 60+ Cs and level advantage. Loves the videos, but wish all smurfs just stop going to low enough and just play on there rank.

Been playing vi for many years now and I have to disagree with the runes of choice. I believe phase rush works best on her. That movement speed always comes in clutch. Always. In every game I play, there’s at least one kill I get that I wouldn’t have gotten if it weren’t for phase rush and at least one time I manage to escape where I otherwise wouldn’t have. Phase rush is incredibly deadly early game. On my first few ganks, thanks to phase rush, even if they blow flash I can catch up to them and kill them which sets me up for a snowball. Why does vi even need hail of blades? Her attack speed is fast enough if you’re resetting aa with abilities properly.
I think Phase Rush isn't the issue, is Sorcery. Phase Rush is great on Vi but the other runes are pretty lackluster. Vi doesn't need Manaflow, the magic shield is weak and Nimbus is okay, Transcendence is not needed, Absolute Focus is okay and Celerity does a little bit for the Phase Rush and Nimbus, Gathering Storm is just bad on her, Water Walking is okay and Scorch is weak. The Precision and Domination runes does way more for her kit, even Resolve.
Viable because Eclipse is a busted item. Right now in 2023 it is a viable item, but back in the day it wasn't, it didn't give any stat Vi wants besides AD.
Eclipse on Vi is good because Eclipse is broken, not because it synergizes with her. The only stat she cares is AD, armor pen for assassin is garbage, omnivamp on a burst assassin is pointless, you're squishy, you don't want this fight to take so long, and the shield is nice but doesn't justify the rest, even Draktharr is better just for the AH steroids that she needs. Now they reworked the item and NOW it is actually a really good lethality option for her, took the omnivamp which didn't make a difference and gave it AH which is fantastic for Vi.

Lethal Tempo is good for tank shredding bc you maintain your shred on the tank while you maintain speed enough to proc quickly on different targets, it's like HoB proc'ing all the time

Duskblades used to be the best Lethality mythic for her, AH steroids does a lot for this playstyle, gives you 2sec Qs to be mobile and bursty.
Now that Eclipse is reworked to give AH, Eclipse is better

As it relates to item build, does it mean building eclipse on her is pointless?
Eclipse is not a good item on Vi, the thing is Eclipse is a busted item, so it becomes great even on a Veigar (it's a joke)
It doesn't give stats Vi likes that are primarily HP, AD and AH, the rest is just a bonus and Eclipse only gives her AD (blast from the future: now Eclipse does give AH so NOW it is a viable item, but at that time, it wasn't)

Conqueror is very good if you're planning to be the tanky bruiser of the team, HoB is nice but your auto reset basically does the same thing
I hate smurfs on bellow plat . We all get it gold, silver, bronze and Iron suck. And having a Dia+ on a Gold/silver game sucks. As even if u got 0/0/0 they will have 60+ Cs and level advantage. Loves the videos, but wish all smurfs just stop going to low enough and just play on there rank.
Yes, hate unranked to diamond for this. I think chess has an option where you can identify your main rank on a ‘smurf’ so opponents lose less LP.
@@eoinmacarthur2129 it is a lot easier to verify in chess because we have stockfish to analyze the game, so if youre lying about being 2000 elo and make a ton of mistakes every game it is pretty obvious

Been playing vi for many years now and I have to disagree with the runes of choice. I believe phase rush works best on her. That movement speed always comes in clutch. Always. In every game I play, there’s at least one kill I get that I wouldn’t have gotten if it weren’t for phase rush and at least one time I manage to escape where I otherwise wouldn’t have. Phase rush is incredibly deadly early game. On my first few ganks, thanks to phase rush, even if they blow flash I can catch up to them and kill them which sets me up for a snowball. Why does vi even need hail of blades? Her attack speed is fast enough if you’re resetting aa with abilities properly.

I think Phase Rush isn't the issue, is Sorcery. Phase Rush is great on Vi but the other runes are pretty lackluster. Vi doesn't need Manaflow, the magic shield is weak and Nimbus is okay, Transcendence is not needed, Absolute Focus is okay and Celerity does a little bit for the Phase Rush and Nimbus, Gathering Storm is just bad on her, Water Walking is okay and Scorch is weak.
The Precision and Domination runes does way more for her kit, even Resolve.

Viable because Eclipse is a busted item. Right now in 2023 it is a viable item, but back in the day it wasn't, it didn't give any stat Vi wants besides AD.

Eclipse on Vi is good because Eclipse is broken, not because it synergizes with her. The only stat she cares is AD, armor pen for assassin is garbage, omnivamp on a burst assassin is pointless, you're squishy, you don't want this fight to take so long, and the shield is nice but doesn't justify the rest, even Draktharr is better just for the AH steroids that she needs.
Now they reworked the item and NOW it is actually a really good lethality option for her, took the omnivamp which didn't make a difference and gave it AH which is fantastic for Vi.
Who a one TV show changes everything huh
