Did your method with 11x 246 your way done I get is 26106,but RIGHT ANSWER IS 2706? so you can come into tricky ones without multiplying by a number in the thousands like your example above.

break it into simpler forms, like 5^2 * 5^2 which is 25*25 which turns out at 25^2 and you get 625

Trick with multiplying with 10. For example take 240x10. Do 240x1 which is 240 then add a zero.
