I use the Gravity speaker stands with the round base. They are more than sturdy for a pair of 12' tops. I have had a pair of 15's on them too and they're fine.
In my experience, changing your booth to something heavier with no protection to your RX3 from customers would be an expensive mistake. I agree about getting the Gravity stands and speaking from experience these are great. The ADJ Duo moving heads are dated, and I agree should be replaced. Personally, I’d head down the Helix HP moonflower route which is about to be released 150w led which I think will be better than lugging around those plinths.
Brilliant video JP. I wouldn't mind having a wedding set up like yours. I think its great myself. Love your inno pocket lights on the trusses. Great content 👌.
I have been using the Chauvet wireless DMX system for a while and it works very well and the battery life is very good, I have run mine for about 4 hours at a gig and there was still plenty of life in them as I used them at a 3 hour gig and did not recharge them between and they still ran the whole evening without running out.
@@RealLifeDJ sorry just seen your reply , I’ve had it now a few months and it’s game changer and I’ve definitely got more bookings for a different look 👍 I’m having a second one built now looks really cool and another look for the clients.
JP a nice pair of EV evolve 50 would be a good speaker upgrade for you. The Yamaha speakers and subs weight a ton and you can lighting your DJ load and setup time.
@@RealLifeDJ I own them and I love to use them on my small to medium size events up to 150 people. I did a party with 250 people and they worked fine too. No complains.
I agree about tripod speaker stands looking ugly. My speakers are also pig ugly! The booths look great. Kevin on Mobile DJ Remastered has something similar and all his cables are hidden and he has lots of power to plug things in. Enjoy choosing your new gear - thats always fun!
Great vid JP, I too am wanting to change the look of my set up for 22’ and like the booth furniture look, but worry about pissheads & drinks, I do like the protection that the truss booth provides. Intelligent lighting is the way forward for me. Looking forward to the next instalment. 😎
Yes the Truss Booth provides a lot of protection from the idiots, maybe an electric fence is the solution 😂 I’m also looking at the BT Air lights as that might be a solution for me! 😎👍🏻
Looking Forward to what you end up going with JP I do love my evolve 50s and there are a lot of column speakers available in various price ranges love their look in sleek set up
Hi JP, hope you’re well. Have you considered the equinox contour DJ Screen as a booth? It’s just been released and looks very nice. The only thing about the wooden stand booths is that I’d find it a pain to hide cables etc using one. In terms of moving heads the ADJ focus spot 4z pearl looks very nice. How much you looking for the pocket spot twins? I’m UK based. Thanks
Not looked at that one, will check it out! The one I’m looking at has them all the cable internal, I’ll also have a look at the ADJ lights. As much as I can get for the pocket spot twin once I’ve got their replacements 😎👍🏻
Does anybody know what the dimension should be on a base plate to hold a RCF 935a ?? And also what should the height be so that speakers didn’t topple ???
Not really as I’m yet to find any that match the DXR’s for performance when 150 plus people on the dance floor! Maybe if I saw some in action at an event I would have more confidence! Any you would recommend?
@@RealLifeDJ The Electro-Voice 30M's get good reviews and people say they are good for 150-200 people events or it's bigger brother the Evolve 50's plus you can get both in white
@@RealLifeDJ Probably a good idea, I would imagine it's hard on your back laying it. I guess you have to find someone who you really trust and will show up on time etc.

I would look at the martin audio blackline x12p and I think they can be had in white, lighting wise the chauvet rogue2 or martin rush
Thanks 😎👍🏻

Depends on type of gig and the venues you work at, is use that at high end events only 😎😎
Yes those Intimidator Spots would be awesome! Although the ADJ spots are probably just as good or even better. Nice Video JP Peace Out!
Hi Kirk, Thanks for the input and yes the ADJ ones are ones I should look at but I'm not sure they do a white version either!
Can’t wait to see what products you go for!
Same here! 😎👍🏻

That’s good, be interesting to find out if they would do a 6 hour event in one go? 😎👍🏻
Like RD I use the round gravity stands, takes a 12" speaker no problem, and looks much smarter than them awful scrims. Keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍 👌
Looks like I need to get myself some sooner than later!! 😎👍🏻
I’ve ordered a booth from tony in white they look great ! I have a van do hopefully moving it about should be a lot easier. Great vid 🙌🏼
When does yours arrive?

No all sold

Even I’m not sure what’s changing currently
Can recommend the Chauvet wireless dmx dongles. Quick n easy setup with good battery life.
Good to know thanks 😎👍🏻
Cheeky pic of me ✌️

punters still come lean over your gear and try to stand their drinks on the kit no matter how posh the venue or event.
